John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, save he who came down from heaven, even the son of man which is in heaven. The dead sleep,no knowledge in the grave, that verse shows no one has gone to heaven yet but Christ. If believers had already gone to heaven there would be no need for a resurrection, 1 Th 4:16 the dead in Christ shall rise first and meet Christ in the air when He returns. Deu 18:11 & 12 God forbids necromanancy-seeks-inquires,requires of dead.

My friends pray for me...and we are asked to pray for one another. God commands it.
My friends not only exist on earth but also in heaven. And I know they are praying for me too.
---lisa on 1/23/08

Nope, not one! We pray to God in Jesus' name as the bible says to do. Any prayers to anyone else is useless and offensive to God.

Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus Christ is also Intercessor (Hebrews 7:25) "..He always lives to make intercession for them". There is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus Christ. So, we pray for each other to the Father in Jesus' name. Jesus is both Mediator and Intercessor before the Father for us. Jesus is the only way to the Father.

No. Jesus is the only mediator between us and the Father, but read the beginning verses in that chapter and you will note that we are all called to petition the Lord for each other. This is called intercession, not mediation.

Jesus Christ is the one and only Mediator between God and man. Anyone who teaches there is another mediator is teaching lies and heresy.
---Helen_5378 on 4/9/07

Only those who do not believe the bible will say that there is more than one mediator.
---M.P. on 4/8/07

There is NO other mediator. Not one! Jesus is the only advocate I need and the only one God provides. Oh, you can pray to Mary and the saints if you want to, but why not just go ahead and pray to the sun or the moon or the rock outside your house. Same thing - pointless and hopeless.

mike8384, I am a genuine, authentic, Holy Ghost filled, saint, tongue talking, tongue interpreting, prophesying, preaching, teaching, with signs following, born-again, saved, sanctified, Christian man of God: I am not a catholic.

Eloy, I always thought you were RCC, if so your making fun of your church teaching.
The doctrine of the mediatrix BVm is an official papal proclamation, circa 12th century. I`ve lost my notes, but thats what I remember.

mike8384, Mediatrix? Trix are for kids, you silwy wilwy wabbit...I jest. Ancester worship is an old false teaching. Don't you just love the absolutes in the Bible. God makes things so very plain, yet many still do not grasp the truth. He says, One, yet foolish people say, two, three, four, etc.
---Eloy on 6/6/06

No. Jesus takes our prayers to the Father. He interceeds on our behalf. If we pray and that prayer doesn't go through because of Satan, Michael the Archangel goes and gets those prayers and takes them to God. Michael fights on our behalf, but Jesus is the mediator just as the bible says.

It's in the Bible.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
---Bible on 6/4/06

No. The word is straightforward in this. I do not need a priest to confess my sins to and tell me to say a number of hail Marys...I go directly to Jesus.

The official Catholic teaching is that Mary is also a mediator between God and man.
Also when a church teaches that their church is the only way to salvation that church is placing their institution (the church) in the role of mediator. And those teachings are heresies.

Jesus is the only bridge between god and mankind...there is no other.
---emman4673 on 6/3/06

NO, there can be no other mediator!
---WIVV on 6/3/06

No. There is only Jesus our mediator.
Do not go beyond what is written in the bible.

Jesus Christ is the One and only mediator between God and man... God never lies, so it is impossible for there to be any other mediator other than His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is the One who by His death on the Cross at Calvary became mediator for us.
---Helen_5378 on 6/3/06

Absolutely No.

Absolutely No.

Only if the Bible was lying, as it states here clearly there can only be one.
Ok, so there is another one, that makes them as important as the Lord, think about it.
Sorry, forgot the BVM, official RCC doctrine being that she is the Mediatrix of salvation.
