Mary I can relate to you. I feel the same way. I don't ever want to hurt anyone's feelings but if we are totally honest, some could get offended. I refuse to offend anyone and if that is called a lie, then I am a liar. I've seen some look me in the face and tell a big lie that hurt another. To me they aren't the same. The bible says not to bear "false" witness. That says it all.
---shira4368 on 7/20/14

God has been teaching me to give up my habit of lying (to keep the peace with everyone). I will be praying about it tonight at a special service at my church. If God is working on me in that area, He will make it possible. :)
---Mary on 7/20/14

God has been teaching me what it's like to lean not on my own understanding and to trust him despite my feelings or my desires. Trust that he knows what he is doing. It's been a rough time because I'm finding out that trust him means to let go of everything I ever thought I knew about myself.

Erika: One other thing God has taught me: Do not flaunt any good thing that God has enabled you to have or possess in order to make other human beings feel bad. "If you've got it, flaunt it" is a Satanic message.

How true, Rita and Jerry!

The 'man' hurts worse when they come from your own family.
---Nikki on 7/20/13

Recently God has taught me that 1 person's sin will also suffer many around him/her just as 1 person's righteousness benefits many persons around him/her.
---Adetunji on 7/20/13

Amen Rita! Jesus knows how you feel.

Zec 13:6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

God has taught me that He is the only one on whom I can truly rely.

People fail us, people hurt us, people lie to cover up their wrong doings.

God knows all this and knew it would happen before it did happen and he prepares us to cope providing we are walking in His way.

Without HIM I would probably be in a mental home by now after what 'man' has put me through in the last 22 months.

God never fails.

God Blessed you sister with His wisdom on understanding His Glory and Complete Power of The Resurrection - Death defeated - wages of sin paid - not just for some - but for who so ever believes.

Luke 5:32"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."[...]
Luke 24:47 "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

Philippians 2:10 "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth,"

Much love sis,

God Bless,
Shalom

Since Erika is probably gone by now, I will still answer the question.
God has taught me that He is God and there is no other. He has taught me that all things owe their existence and continuance in existence to His creative and sustaining power.
That His decrees are eternal, unchangeable, holy, wise, and sovereign. His decrees extends not merely to the course of the physical world but to every event in human history from the creation to judgment, and includes all the activities of saints and angels in heaven, and of reprobates and demons in hell.

That is not the God taught in the pupit today. The god in today's pulpit is a god who is defeated day in and day out, who cannot save anyone because sinful man will not let him.
---Mark_V. on 7/18/13

Shira, again your right, I don't know you, but I still love you. I try to learn the person I am answering by how they answer and what they say, and what they defend. Learning about God is a lifetimes duty of every believer. He comes first, before sinful men. It is a story about God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures are centered around God. We begin with God as Genesis, "In the beginning God" I know it's hard to hear something you have never learned about God. I know a whole lot about the God of the Bible. I know more about Him then anyone else. With all the answers I have given you, so far you have been a great trooper, never getting to throwing stones at me personally. I appreciate that, blessings.
---Mark_V. on 7/18/13

markv, if you knew me and you could see my heart, I am more thankful to God for His blessings. I owe God my life. can't remember where its at but God says the firmament speaks of God. I must admit I don't know how that fits in with third world countries and salvation. I believe God has turned His back on many countries because their government and country is witchcraft. our country is headed in the same direction.

Shira, your right, many do not enjoy the same things you enjoy. That's why God does not treat everyone the same. Some are born never to hear the gospel. Some don't think about Jesus, they care from where the next drink of water will come from. Others, care about feeding their starving children. When people speak about the love of God, they seem to think He treats and loves everyone the same, but He doesn't. He determines everything,
"He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and "has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings," so that they should seek the Lord, in hope that they might grope for Him and find Him" (Acts 17:26,27).
---Mark_V. on 7/18/13

He has declared ALL THINGS.
*What we look like without Him, walking/finished - lost
*What we look like with/in Him walking/finished - recovered

All is completed.

He is not subject to 'time' He alone created it -
He uses it as

- 'time turns' - With/In Him.

Only He alone is that path/way that With/In His Word - by His right Hand one has balance/rest/wholeness.

Defined by His very Word He has spoken/written

Y'srael: "Turns the Head of God"
Y'erusalem: "pointing the way to completeness"

Repentance unto remission
Luke 24:47 "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
---char on 7/17/13

markv, I know I should be thankful everyday and I am more thankful than you can imagine. let me just say I was born in the best country in the world to Godly parents who carried me to church and prayed for me. now I look back and see not many in the world can say that. I am blessed. I was saved at 13 and not many can say that. each day that passes and I watch the news, I know how blessed I am. I also have as many bibles as I want and I can worship without the threat of death. now, brother that is awesome.
---shira4368 on 7/17/13

markv, God did know me from the foundation of the world. who is me? it is the human race. God knew all men before the foundation of the world. I never said I made decisions for God. that is too far out....when I became a Christian because I accepted God, now I belong to Him and I live for Him and try to do His will for my life. yes some are chosen for different things. God calls special ones for a certain thing like pastors and etc.

