I want to believe the following and find some biblicality in it: unsaved men go to hell and may see heaven some day. Though, only satan, the anti-christ, false prophets, and men who hate god and will not repent will face eternal agony in the lake of fire. Even if this is true, it is still very important that we evangilize. Please post your reactions to my theory.

Anyone who dies without having been cleansed of their sin by the Shed Blood of YAHUSHUA Ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ) will go directly to Hell at death.
---Gordon on 3/12/08

The bible says to Hell. Who am I to argue that point? The Lake of Fire. This is why we as Christians are striving to make it in. We don't just want to escape Hell fire, we want to learn to love and obey God, as well. But Hellfire is a great motivator to move us towards our goal of Heaven. I don't need to know the why's. That's enough for me.
---Robyn on 3/11/08

Dead non-Christians will first go to a holding place called Hades, where they will wait for God's judgement day. After Judgement day, they will go to Hell for ALL eternaty.
---Leslie on 2/13/08

Are you sitting under Jezebel?

We're not here to preach against sin, we're here to lift up Jesus.
None of that conviction preaching from this pulpit - we're here to lift the fear and depression off people.
None of that "Hard Legalistic Gospel Without Love".
We preach against sin like cowards, taking it all back in the same message.

False love and crocodile tears.
---Cindy on 2/13/08

Cos.

The doctrine of Jesus Christ.
"If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing...

The preaching of Christ's doctrine will bless, strengthen and encourage you, but it will also convict you so deeply you cannot sit under it and still cling to secret lusts or lies.
---Cindy on 2/13/08

The false love doctrine. Positively affirming that God is love, I am loved, I am one with the world and all is well with the world.
---Cindy on 2/13/08

"Cos".

Being Seduced by False Doctrine". Revelation 2:18-29.
Jesus Christ, Himself warned the church against the doctrine of Jezebel. "You permit that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat the things sacrificed unto idols" (Revelation 2:20). Jezebel is a synonym for a false teacher. She represents false doctrines.
---Cindy on 2/13/08

There is something very dangerous going on, something so seductive that Christ warns He will make them an example to all the churches. Certain members of the church are selling out. Their good works, charity, service, faith and patience are overshadowed by a seduction of false doctrine. They are under the spell of a false teaching, a teaching that came disguised as the true Word but was in fact Jezebel and evil.

---Cindy on 2/13/08

Cos.

In no uncertain terms, it is dangerous to sit under the wrong teaching. False doctrine will take you down with lusts and sins of the flesh. False preachers and teachers are misleading Christians, singing in churches enslaved by false doctrine. Thousands are sitting under teachers who are pouring out the doctrine of demons - and they come away saying, "Wasn't that wonderful"?
---Cindy on 2/13/08

I think rays right any one who says non christians go to hell is wrong if your a good person you go to heaven come on if a christian killed 6 people then saw jesus and said i accept u in my life hes gonna go to heaven!
---adam on 10/27/07

they will go before Jesus for judgment. They stand before God without the blood of Christ as protection

Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law

pray that they called out to Christ at sometime in their lives and pray for His mercy.

Have you? If you cry out to God and come to him with an open heart wanting to know Him - He will answer.
Be Blessed.

Helen ... Ecumenism as in the UK is to do with Christian denominations working together, but recogniosing they have detail differences, which are insignificant bweside the thing that unites them.
Thus denomonations that don't use the terms "born-again" or "spirit-filled" still understand that they all love the Lord Jesus and follow His commandments.
We don't try to unify under one church group.
And we don't try to unify with Buddhists or Muslims.

What is his heaven?

Frank Cos - (.."all faiths can join together...). Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and nobody goes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6). What you state is Eucumenism, which is a dangerous push to unite all faiths --- so we would have RCC, Buddhists, Islam, Born-again Christians etc. all together under one very unhappy banner of "believe whatever you want and you will still go to heaven". That is a lie and those perpetrating it will answer to God for it.
---Helen_5378 on 8/10/06

I dislike being so blunt, but everyone that dies is dead. Christians will be raised at the first resurrection. Everyone else the second resurrection. Every one including the prophets, the 'good' people, the bad people, you, me, and every person from the beginning of time to the upcoming end will be resurrected and judged. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. Revelation 20:4 on.

Thanks for the considerate feedback. We may not agree on everything, but I believe we are both peace-seeking individuals, as I suspect many others on this blog are as well. Your faith is terrific. I hope that someday all faiths can join together in the house of the lord, and end the needless bickering among the faithful.

[cont] And this in short is the hope that Christians cling to. But you don't have to take my word for it. Search scriptures and ask God in prayer to reveal the truth to you. I hope you will find what you are looking for.

