YES, gold is a very good investment BUT only if the location of it is in heaven!

What businesses are stories do you know, that accept gold in payment for goods?
---Mima on 1/21/08

NO! Not unless your planning on sticking around here(Earth) for a while, Which would be a mistake.
Gold will become as a Cankerous sore upon those who gather it in these end times.
Seek the things of God, NOT the things of this World... These are the Lords words and he has many more that pertains to this...

If you are a pirate... Gold is one of the poorest investments out there. it's only good because it is stable and will still be worth something. Stocks on average have always grown at a much greater rate than gold.

In my opinion, if you are look for a good investment now. I would say with in the next 5 years here in the states, "FRESH WATER" will be the next commodity. I know in my area or region, with the growth now and that is predicted, I have not heard of any NEW FRESH WATER RESAVIOURS being planned, and the ones we have are either low from drought, or from the growth.

Gold or any precious metals can be a good investment or various commodities traded on the futures market.

If we are going to war with Iran, Persian rugs could be a good investment; when most of Iran is at 985 rads an hour for the next 850 years the supply of new ones is going to be rather dismal for a while.

Who will have the money to buy the gold from us if we're at war? Where will that person get the money from if there is none to go around?
---Donna9759 on 6/6/06

The gold market today exists for the money exchangers who buy and sell gold. Concerning gold I would ask, when gold appreciates in value can it then be spent in its natural form or does conversion to spendable money cost in fact you money?

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
