when you pray to God, just pray boldly to him,-----boldly--pray with confidence and authority.

For me it means I can be confident knowing that when I come to the Father in prayer I am not trying to overcome His reluctance, but rather I am taking hold of His willingness.

part 3:
A natural man who, despite the teaching of Scripture, tries to pray without a Saviour insults the Deity; and he who imagines that his own natural desires, coming up before God, unsprinkled with the precious blood, will be an acceptable sacrifice before God, makes a mistake. When prayer, by the Holy Spirit, presented for us by the Christ of God, prayer becomes power before the Most High.

part 2:
the interposition of the Lord Jesus Christ is essential to acceptable prayer. As prayer will not be truly prayer without the Spirit of God, so it will not be prevailing prayer without the Son of God. This is why Jesus said, "No man comes to the Father except thru me." Jesus, the Great High Priest, thru his crucified person can only go to God.

Thru prayer, it is our spiritual approach to God. Or the ADVANCE of our spiritual desires TO GOD. The work of the Holy Ghost is needed. If prayer were of the lips alone, we should only need breath to pray: if prayer were of the desires alone, many excellent desires are easily felt, even by natural men: but when it is the spiritual desire, and the spiritual fellowship of the human spirit with God's Spirit, then the Holy Ghost himself must be present.

The way I understand this is, before Christ came and died for us, it was required that a high priest would go into the most Holy place, or behind the second curtain of the tabernacle to offer a blood sacrifice for his sins and for the sins of the people. Hebrews 9:1-10. When Jesus died for us the curtain was torn in two Mark 15:38-39, and we no loger need a high priest to ask God to forgive us because we can go boldly to God ourselves through Jesus Christ Eph 3:12.

I believe it means that as God's child, I am to come to Him willingly, and purposefully to be in His Holy presence.

To come up to God with confidence. Everything that belongs to God belongs to us & everything that belongs to Jesus belongs to us.(Romans 8:17) We are heirs according to the promise.