[cont]

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" (Rom 3:10)

"For the wages of sin is death; ..." (Rom 6:23)

But God has provided a way out for us, as Rom 6:23 continues

"... but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
---Benny on 8/9/06

Frank, I can tell from reading your blogs you are a peace-loving person who seeks God and that is certainly a good thing. But one of the great deceptions of the world is that being "good" is a sufficient condition to bridge the chasm of our separation from God. God is perfect and cannot tolerate sin but we are imperfect and sinful. And no matter how hard we try we can never be good enough for God.

You are so right. God will judge those that were not born again. And he will decide who gets into heaven (be they jew, hindu, muslim, buddhist, atheist, whatever). He will also judge if the born-again christian gets in as well. Right on!

Exodus 34:14
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Ajahn - ("There are many paths to enlightenment - to god"). There is only one way to God the Father and that is through His Son Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
---Helen_5378 on 8/1/06

Ajahn - You must have your sins washed away by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus sacrificed Himself for sin on the Cross then rose from the dead three days later so that you can have eternal life in Him. If a person does not have their sins forgiven by Jesus Christ then he will not go to heaven.
---Helen_5378 on 8/1/06

Karen -

God works in many mysterious ways. Neither you nor I understand them all. Neither you nor I can assert such a thing. The truth is within all of us.

may God bless you and may you find peace
---Ajahn on 8/1/06

Ajahn, enlightment comes through many ways, but that is after one is born of the Spirit. It cannot happen before, because a lost person is blind to the things of God. He cannot spiritually discern the Word of God. Once he is saved, God opens his eyes so he can see. His ears so he can hear and his heart so he can understand God's word. Following Buddhist Scriptures takes you right to hell. Don't go there, its a very bad place.

How do we know they don't pray a prayer minutes before they die? How do we know their heart and maybe they've been praying to Jesus silently, asking to Know Him, should God send a person such as this to hell? We don't a person's heart, only God does. Thank God He judges with righteous judgement.

We are in agreement. I have faith in God.

---Ajahn on 8/1/06

helen ... I'm not suggesting that "Faith without works is dead" leads us to do works because we feel we have to now we are saved. I meant that because we are saved, we just want to help others and do "good works". Loving God includes loving our neighbours. Our neighbours are not the people who live next door, but the poor and needy, and the oppressed, even if their culture and way of life is far away from ours. Remember the Samaritan was from a foreign and despised tribe.

Great statement Mike, and how true it is that it will be as God says. I know myself that Mother Theresa did great things, many of which we will never do in our life time. Yet God is the determinator of our faith. I have read what Helen has written and it is true, and have read what others say like Alan and that is true too. Yet it is God in the end that will deal with us as to what was really in our hearts. Good works never saved anyone, but they sure count for something when we are saved.
---karen on 8/1/06

Helen and Mike are correct in that no amount of good works will get us into heaven, and yes, it is sad that so many are/will be lost. Some of the "best" people (by appearances) that I know don't believe in Jesus. It all comes down to the gospel, believing in Christs' atonement for our sin on the cross and His resurrection. Nothing else matters.
---christina on 8/1/06

How I would dearly love to be able to believe that every single person who has ever lived is saved and heaven bound. That is just not Scriptural. It is however one of the devil's most subtle tricks to try and get us to stop preaching the Gospel.
---Helen_5378 on 8/1/06

Alan 8869of UK - I was just reading over your blog about m/Theresa's works and why she did them. You know, she is by far not the only RC nun to do such works ... there are specific orders of nuns that do works their whole lives thinking that those works will gain them entry to heaven. How horribly heart-breaking and sad, and even more so if we who know the truth of salvation do not tell them the truth even though it hits them right where it hurts. Jesus did not hold back, why should we?

All non-Christians will stand the judgement. All good samaritans, All philanthropics, All fire fighters, All physicians, All pure of heart, All animal lovers, All... get the picture. It is NOT about works, it is about believing in God and following His path. God will choose who is in His family and who is not. Be it Jew, Gentile, Methodist, Catholic, or Bible toter, ALL who do not enter by the blood of Jesus will stand before God on His terms, not ours. Pretty simple to me.
---mikefl on 7/31/06

Alan 8869of UK - I sure hope that you are right & then we'll get to see her. It would be the saddest thing ever if she didn't go to heaven, but it's possible. Man is naturally full of pride and a lot of people love works. I am sure there will be plenty of people that would be expected to be in heaven because of works, but they will not be there because they did not have their sins washed away by the Blood of Jesus. It is the simplicity of salvation that man finds hard to accept.