Shira, your right, you don't deserve what God has done for you. It is a clear fact for you and for me. He elected you from the foundation of the world to be saved (a vessel of honor), and you should be so thankful everyday for what He has done for you and me. Read (Rom. 9:20,21)
To those who complain about God forcing them, he tells them,
"But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to Him who formed it, "Why have you made me like this? Does not the Potter have power over the clay, "from the same lump" to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?" So who are those who reply against God that He cannot do what He so wills with man? yet sinful man complain.
---Mark_V. on 7/17/13

markv, have you ever heard the song "potter and the clay"? I'm just a handful of clay the Father found along the way. and I'll never know what Jesus sees in me. I didn't mean to imply that God is done with me. He is molding me as I speak. I don't deserve what God has done for me.
---shira4368 on 7/16/13

Shira, here you say,
"I am a handful of clay being molded into what God would have me. I will never be good enough but by Grace I am saved. Thank God for His mercy."
Why do you thank God at all? you gave Him permission to come into your life. He should thank you for giving Him permission. He could not force you to be His child. You chose Him with your free will. You say you could have rejected Him if you wanted. It was all up to you. So why now give Him the glory?
As I said before when confronted with God, everyone tells the Truth, That He is sovereign, and He had mercy on you. Without that mercy you would still be heading to hell. Every believer should be praising God for His mercy.
---Mark_V. on 7/16/13

God has spoken to me a lot but 2 stand out. no I didn't hear him but He put it in my heart. a website that showed me what meds I needed for my thyroid and another time He told me to stay with my husband and keep praying and I did both of those. my husband got saved several years after that. other things are laying on my heart to give and support some ministries and I like to help people.

Have boldness to share the Good things of God. Grant you God has the faith for them to come to pass in anybodies life. If you sow them. The Gospel is the Good things from God not judgment. If your sowing his judgment you will reap his judgment, will not be fun. But if your sowing his Gospel you will reap his Gospel. I would rather reap that than judgment any day. Have faith in the Gospel like when you were born again. Somebody told you Jesus would never leave you or forsake you. That's Good news That can't be stopped cause there is no judgment in that, when you sow it. Mark 4:31,32. It is the smallest seed but when it is sown it will grow over everything else in your garden. That means all the chaos in your life. Sow it and watch it grow.
---Bryan on 7/15/13

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness... Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." Romans 1:18,21,22

Never once does the apostle or Scripture says "satan is roaring around and all he does is causing chaos". Truth be told according to Paul, the "chaos" in this world is from the "wrath of God" and that's because of all the "ungodliness and unrighteousness of men", period.

To be far more patient in dealing with certain things going on in my life just now. I have to ask Him, in prayer, to make me go at His pace and not my own.
---Rita_H on 7/15/13

bryan, the world is in super chaos. we are not children of this world. satan is roaring around and all he does is causing chaos. look at the condition the world is in. it is satans domain. if he can't take you to hell, then he tries to kill our testimony and therefore, we will have no influence on sinners even if we testify to them.

I want to know why all the chaos in the world. I asked God not a pastor or a preacher I asked God. He show me why. It was freely given to me. The parable of the sower he said this is what going on with believers and non-believers. First 4 things in that parable happens a lot to the word of God the last three are very rare. Tie this in with Galatians 6:7 with what you sow is what you reap. Then I ask him how to fix it he said sow the Gospel reap the gospel. My word is a small part of a persons life but if you keep sowing it. It will grow larger than any thing in a persons life.

God has taught me the importance of following the command found in 2 Timothy 2:14-19, and to follow the example found in Acts 17:11.

In the world we live in today, I have learned this is so very important because of what is written Romans 1:18-32, and 2 Peter Chapter 2.

Humility, or meekness.I believe this is Gods plan to enable a believer to grow. When you can through the spirit control the flesh with these gifts from the holy spirit so many other things begin to make sense to you.Faith, love, patience, knowledge that all tests and trials are of God to refine you and help you grow spiritually.

God is teaching me how to continue living life in the face of struggles. To do what He wants me to do and not what others expect me to do and NOT hurt their feelings. I am not mean, I'm usu. blunt. God is softening me and giving me more grace and LOVE for others. Patience with others and myself. Other stuff too. That is just on my mind today

I have a problem of wanting God to do things when "I" expect and ask him too. Time and time again, he has shown me He is in charge of my life, and He knows what's best and when to show me His awesome power over the trials in my life. At times, I have to just sit down, shake my head in astonishment on how He controls certain aspects in my life and the end results makes me just want to praise and thank him. Even thru my frustrations.
