Part 2.1:

But worst of all:

The idea that "spirits" need a body to manifest through is called "trance channelling," "mediumship", and "demonic possession."

Donna and Helen, you are right.

I pointed these things out to this fellow afterwards, and said "The Holy Spirit is God, and therefore doesn't need anything OR anybody."

"Gee. I'm going to have to look this up," he replied.

"What's to look up? It's right there in the Resurrection accounts."

But he had this theory and he was going to cling to it regardless of what the Bible said.

Wow - Jesus did have a body after the resurrection hence Thomas putting his hand in Jesus' side. Jesus ascended on high i.e. He went straight to heaven, so He already had his immortal body before He went back to heaven, whereas we have to wait until our resurrection to get ours!

Just a guess, Jack. Jesus did have a physical body after the resurrection...he asked Thomas to put his hand on the wounds of his crucifixion. He miraculously appeared in a room with closed doors and filled disciples fishing nets when they could catch nothing. The Holy Spirit is...well, a spirit. He is GOD. He convicts sinners of their sin, comforts and guides and teaches believers without any need of a physical body.

At the urging of an acquaintance, I went to hear one of these dog-and-pony show wandering prophets. I don't know if he was part of KCP.

He actually said, "Jesus could perform no miracles after His resurrection because He didn't have a physical body and the Holy Ghost needs a physical body to manifest through." And the congregation was eating this junk up with a spoon!

What three errors are in this statement, class?

Moderator - I am very curious as to why you said "use caution".

Moderator - Because there are many false things associated with this group of people. I would steer clear.