Amen Exzucah. Truth can be a hard pill to swallow, but it is what gives life.
---christina on 7/31/06

No Helen I have no trouble with the truth being told.
But have yuo ever wondered WHY Mother Teresa should undertake those works at such cost to herself?
Perhaps she did not have to have it pointed out to her that "Faith without works is dead" Perhaps it just came naturally out of her love of the Lord.
---alan8869_of_UK on 7/31/06

2/... I am not saying if she did or did not go to heaven because only God knows that... and I have no way of knowing. You are either saved by the Blood of Jesus or you are not saved and headed straight for hell. Do you have a problem with the truth being told I wonder? We have to love people, but true love will also tell them the truth even if it is hard for them to handle.
---Helen_5378 on 7/31/06

Alan8869ofUK - What I meant was that if mother Theresa was not born-again (i.e. confessed Jesus as Lord) then she did not go to heaven, but to hell. The same applies for everyone who does not receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Works do not get anyone into heaven and very sadly the whole focus of her life and the memories I have of her is of her so-called "wonderful" works in Calcutta. (continued...)

There is a more effective way to kill, it is called false doctrine, the way of balaam, to get people out of the will of God so they will be judged by the law and condemned, to not tell them the truth, your so called love doctrine will love them to death. Those preaching such doctrines of jezebel will be thown in to a bed of affliction with her and the offspring of their doctrine will be killed with death. Telling the truth will save people that is true love.
---Exzucuh on 7/30/06

3/... Frank, just take a look at the Gospels and how Jesus spoke to the religious leaders of His day. Sure doesn't sound like He was loving them too much. Jesus really socked it to them -- I mean "whitewashed tombs full of dead men's bones"!! Frank you are in error with your gospel of "love". We are to love everybody yes, but we are also to hate the sin and point out error. Scripture clearly teaches that we are to "speak the truth in love".
---Helen_5378 on 7/29/06

2/... Frank if you feel perfectly comfortable in tolerating the lies of false teachings and loving people that are headed for hell without telling them the truth, well then just go right ahead. It is frightening to think of how many souls will end up in hell just because someone who knew the truth did not bother to tell them, and that in the name of "love". Biblical love will tell people the truth, no matter what the cost.
---Helen_5378 on 7/29/06

Frank Cos - ("It is hateful to say that people who don't believe your beliefs are doomed"). Do you realise you are judging me by saying that about me. Jesus Himself says "he who does not believe is condemned already" (John 3:18). Stating a fact from Scripture is not judging. God is the Judge, not me. However, it is up to me to point out error to those in error -- if I don't I will have their blood on my hands. I say again - I will not love people into hell.

I'll pray for all of you who judge others who don't share your beliefs. It is this thinking that lead Christians to kill in the Crusades (or bomb abortion centers), just as we are seeing the muslim extremists doing via terrorism today. All of it is wrong. And you know its wrong. Its hateful to say that people who don't believe your beliefs are doomed (and its really isn't your right to judge anyway). Quoting scripture to support a hateful belief IS hateful.

FrankCos - The only way to have "spirituality" that is worth anything at all is to be born-again. One becomes born-again upon faith in Jesus Christ and His Sacrifice of Himself on the Cross for your sins. Sin cannot stand in the presence of God -- it has to be washed away from the person with the Blood of Jesus, then and only then can a person go to heaven. TEACH TRUTH.

So from your comments, I assume you have read the bible in its original language. If not, basing such judgements on the literal is dangerous. Remember, the bible says judge not, lest you be judged. According to your "literal" beliefs by condeming Ghandi and Mother Theresa and presumably others, you too are now condemned. Of course, I don't belief that...I believe Jesus taught love.

Your example says nothing of the need to be a Christian to go to heaven, it speaks of spiritiuality, which Ghandi certainly had (as did Mother Theresa who someone below dared to say is not good enough for heaven). Jesus taught love. I don't see much of that in these posts...I see people who care more about trying to be "right" than righteous (and loving)

Frank-(Will all non-christians go to hell?) No, and not all christians will go to heaven..

PART ONE:
Frank,
Jesus' teachings?

In response to a mans question about how one may go to heaven. Jesus said
John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again (litteraly, born from above a spiritual re-birth), he cannot see the kingdom of God."
---Bruce5656 on 7/28/06

PART TWO:
He later elaborated:
John 3:13-18, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
---Bruce5656 on 7/28/06

PART THREE:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

PART FOUR:
Jesus said:
John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
---Bruce5656 on 7/28/06

PART FIVE:
Peter was inspired to say:
Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name (than the name of Jesus) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

Paul said he had no interest in any other philosophy or system of belief except the story of the crucified Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2, "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified."
---Bruce5656 on 7/28/06

Frank cos - "Teach love" is well & good but we must teach people the truth about God's judgment too. Nobody goes to heaven on good works. The only way to heaven is faith in Jesus' finished work on the Cross as full payment for sin. You think that Gandhi couldn't go to hell, well what about Mother Theresa -- she was full of good works but to my knowledge did not confess Jesus as Lord. Good people will go to hell simply because they think they are too good to be saved.
