God has not called Christians to judge the world, only each other. (1 Cor 5:12-13). Jesus said: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (Jn 14:27)

No, especailly given the death toll it just creates brokenhearts, brokenhomes, bitterness and hatred.

An eye for an eye and the world would soon be blind.

There will never be peace on this earth. the US needs to stay out of this war. It isn't our war. By the US helping whomever for whatever reasons it is only making more enemies against the US. The only peace there is and will ever be in in Jesus Christ.

There will be no peace for Israel till the return of Christ. Things are only going to get worse over there.

The only way to achieve true, complete peace in the Middle East or anywhere else is for Jesus Christ to return and establish His kingdom. The only hope Israel has is to respond in the manner they have been, as ALL Arab nations seek their destruction.

Peace was achieved by using the first nucleur bomb.

Is it possible to make peace with people who are bombing your home? Is it possible to ride the fence and be blessed? This is a time when people must choose. I think Bush and Rice have made the best choice. God says that He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.

Let me turn the question around. Will Israel NOT responding to attacks from Hezbollah make for peace? Maybe Bush and Condi Rice are applying what we have learned about Hezbollah. They have killed more Americans in terrorist attacks than any group other than al Quaida. After each attack we did nothing. Did that cause Hezbollah to "negotiate" or want peace? Even the Saudis and Egyptians are against them.We absolutely know they are acting as proxies for Iran.Should they go unchallenged?

The purpose of this war is not peace. This war is a flare up of 2000 year old feud between Abraham's Sons. The Scriptures say that the promise goes with Isaac(the Jews) therefore Scripture shows me that I'm to support Israel. I do so wholeheartedly, with full knowledge of the final outcome. Also a two state policy(Israel and Palestine) is from the pit of hell. All who part Israel's lands will be crushed. So says the Bible.
