God gave breath into man & man has a living soul, animals do Not.
The crowd followed Jesus out to a desert place
& Jesus said to have them sit down in the green grass. Out in the desert, where did the green grass come from?, God spoke it into existance just for that reason time & place. Again God spoke, it's the very same with the horses that will be rode out from heaven for battle. The blood will be up to that horses bridle, that horse Jesus will be riding. Jesus has them there only for that certain reason & time.

I find it interesting that God created animals for man's companionship even before he created a wife for him. Also, several times, when God blessed mankind, He blessed the animals and when He cursed Mankind, he cursed the animals too. The relationship between humans and animals (pets or even our fascination with the wild) is quite interesting. It's no wonder we're so sentimental about the ones we allow into our homes. Seems we're wired to have some sort of attachment to the ones in our care especially.

Bruce, if there are a lot of Baptists in heaven, you can be pretty sure that there will also be chickens! Fried ones of course!

Good point. Never thought of that...

I know many people who think more of their pets than they do their own families. Do you feel this could be a sin? Others are limited in when they can leave their homes and for how long by how it will affect their pets. Ridiculous!!!! I know some will be offended, but I think it is plain silly to be so sentimental about animals that we would want them to be in Heavan as our beloved sidekicks! I want Jesus as my best friend, now and for eternity!

There are angels and serephim and cheribum etc. in Heaven but they did not need to be born on earth so they could end up in Heaven. Same for animals. Just because there are animals mentioned as being in Heaven is no reason to assume they ended up in Heaven by way of earth any more than the other Heavenly beings.

No it doesn't, Helen. It says "Who knows...?" The verse you reference is not that definitive about this issue. It leaves this question unanswered. Here's another point to ponder. How could the "...lion lie down with the lamb," if neither were in Heaven. I'm not 100% sure, but I think there will be animals there. Why not?

The Book of Ecclesiastes says that the spirit of animals goes down into the dust. Ecclesiastes 3:21 "...and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?" I do wish that weren't so, because I would dearly love my little puppy and one of my cats with me in heaven, but that is what God's Word says.

Notice I said: That is not to say there will not be animals in heaven, but not by way of rapture or the grave."
I can only speculate that if God wants animals around Him He would simply create them. After all, someday there will be a new heaven and a new earth (Rev 21:1) so God is not limited to working with existing creation.

I think God created animals mostly for the benefit of people. In their roles in the wild they keep a "balance" so that no specie overpopulates. They have been food, and for centuries have helped men at work. Pets have taught kids about reproduction and responsibility, provided comfort, companionship and unconditional love. God's Word uses them to illustrate many things. We think that we will miss them in Heaven, but WE not be the same THERE. We will need nothing but Jesus.

There are horses in heaven, Re19:11
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

In the bible Jesus said that the child will lay down with the lion. Animals will be in heaven. I believe they all will go. Animals dont have free will like we do. They're not capable of sin, therefore do no evil. God created them with a soul, and to keep Adam company. God saved them in the Ark also, and not just the ones that were edible. Therefore he wanted them to survive.

Bruce, I totally agree with you BUT..lol. Doesn't Jesus come out of the sky riding on a white horse? I thought I read in Revelation, "He who sits on a white horse." Where did that horse come from? I'm sure Jesus could call it into being so maybe he called it from earth? Would like your opinion...thank you.

Eccl 3:21 "Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?"
Only God knows for sure...

Check out this blog:
And this one:
People sentimentalize the issue but there is no scriptural basis to claim that animals go to heaven. That is not to say there will not be animals in heaven, but not by way of rapture or the grave.

Anyone who has said they will be will not answer to the following questions.
Which ones? What is the criteria for them to go to heaven? Good ones only? What is "good" for an animal? Pets? Just the cute ones? What aobut bugs, rodents, lizards and snakes? People have some very strange pets.
Livestock? Some people are very attached to their livestock. Would that just be horses or pigs and chicknes too?
