Evil Because Not Healed

I was just wondering why God would allow some sickness to be healed and others not? Are those whe get healed more pure then those who aren't? My husband has lost faith in some churches because they think he's evil for not getting healed by thier hands.

God does everything after the council of His own Will. He does nothing after man's will. None can stay His hand. Daniel 4:34-35, Ephesians 1:10-12

He requires His children to be under complete obedience to Him and His Only Begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He knows what we need before we ask. He requires that we ask anyway. Matthew 6:7-15 The Lord Jesus Christ taught us how to pray . . . Thy (God the Father's) Will be done . . . not my (our) will be done. Submit solely to the Father's Will, pray His Will is done always and He hears our prayers.
---Paul on 7/17/10

If we ask anything according to His Will He hears us. Conversely, if we ask anything that is NOT according to His Will He does NOT hear us. 1 John 5:13-15

We don't have because we don't know how to ask. We ask according to our own strong desire for something our lust. James 4:2-4

Some times, the Father's answer is simply no. God brings affliction to His own some times for His own purpose. The Apostle Paul was going blind. He asked the Lord Jesus Christ thrice (three times) to remove the thorn from his side, but the Lord's answer was no. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9

Healing doesn't come just by laying on hands it takes faith to move God. God has a reason for everything. Your husband is not evil because he hasn't been healed. churches are wrong to think that way. God ways are not our ways and his time is not our time. The problem lies in the fact that we put more faith in people than we do God. anoint your husband with oil (doesn't matter what kind) and both of you pray for a healing. God said where two or three are gathered in my name, I will be there in the midst.

That your husband has not "gotten healed at their hands" may say more for the churches involved than your husband.

All we know for SURE is that God is sovereign, and we are not.

Think about all the other people lying by the Pool of Bethesda. Yet Jesus healed only ONE person there. Why? I don't know, except, as I said, He is the one who is sovereign. We don't have God on a string for Him to dance and obey when we pull it.

How old is your husband? If he is not healed by the doctors and by the ministers laying hands on him, then I believe God has His own reasons. Accepting this disease, accepting the situation he is in, will help him not to focus on the healing anymore but on living. Make the best out of the situation you are in. God bless you both!

Jack, your friend should try to take less pain killers as they can be addictive. There are safe alternatives that he could try, some cheap some not so cheap. My sis-in-law uses a heat pack for fibromyalgia. It is a bag filled with wheat, heated for 2 minutes in a microwave oven. This was recommended to her at a self-help group and she finds it helps a lot. Also aromatherapy massage helps. Expensive if you go to a professional but with a little knowledge of the oils used this can be done at home.
---emg on 7/9/06

I have a friend with fibromyalgia. He's on disability from it. He has to take an incredibly large number of narcotics just to bring the pain to a tolerable level--not to kill it.

Sometimes, he is in such pain he cannot get out of the bed.

Yet he knows that God has His hand in it all, and nothing will happen to him without God's providence.

My husband has fsh md Starting at 13.He has had many people pray over him with him.He has attended many many healing services. It's to the point now we wonder why this has happened to him (no one in his family has it) and if it's ever going to get better in this short time on earth (never blaming God). Jesus does heal but he also teaches too.

Pt2
If healing is needed, spend as much time as possible drawing from healing scriptures (reading, meditating, confessing, listening to healing teachings). The Word is supernatural ... it is alive (Hebrews 4:12); it causes itself to come to pass (Isaiah 55:10,11); and it works like medicine (Proverbs 4:20-22); {the word "health" in verse 22 literally means medicine in the original text}.

When you're seeking God for healing, seek God ... draw from Him & His Word.

Pt1
According to James 1, a double-minded person should not expect to receive from God. It doesn't say God doesn't give ... it says the person does not receive. When the Bible says, with His stripes, you are healed and yet healing has not been manifested, double-mindedness is often lingering. The problem is always on the receiving end, it is never God holding out on us. The cure for double-mindedness is in James 4:8 ... draw closer to the Lord.

