James 5:
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the TRUTH, and one CONVERT him,

20 Let him know, that he which CONVERTETH the sinner from the ERROR of his way shall SAVE a soul from DEATH, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
How many more do you need!

We do not condemn anyone to hell. God does it. We are just proclaiming God's judgment upon a wicked nation and a wicked world.>>>And by the way>>We can not rescue anyone from hell. That also is the department of the living God, my friend.++ You see those crosses there? I rest my case.
---catherine on 3/31/08

We are rescuing them, At Least trying too...
When an unsaved person feels the convicting spirit of the Holy Ghost, from the words we tell them, Most of them will take a defensive position, and say WHY ARE YOU JUDGING ME?
Were NOT Judging you, THE WORD of GOD IS!

Actually, I'm a Cloak remover, There will be NO excuses for the people that hear what i say...
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 3/31/08

Sometimes people need to realize they have condemned themselves to hell to realize the fact they need to be rescued from hell.

We love Him because He loved us first
---calhoon on 3/29/07

Jesus gave us two core commandments. Love God and Love neighbour. People want Love first, not faith. God is actually present in the moment when we Love. With Love the recipient will then be ready to receive the message of faith and salvation. And don't forget Hope. There is no point disucssing faith unless you measure this with Hope. Corinthians 13 says Hope is very important. But of course without Love (and by God everyone can recognize true Love from false Love) there is no point in doing anything.

It's so much easier to rebuke than to be rebuked by another! Some are caught in legalism, some extreme beliefs, and some are ignorant of their harsh judgement. God's word teaches us to rebuke our brothers in love, gently. If someone has come at you harshly, go to them, and make peace between the two of you as best you can. Show them the mercy and grace God has shown you, and pray they will do the same next time around.

Smoking is a bad as committing suicide, you don't really know what you are doing to yourelf until the damage is done. You are addicted to a substance that controls your mind and decieves you into thinking you like the stuff when really you loathe it and would like to stop, but you are too removed from your own will and continue at your own peril. How will you be a witness of being an over comer when you yourself cannot. Hypocritical is what it really is.

The thing that I can't get my head round is when people write things that is not altogether correct and encourage others to do the same because they themselves have not reached the point of Denying self and trusting God. If any man will follow Christ, let him deny himself and let him take up his cross, and then let him follow after the Lord. What is a mans advantage if he gains the whole wide world and then Looses His SOUL

Rebecca ... You sound as if you want to quit? If so, why not ask God to give yuo the strength of will?
It's not to do with smoking being a sin, although others try to tell you that it is.
I quit one (after 3 weeks it was becoming a habit) by throwing away the matches. It will be much more difficult for yuo.

Tofurabby, I can empathize with you. It took me 12 years to quit but only 2 months to get addicted. I used nicorette gum and I got addicted to that. Eventually, the gum did help. I was driving one day from Atlanta to my home and had no gum. I said "God, I am not going to buy more gum, please help me." Well, I never bought more.

Mrs. Morgan; I don't use the penpal thing. My husband asked me not to and I am going to abide in what he says. I know I need to quit, and I know how, I just don't have the will power. My spirit is strong but the flesh sure is weak.
---Rebecca_D on 8/4/06

Yes, Rebecca, penpal her... because exactly what you need is another person to tell you smoking is bad. (kidding)

I feel you on this one... I am currently struggling to quit. For people that dont smoke, my analogy for the pain of quitting would be that it is like having a best friend die. There is an overwhelming feeling like something is missing which causes anxiety and many other issues. You almost dont know what to do with yourself.
---tofurabby on 8/4/06

Rebecca D, can you penpal me at: narke7385 about "smoking" I would like to talk to you privately about this, okay. I hope to hear from you soon! God Bless.

Whether a Christian is pridefully condemning or lovingly rebuking another Christian, only he/she and the Lord knows; it's all a matter of one's heart and attitude. Sometimes it's very obvious to everyone, other times it is well masked. On the part of the recipient however, God can use even a prideful condemnation from another Christian to alert the recipient to possible errors in his/her life; just because the words were issued by man does not mean that God did not prompt them.

We can't rescue anyone from hell. However I Personally do not know any true follower of Christ that would condemn anyone. Jn. 3:17 "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved" Who is he that condemns? Is it Christ? No. Christ died for us & has risen again to sit at the right hand of the Father to intercede on our behalf. Satan is the accuser of the brethren, any condemnation or accusation is influenced by him. Give him no place.

Donna; ever since my husband and I got married, some people have condemned us for getting married because we were both divorced, while they to got a divorced in their past. And alot of people try and condemn me for smoking. I know I need to quit, and it isn't good for me to smoke, but I don't let man condemn me of anything, that's God's job.
---Rebecca_D on 7/25/06

Donna, unfortunately Christians can be condemning when they are judgmental. I know I've been guilty of it. Conviction is not the same and is something that The HS does, often through Christians.
---christina on 7/25/06

sam, do Christians really condemn? That's a strong word. Do you mean "convict?" Just because you may see on these blogs people telling others they are not speaking the truth, we aren't condemning that person to hell, we're just telling them what they're saying isn't the truth. Also, Jonah, Jeremiah, Haggi, John the Baptist, and other prophets were anointed to teach the truth, that the people were going to go to hell if they didn't repent.
---Donna9759 on 7/25/06

Some churches have their own set of rules and if you don't abide by them, then they damned them to hell. When we look at a sinner, we see the sin, we don't look further and see that there is still hope for that sinner. We are all guilty I believe. So we all need (or try) to look inside their heart and see hope instead of their sin.

How can one save someone from hell, when it seems most don't even know how to save themself? Like Israel, many refuse the simple of God and try and do their own thing.
---geraa7578 on 7/24/06

I'm with you on that one Sam. Judgement isn't our responsibility, rescuing is.
