How To Accept Jesus At 3

My 3 year old asked me last night how to get Jesus to live in her heart. We said a quick prayer to God, but after she said she did not feel Jesus. How can I explain this to her?

She is interested, and that is a very, very, very, good sign. Her salvation may not had taken ahold at that particular time, [my opinion]. So, anyways, leave it to God. My own heart is rejoicing for her. Perhaps later you might approach this all important issue with this little girl again.>>> Is her parents born-again? [saved]

Mary, find someone to lay hands on her who has the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Explain to her that we don't see Jesus because He is in Heaven, but He sees us ALL the time. Tell her Jesus sent His friend, the Holy Spirit to help us every day. Teach her to pray. Teach her the word. I did my nephew and today he repeats it back to his mother and father. Glory be to God.

The scriptures have shown that many that were mightily used of God have had his hand on them from their birth.
If she is such you have truly been blessed as a parent.

Mary::All children are gifts of God Your child in asking, is special. she has a need & an enquiring mind. The answer is when you want something Precious you must seek & when you find it you will experience the joy of God in you this is when you must hold on tight & fight to keep him there.Be Good God will come to you.

Your 3 year old is going the right way, but she is too young to understand I believe. Talk to her every day and you will be able to know when she understands what you are talking about.

Maam praise The Lord your child is asking this glorious question, here is the answer for her to have The Lord live in her heart. Jesus is Spirit this applies to everyone, we must understand what The Spirit is saying, so before The Lord will sit with her, you need to teach her about The Lord, only simple teachings like angels and The Lord, because children have vivid minds and you do not want to install fear, when she understands they will become one.

I would tell her that's OK. Jesus will help her feel him when she's ready to feel him. You are probably far more concerned about this than she. Praise God that she is asking questions and responding to what she understands for now. Keep praying that she will respond fully when she is old enough to grasp commitment. God honors the simplest of prayers.

** Jack:
To say we must "understand" in order for God to work in our hearts is to limit God--and it's the heresy of gnosticism, besides.
***However other than John having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit while still in the womb,
****** what are other examples in the bible of God giving His Holy Spirit to *** infants, young children or those still in the womb?**

Samuel immediately comes to mind.

Would you say the Holy Spirit was with Jesus from the womb? I would.

a person years ago who was about twelve was asked in a sunday school how he felt after baptism and he said he did not feel any different.if a child were to get the spirit like at many church revivals then would she seem to be possesed if she were to pass out, or have convulsed ?it appears that her spirit is normal in her ,in her thoughts ,not her emotions.

The occurance of the Holy Spirit coming to children is very rare, is it not? Jesus, is of course exempt since He was concieved of the Holy Spirit as opposed to being conceived in the flesh, than receiving the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Jack, you say:
To say we must "understand" in order for God to work in our hearts is to limit God--and it's the heresy of gnosticism, besides.
I agree. However other than John having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit while still in the womb, and Samson bein chosen as a Nazerite while still in the womb, what are other examples in the bible of God giving His Holy Spirit to dwell with or "come mightly upon" infants, young children or those still in the womb?

First of all we must get the relationship correct. We do not accept Jesus. Jesus accepts us as His disciples. A three year old should be taught by example. You must BE Salt & Light to her. Answer all of her questions with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Raise her in the Spirit. She is too young to understand the concepts of sin, salvation, repentance, blood of the lamb, etc. Be her example and if the Father grants it she will know the Son.

**she said she did not feel Jesus.**
Explain as well as you can to a 3 year old that we don't go by feelings, but by Christ's promise.
Christ never said we would "feel Him." He DID say that He would NEVER turn away anyone who came to Him.