James 5:14-15 NIV
14. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
15. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

Whose prayers are offered up? Elder's
Whose faith? Those offering the prayer.
For a church to say your husband is evil because he hasn't been healed is wrong!
I will be prayig for your husband.

Tina:
1/2
This a mixture of truth and error.

It IS true that God heals, at his time, and in his way. Healing IS in the Atonement.

However to say that He did not heal because of this or that is too make God into a puppet, doing as we will, but only if WE do it according to a "correct" formula.
---John_T on 7/7/06

Tina:
2/2 That makes God a responder to our "Christian magic spells"

Instead of "casting spells" we are trust, and to obey, James 5:16ff. We go to the elders of the church, recieve annointing, and leave knowing that our all-loving God NEVER does anything wrong or harmful to His children
---John_T on 7/7/06

Amen Ricky.
Have faith in God.
Isa. 53:5 is the first witness concerning this for Tina's husband and whomsoever will. 1 Peter 2:24 reaffirmed it. You and I declare that same testimony. That makes four believing in the finished work of Christ. Receive the wholeness of the promise Tina's husband and be blessed. Mat. 18:19 "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven".
---J on 7/6/06

It is not their hands that heal, it is Jesus Who heals. It is probably no wonder your husband has not been healed by "their" hands --- God will not give His glory to any man. If I were him, I would go elsewhere for prayer, somewhere where God's glory is not being stolen.

Your husband is RIGHT to lose faith in churches like this. Anybody who thinks he's evil for not being healed at their hands has a SERIOUS problem. This does not mean he needs to lose faith in GOD, however. All healing comes from God, miraculous or medical.
---Donna2277 on 7/6/06

Have you ever consulted a medical doctor for his type of disease? I am asking because the ministers laying hands on him are not medical doctors. Are we not going to use help at our disposal before we doubt our own purity because we aren't healed by God?
---Bebet3754 on 7/6/06

The Reason your husband has not been healed by those laying hands on him is because none of them laying hands on him have the gifts of healing and!!!

I join my faith with him now that by Jesus' stripes he WAS healed. Just recieve it. In Jesus' Name.
Post his testimony of his healing recovery.
---Rickey on 7/6/06

He is not going to be healed because he was already healed. Read & meditate on 1Peter 2:24 & Psalms 103:3. By faith he just has to recieve it. Tell him keep doing what God said in Joshua 1:8, "meditate therein day and night" . The word meditate mean to think on and speak. The woman with the issue of blood kept saying " if I only touch His garment I will be made whole". She kept speaking & had what she said.(Mark 5:28)
---Rickey on 7/6/06

sounds like just maybe the problem is with the people laying on the hands, not your husband. But his faith needs to be in God not the people. we are all gifted and used by God to do his will thru christ.
---tom2 on 7/6/06

No it is not of evil. Not all people laying on hands is gifted from God, or chosen by God. People get healed on different basis ,through Gods timing not ours.

No one knows why God heals some and don't heal others. God uses doctors to heal and medicine to heal and herbs to heal. Maybe their hands are evil which was laid on him. the church in which you are referring is passing judgement on you. They are trying to play God and it don't work.
---shira on 7/6/06

I believe there are miracles, healings, and gifts of information in our lives. God is the one who chooses who these go to and not us. There are natural illnesses and there are unnatural ones. God gives us physicians and such for the natural ones and faith for all else. There are many scriptures about each of these. Another area a family could enjoy researching in the Bible. Alas, churches are made up of people just like us... faults and all.
---mikefl on 7/6/06

Tina--I don't know if we will ever have an answer to your question this side of Heaven. But, the way I see it, if a church thinks your husband is evil for not being healed by "their" hands, THEY have a GIGANTIC problem. Your husband is right in having no faith in them. GOD is the one worthy of your faith. HE is the one that heals. And He does it in various ways, miraculous or medical.
