US In Bible Prophecy

There have been many prophecies given of end time events and the league of nations that will be formed. What role do you see the US playing in the end time events? There seems to be no reference to the US in prophecy. Will the US play any part at all?

to answer this question you have to look into history as you read revelations. I have certain beliefs on this subject. america will play a key pivotal role in the end times. I recomend listening to the SDA on this one they have a very compelling arguement. At first you will be leary about what they are saying but it makes perfect sense. I know out of all the churches i studied with they knew more and it flowed with all of the bible not just pieces here and there.

Make no mistakes about it===The Bible covers everything, including the U.S. OF AMerica. God is all knowing, He didn't forget about this country. Good day!

**This iron will mix with the clay of Islam in the feet and toes of the image.**

You're on the right track about the significance of Islam.

**Israel is in end time prophecy so it stands to reason the US will be involved.**

That present patch of real estate in the Middle East called Israel is NOT the true Israel of God, but is ANTI-Israel.

Just as the true Israel produced the true Christ, what will Anti-Israel produce?

I believe the U. S. is mentioned in bible prophecy, howbeit indirectly. I have a 2007 copyright book out called Prophecy Code - A New Revelation for the Last Days. In my book I state that the legs of iron from king Nebuchadnezzer's image represents democracy, and that each leg depicts the Eastern and Western hemispheres led by the U. S. and China. This iron will mix with the clay of Islam in the feet and toes of the image.

The US has always been a supporter of Israel...Israel is in end time prophecy so it stands to reason the US will be involved...There is a lot of great things happening in the US to bring more people to Christ. The Bible stated those who oppose Israel is against God...so I think that the US plays a huge role in the end times..By the way..maybe alot has been left behind in the pulpit..but as I live in Australia now..I see and hear more about home(US) and the movement of God than when I lived there.

Thanks, John. Thanks for the encouraging word from outside the US. I often pray for America as Abraham did for Sodom. Your mention of Sodom and Gamorah sounds a positive note of hope. Nobody can call us a righteous nation. But this is a country where those who love God are not (yet) silenced by persecution or legislation. We, as other nations, will finally dissolve into the global government of the last days, but while we still have a voice, we must use it!
God bless you and God bless Canada!

I don't buy into that the US. has turned it's back on God and will be of no significance. I see many believers and many great works of the Lord in your country. Rev. Herb. God would have spared Sodom and Gomorah for 10 righteous people. I trust there are more than that right in your own family.

**I've heard this represents England (lion) and the United States (eagle). The eagles wings break away from the lion. Could this be mention of the United States as the eagle?**

There have been a lot of world powers using an eagle as its symbol: the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire (the double-headed eagle standing for the union of 2 natures in Christ), the Russian Empire, the German empire, et al.

Have a book on prophecy. Talks about a shift in political power ... November elections aren't too far away. Many people are angry with the Bush administration and will probably not vote Republican ... pray for our country. Help me here, in Daniel when talking about the lion with eagles wings ... I've heard this represents England (lion) and the United States (eagle). The eagles wings break away from the lion. Could this be mention of the United States as the eagle?

I think too much information maketh the brain short circut. With all the things going on in the world today and the speed with which it gets to us ,sometimes I think as humans we have done it to ourselves,no news is good news.what you don,t know can,t hurt you.now before someone flips out , I,am not talking about knowing jesus.I,am talking about the world, and it,s ways.I don,t believe we are wired for the mess that exists in our world today, too much to quick.

On a related topic, is there any need in pointing out that the European Union has 25 member nations, many of which were NEVER within the old Roman Empire.

There was a book I read in 79-80 called THE UNHOLY WAR by Marius Barr that said the Fourth Beast of Daniel was NOT a "revived Roman Empire," but a revived Islamic confederacy.

Think about it.

I totally agree with Herb. A nation that turns it's back on God is in a world of trouble. And the US is doing just that. We let many things behind the pulpit, and very few takes a stand. God said in his word that he was sick up to his nostrils of the stinch on this earth (sin).

I read a book about this several months back - I don't remember the title or author. The author's opinion was that the US was not present in the end times prophecies because it was no more - either as a power to be reckoned with or because it did not exist at all. America in ruins due to government mismanagement or blown off the planet by one of the countries our government has alienated? Take your pick. One of the two (or both) is coming!

Rev Herb, I do blieve you're right.

If the Bible does not say anything about it, why speculate and construct extra-Biblical theories? It is of no profit for walking closer to God nor for bringing others to Christ.

Discussing this question I have found that many believe that the reason for this nation and its greatness is to uphold Israel. However sometime near the Battle of Armageddon scripture says that all nations will be against Israel. All includes the United States, therefore at some time the future we will pull away from Israel.

Would it be that the US wont play any role because by then the US would have been long overtaken as a superpower, by the EU as well as China.....may be..
---pkay on 8/6/06

My theory is that this great nation will be reduced to nothing important in the end time. This nation was founded on the principals of the bible, but now we want nothing to do with God. This nation will fall and fall hard. It has turned it's back on God and God will turn his back on US or us. Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed for the same thing the US is embracing.
