To all Christians that have studied the Book of Revelation carefully, and which know that the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine is false... There is a strong proof to show the Pre-Trib rapture teachers that they're plain wrong.

Read the 1560 Geneva Bible at Matthew 24:29-31 and there is a star right by the passage of Matthew 24:29-31 encouraging you to compare Revelation 1:7 / I Corinthians 15:52 / and I Thessalonians 4:16. "There! This is what the Protestant Reformers, Puritans, and Pilgrims believed." It's a strong proof.

(This proves that the pre-trib rapture doctrine was unheard of in the 16th Century to Christendom, and therefore, the pre-trib rapture teaching is a new strange doctrine.)

Great posting...Cyrstal hit it on the nail..but like to add keep thyself holy!

"Like the virgin brides, we are to keep our lamps full of oil. This is a picture of being filled with the Holy Spirit. We should read the Word of God, pray, and watch. We will know the time is drawing near by reading the signs Christ described more than once in the New Testament. Lastly, we should be concerned for the lost and witness to them at every opportunity. This will give them a chance at being ready too."

GEE I always thought John and Matthew were NT.

YOU'RE RIGHT WE SHOULD BE FOLLOWING TIMOTHY LE HAY. NOT THIS GUY CALL JESUS THE CHRIST.

(Man I must have my priorities wrong.) I need to fix this book called the Bible because it list John and Mathew in the new testament and Jesus as Messiah. We need to conicalize "Left Behind" as the "TRUE" Gospel.

The great prophet Tim Le-hay!

If you read the book of Revelation carefully, you will find that the people who are to reign with Christ are those who were beheaded because of their faith, not those who are supposedly raptured out before the tribulation.

It's funny John, did Jesus speak in the Book of Daniel?

If so, then Jesus also spoke through Paul when he wrote the letter to the church of Thessalonica about the rapture. Paul said he had been taught by the HS and God himself.

You should not believe everything written on the internet, but instead believe everything written in the Bible.

I see a great multitude suddenly arrive at the exact moment of the beginnning of the Lamb's wrath in Revelation 7. This great multitude is from many peoples, tribes, and tongues, and they all worship the Lamb or Jesus. Their robes have been washed by the blood of the Lamb. Sounds like the church to me.

..utter nonsense Darby and Schofield were christians...believe or disbelieve rapture on the merits of its doctrine and scriptural basis...it is the Jews who must suffer tribulation after the stabilising influence of faithfull brlievers is taken from the earth..what will a christrian gain from tribulation? perfection and a glorified body? ....thats where the real deception lies!

PRI-TRIB RAPTURE IS A HERESY!!!

It was started (19th century) by a Witch named Margaret McDonald(Google it)passed to John Darby then to John Scoffield who brought to America.

Tribulation is for believers, Wrath is for the wicked. All believers have gone through tribulation. Why would G-d give "YOU" a pass??? It comes from the word Tribul. A sled use to seperate the Wheat from the Chaff. A testing of faith.

The 1560 Geneva Bible, in the passage of Matthew 24:29-31, has a star directly next to "Matthew 24:31" encouraging you to compare thus to Revelation 1:7/ Ist Corinthians 15:52/ and I Thessalonians 4:16-17.

Pre-Tribulation teachers try to overthrow the doctrine in I Thessalonians 4:16-17 that "the dead in Christ SHALL rise first" by pointing out that the two witnesses ascende up to heaven in a cloude in Revelation 11 even though the Church has already been "raptured" earlier in the Book of Revelation. Really? Is that truly so? Thankfully, the 1560 Geneva Bible marginal note upon Revelation 11:12 (whereas the two witnesses ascende up to heaven in a cloude) writes, Which shal be at the last resurrection.

Kev, concerning your comments on 8/9/10, Matt 24 is not about the Rapture. It is about the 2nd Coming. They are two different events.
Next, there are people getting Saved throughout the Tribulation so there is no "twist" as you say.
Then, the events in Revelation are not in order from A to Z. You cannot read this book like you do any other in the Bible. When the events are placed in proper order the picture becomes very clear.

