#1 Just as the natural body needs food to grow, so it is in the spiritual. Our spirit food is the Word of God. The more time you spend in the Word of God, rightly dividing the Word, the more you will grow. The other thing that will make you grow is to yield yourself to God; yield your will and every part ofyour being to His will.

As said already, spend time with him, he is the best friend you will ever have & the more time you spend with someone, the more like them you become. The Christian walk isn't all serious & sombre, but freeing, liberating & very meaningful to every area of life.

How to grow in Christ? Pray, Pray, Pray. Spend lots of time with Jesus. Studying is good but it is no substitute for great time with God. And if you plan on serving Him greatly. You better do these things or the Devil will have you for breakfast, lunch, And dinner. Yes.

By reading in the word daily. By dying out to sin daily, and renew your mind. Just talk with Jesus everyday about everything.

Recently I was asked this very question by a new convert. I want to grow more in Christ. How can I do that?
My answer was this; go to God in prayer and clearly, plainly, consciously surrender yourself to his care. Clearly enunciate what you believe to God the Father and asked Him to remove from you and your mind and your beliefs what is not pleasing to Him. Asking him to search your heart, after you have told him what is in your heart. You can expect action from the Lord.

#2 Search out "gracegod", you will be blessed. Also I have a blog on christians unite, "gospel of grace" . I can get you all the resource material you want. The Bible School offers free correspondence courses as well as commetaries on most of the books of the Bible; they also offer many topical studies all free of charge although they do take donations.

#1 Ryan, My husband and I graduated from a non-denominational bible school in 2003. We pastor a meeting where the primary focus is the Word of God. We emphasize God's grace. Our foundation Scripture is Acts 20:32. We encourage everyone to grow up in the Lord. We dig deep in the Word of God in order that we can enlighten our sheep by feeding them the MEAT of the Word.

Debbie-I find all the statements you have made to be profound, insightful and spiritual. Have these teachings been revealed to you by the Holy Spirit and study in God's Holy Word? Do you have resources (i.e. books, website, fellow brothers and sisters) that you refer to. If there are any books or other such print material can you let me know what they are, please? Is there a way I may contact you directly?

#2 In order to grow up in Christ, He has to have all of you, He has to have total control of your thoughts, desires, and actions. If you desire to grow up in Christ, you will because that is Christ's will for you. Just yield to Him and get into the Word. If you are not filled with the Spirit,be filled!
