Doubting My Faith In God

We try to lead a good life, but I'm starting to have doubts about my faith. My husband's ex was unfaithful and then left him 12 years ago. Last week she lied again in court. Nothing happens to her. Yet, my husband was unjustly crusified by the legal system. I'm beginning to doubt my faith in God.

**Last week she lied again in court. **
Do you have hard evidence that she perjured herself?
I don't mean simply having a different view of whatever issue.

Don't doubt your faith in God. Do the exact opposite.(Mark 11:22) Have the faith of God. Start speaking what the Word says regardless of your situation. ITimothy 6:12
Situations are subject to change, but God's word won't. So fight the good fight of faith by speaking the Word like Jesus did in Luke 4.

God is not unjustly crucifying your husband, but the unjust legal system with his ex wife are the persecuters. Persecution as a Christian and for living the righteous life is the mark of God. If we are no longer hated by the ungodly, then be concerned. "Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." II Timothy 3:12. Please read Matthew 5:10-12, and John 15:18-20.

Claire, God gives us a free will to chose what we do. In Deuteronomy He says, "Today I set before you life and death, choose life." Some folks do not choose life. Some follow satan, some follow Jesus. Sounds like this is what's happening to your husband's ex-wife. Bind that lying spirit and loose the Holy Spirit of conviction over her..let the Holy Spirit convict her of her sins, He will do it if you pray and ask Him to.

Clair,
Read Psalms Chapter 37.

God never promised us that it would be easy. He has told us that we would be persucuated and go through trials, but he promised us that he would always be by our side. Don't think his ex won't see hard times, because the bible says we shall reap what we sow. Her judgement is coming. Instead of doubting God during your troubles, you need to praise him. Because it takes faith to move the hand of God.

Claire, I am currently going through the same thing with my husbands ex. She keeps taking him to court and not only do we lose a days work, but she lies and turns on the water works and the judge feels sorry for her. My husband and I just pray and ask God to handle the situation, and we know that if she ever gets to heaven she will have to answer for all of her lies. We place our Faith in God, and Trust He will protect us.

Your question is as old as sin and Jesus is the only answer. Job had the same feelings, but said I will not let go my faith--See chapters 21, 13:15-22, 19:25-27. David likewise in Psalm 73 describes his feelings and God's revelation to him, and his faith in God. Faith comes by truly hearing the Word.

Claire, I'm sure this is difficult for you.You say that you try to live a good life, and I wonder if your trust has been more in your living a good life or in God himself. Are you saved? Look to Jesus, and remember that He works ALL things together for the good...Bless you

Claire, things you described happens to a lot of people. My nephew is going thru something similar. She won't pay bills in my nephews name that she made behind his back. His credit is ruined because of her. He is suffering so much..depression and the whole bit.

Yeah Rickey! Stand firm, Claire. God's justice is sweet, especially when you do His will & do not harm the evildoers. Be like the persistent widow and ask God to bless you and give you justice against your adversary every day...and believe that it will happen. He will. Read about her in Luke 18:1-6. It helps me when I lose heart. And don't let satan steal your joy! God inhabits the praises of His people. (Psalm 22:3 kjv)Pray blessings on your enemies and ask God to help you mean it. Confess it all to Him.

No don't doubt. Think of ALL Christ went through, how about Joseph how he was wronged by family and more, look at Job. Satan uses many things to shake our faith but he is a lier. Rememer Romans 8:28 All things work to good to them that love the Lord. James 1:2-4.