And yet, it's very odd that the Pre-Trib writers write that the Rapture takes place in Revelation 4:1
---Kev on 8/9/10

I make no such claim.

Your theory seem to be that ALL the dead in Christ (from crucification until His return) must rise at the same time in the 1 Thes 4 passage.

Funny, I don't read the passage that way.

I read the passage to say that the dead in Christ (up to that point) will rise before those who are alive.

I have read Matt 24 many times. I have asked many Mid and Post Trib. believers why Jesus tells us that He will surprise us with His coming. How can I be surprised by His coming if I have read the Revelation before hand?
---Mark_Eaton on 8/10/10

there seems to be an opinion prevalent among pre- tribs that the anti-christ rides in the first seal but is not mentioned till around the sixth trumpet. I don't think he comes in the first seal on the white horse.
---Larry_Douglas_Williams on 8/10/10

It is sorrowful that Christians are divided over the Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, and Post-Trib doctrine. Sighs,

Read I Thessalonians 4:16-17. It says the dead in Christ shall rise first, "Then" shall we which live and remain, be caught up "with them also" in the cloudes... the dead in Christ "shall" rise first. Period.
I Thessalonians 4:16-17 makes that very clear.

And yet, it's very odd that the Pre-Trib writers write that the Rapture takes place in Revelation 4:1 while Christians are martyred later in Revelation 7:13-14, 13:14-15, 14:12-13... how then, shall the dead in Christ rise first according to I Thessalonians 4:16-17? O! What amazing twisting of Scriptures this is! Read Matthew 24:29-31.

Preparation for the rapture Is according to Mark 16 v 16, Acts 2 v's 37 - 41 which Fulfills Matt.28 v's 19 - 20, including living a clean & a Holy life before God. During Matt.24 v 13 keep lookong up.

Jesus said the righteous need not fear. If you are living every second of the day in fear before God, avoiding evil like the plague, praying often, repenting of sins and never commiting them again, loving Jesus with all your heart, might, mind and strength. avoiding sins that can destroy you like adultery, lies, deceit, swearing, drunkeness and drugs, and always uplifting those around you, you will show the countenance of Jesus Christ in your example and your actions will speak volumes to others.

Wheather there is a rapture or not, we need to be ready for Jesus' return. This means that we need to be moving towards greater knowledge of Him, walking in holiness and serving humbely in obedience. We are to avoid the snares of the world and love God with all our hearts, minds and soul. And importantly, we must love others above ourself.

Lawyer: "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

Jesus: "What is written in the law?

Lawyer: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and to love your neighbor as yourself."

Jesus: "You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live."

And THIS is how you prepare yourself whether you believe in the pre, mid or post tribulation rapture.

I have asked the Lord Jesus Christ to save my soul. And in John 6:37 Jesus has made the statement," that any man that comes to me I will know no wise cast doubt." Therefore trusting that the son of God can keep his promise, I am ready!!!

It is amazing how the Second Coming will be like the Days of Noah and the Days of Lot. Notice that God did not pour out His wrath UNTIL He had safely removed both Noah and Lot to a safe place. The post-tribbers ignore this and expect the Church, the Bride of Christ, to endure the full impact of the Wrath of God? WHY? Why must the church endure the Wrath of God? It just doesn't make sense.

The 'blessed hope' is only for those who believe in the pre-tribulation rapture. The other views, unfortunately, are all waiting for the coming of the anti-Christ and not the Lord Jesus Christ. They have lost their blessed hope! The other views are robbers to the Christian as they seek to steal from the believer the promise of the Word to spare believers the horror of the tribulation. Our blessed hope is the pre-trib rapture - BEFORE the coming of the anti-Chrsit.

They are both fairy tales.

We need to be ready at all times, not 5 minutes from now. We don't know when Jesus is coming back, so it pays to be ready. We need to live for Christ everyday as if it were our last day. Christians shouldn't feel the need to get ready, for we should already be ready.
