Old Creation Versus The New
How many out there can see the principle of the two creations? The old is sinful, unholy, an enemy of God, and the New Creation is HOLY, SINLESS, and born of GOD. The two are as different as heaven and hell and the Old creation can't corrupt the New Creation.

As the old creation, we were a condemned building not fit for habitation and fit for destruction. As the new creation, we are a mansion worthy of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

John3:5 "..Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom"
Without the Holy Spirit you can not Keep His Commandments and do that which is pleasing to Him. He took the penalty for us and expects that we will fight the good fight and strive toward the perfection that He gave us as an example.
1Jn2:1 "these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous"

I put off the old man of the Flesh, I don't do the things as I did in my youth or in the days of my Ignorance anymore...
I am content with life and wait patiently for my Brother.

The whole essence of why Christ suffered and died was to give us "new" life. When I got saved, the old life died and my new life was born The old life is dead spiritually but in the flesh it is the battle we face everyday.

Debbie-Your question is very provocative. Old and new are constant themes throughout the bible. Sewing a patch of new unshrunken cloth onto an old garment. Putting new wine into old wineskins. THe old covenant (Law) a ministry of death on stone tablets compared to the Glorious new covenant. A new heaven and a new earth. The principal of two creations abounds in the bible.

God bless you all! We under-estimate God's saving grace and His power and desire to keep us inspite of ourselves.

Deb you are right on. It is too long to quote here but for some real insight to what you say, I suggest Romans Ch 6, 7, & 8. My, Paul really says it there... We are in the flesh battling daily for our Holy Spirit to prevail. Think of it though, if we can back slide once truly saved, it would mean God has not kept His part of the promise. HE HAS!

Debbie's description of the same person having two sides to their nature would seem to be right on target. All people who are saved have to come to the realization, a realization that is true. If they are not free of committing sin. They also realize that they have a new side to their nature which is spiritual(sinless) therefore their nature has two sides good and bad.

#2 We all know that we sin after we are born again. The only way to reconcile these two facts is to realize we have two sides to our nature: a pure and holy one created by God after our new birth and a unholy sinful one created at our natural birth that was passed down since Adam. The old one does not die, but we are to reckon it dead daily.

#1 I by no means want to offend anyone, but I would ask that all would seek after this revelation. So many dear saints are under a false impression that we can lose our salvation. If you can grasp the doctinal principle of the two creations, you will fully understand that it is impossible to lose your salvation. It also brings a full understanding to the Scripture that tells us that when we are in Christ we are a new creation, unable to sin.
