Angel Lapel Brooches Evil
Many trinket shops and quite a number of Christian bookshops now sell little pin lapel brooches depicting 'My Guardian Angel'. I bought one then decided not to wear it. Have you seen them, what do you think about them?

New Age has just lately "discovered" angels. They have treated them as dieties. Angels exist in the Bible as well as everyday life...Why not wear an angel if you like it? |

I personally agree with Robyn, also just happened to think, perhaps the sight of an angel pin may get someone's mind on God that otherwise wouldn't think of God, maybe? Just my 2 cents :) |

Have seen angel brooches but not this one in particular. But I would wear an angel pin/brooch to work or church. I see nothing wrong with it. I believe we have ministering angels and guardian angels. |

Pick up any women's magazine, usually a section for angel testimonies. People are encouraged to believe in, talk with their guardian angel. Angel worship is forbidden in the Bible.

They are not of God, they are New Age. |

Elder- If you would care to rephrase the question to where it actually MAKES SENSE, I MIGHT attempt to answer it. I HOPE you were just being funny? |

TS, which would you rather have, Angel Charge or Master Charge? The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. I'd rather have Master Charge, thank you....no paper or plastic. |

I suppose it's similar to wearing a cross. Everything depends of why we wear them. I have an Ixthus brooch and you can also buy one depicting the empty tomb and one showing a communion plate with bread and wine on it. Eventually non-believers will latch on to these and wear them because they are 'cute' or 'Madonna has one' etc. I think we must each decide for ourselves. |

3. I say if your faith can be shaken or you can be decieved by a trinket box, you'd better go back and check to see how deep your roots in God actually go! Angels are real, we know they are real, and we should know what purpose they serve- the Bible is plain about it. Satan is also real, and we SHOULD know it's his specialty to pervert everything holy and lay traps for people who are not guarding their hearts and minds |

2. Same thing with angels. Angel trinket boxes or jewelry in and of themselves are not evil- angels are VERY real. But just because a lot of weirdos out there have started "angel cults" does not mean we are to negate the existance of the real thing and to be scared to death that having a figurine of an angel or angel earrings or whatever means we have taken leave of our senses and we're part of some kind of demonic cult. |

Helen- food for thought: "Jesus" is quite popular among the heathenistic world as well (not the REAL Jesus, but one they've created in their own minds) What about homosexual churches- they THINK that they "worship Jesus" and are saved- why I even know some who think they are Holy Ghost filled! So does it make sense for all of us to quit serving the REAL JESUS just because satan has decieved many and caused them to worship a false Jesus? |

What I think about them... First all of the "angel" pins and "guardian angels" I have seen depicted are feminine. Find one place in the Bible were an angel of God is feminine. Second, I find no actual proof of a guardian angel in scripture. That would make both the above false images. Angels are messengers of God with a purpose. There are heavenly and earthly angels (messengers) depicted in the Bible. My opinion, I like the open tomb IF jewelry is to be used... |

These angel trinkets and angel trinket boxes are everywhere. The Lord has given me discernment that they are not ok....they point people to angels themselves, and not to the Lord Himself. People are going kinda nuts over angels (unsaved that is). We must reject anything that is of the world that will lead the lost astray. |

You guys would argue over just about anything! LOL :)
The Word says that He gives his angel charge over us- what's the big deal? It's a piece of jewelry! Satan perverts anything God has, we should all know that. Search the word angels on the internet and see what all kinds of weird stuff you find. That does NOT prove angels are evil. Just proves satan is mad cause he's no longer in thier holy ranks! |

We should not have images of things in heaven. No matter if you worship it or not they're still idols.Anyhting before God is not acceptable. Even the Angels say not to bow to them. Even if it is just a pin, we should remember from the bible that Angels guard us, though we do not need to see them. |

It is just a pin with an angel on it. what else could it mean? Now if you were to lay it down on the floor or somewhere and started to worship it, then yeah, I could see the problem. But as far as wearing one, what is the big deal? The problem most people have is they don't believe in angels. So they are the ones that have a problem. |

No fear Pharisee, you don't need a pin with an angel on it. God's very own angels have gathered round about you to guard you in all your ways and keep you lifted high. I have seen them when I pray for you. |

Helen, why do you say they are New Age? I bought one of these a few years ago (they are very nice indeed) but after wearing it for about a week I had a few negative comments about 'people getting silly about angels these days' so felt that perhaps I should not wear it. I have felt unsure ever since. I'm pleased to see the positive answers here so far. People buy Christmas cards with angels on etc. so what's the difference? It certainly isn't worshipping them. Have you read Billy Graham's book 'Angels'? |

Surely anything that helps us or others think of God - is not ungodly! |

I think anything that keeps you "in Christ" is a good thing. If you're anywhere between athiest and believer, they could mislead one into believing they give you some level of invincibility, I suppose. Hmmm, not sure. |

I'd ask God if the Angels find it insulting. (I'm not kidding) He's willing to confirm most things in prayer if you ask about it in spirit. Some things you're not supposed to know;
Perfect example- the end of the age. does it say "my guardian angel on it?" Because if it did you couldn't pay me to wear it then. |

I think they are a beautiful reminder of God's love for us. He loved us so much that He gave each of us a Guardian Angel. I believe that it honors God to honor and thank Him for the creation He made.
As long as you do not use it as a superstitious object, but rather as a sign of God's love for us, it's fine. |

I have angel pins and I am not new age. I am 100% baptist. I don't worship angels, but they do watch over us. |
