pleading the blood is nothing but a magical incantation.i believe it has it's origins recently i mean ,from the word/faith movement which is pure sorcery!blood pleaders r blaspheming the infinately holy sacrifice of christ's blood.it was shed so we can have a relationship with god free from accusation ,guilt, and a defiled conscience!to plead the blood for anything other than the basis of our justification is superstition and magic.read foxes book of martyrs and ask yourself why so many suffered such evil deaths if christs blood was some sort of magical shield to be invoked.as 4 those that say we should use the practice because it works ,why not just become a witch, satanist,or shaman?their stuff "works"to.

The shedding of HIS blood was only the beginning. The blood was for the forgiveness of sin. By HIS ressurected life we ARE saved.
We need both, the blood AND life to be saved.
---duane on 9/30/07

We ARE under the blood. It is already there. We don't have to keep pulling out the firehose and spraying it everywhere all the time by using magic words like "pleading the blood", much like priests waving censers full of burning incense at everything.

It's aready there. None of the apostles "pled the blood". They contstantly asserted authority in JESUS NAME.
---StrongAxe on 9/30/07

I love it. Put everything that you own under the Blood of Jesus. We are made righteous because of His Blood. So when Satan accuses you, tell him, "I am COVERED" It is the Blood that saves. The Blood of Jesus..
---catherine on 9/29/07

Rev 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." I have plead the Blood Of Jesus for many years and it is powerful. It has never failed. VERY POWERFUL!! Praise Jesus!:)
---splaa6685 on 9/29/07

I see this as a ridiculous superstition amongst Christians. The Bible says that the blood of Jesus purchased us from sin it was our price of deliverance. There is no scripture that tells that believers have the authority to handle the blood of Jesus. The book of revelation is a declaration of the saints that the blood was the ground upon which they could claim that they were saved and the accusations of satan were invalid because they were forgiven through the washing of the Blood.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Pleading the Blood of Jesus is scriptural. Any Christian can and when you're faced with adversity beyond what your human mind can handle, plead the Blood of Jesus against the strategies of the devil.
---Michelle on 9/29/07

I wonder what Jesus thinks of this blog, really? I mean seriously, what do yout think he thinks when he reads this?
Do you think he weeps over the fact that his bride can't focus on the really important stuff- loving him and loving people. No, instead they need to bicker over doctrine. I really hope the church repents soon of stabbing each other in the back. Isn't the world taking enough pot shots at us?
---Michelle on 9/28/07

The blood of Jesus covers all transgressions sickness, or any problem in life that we may have. It says in Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.

Before the judgment seat when God sees us He will only see the blood of His son covering our sins & transgressions.
---denna7667 on 9/10/07

Anyone that has been born again any length of time knows the blood of Jesus has healing and saving power. This is part of our authority as Christians, also. We should speak the Word of God out of our mouths. It carries more power and authority when done that way.
This is why the older women/mothers in the church taught us young christians, back in the old day. This type teaching has all but vanished today. Sorry if you cannot understand it.

Robyn:
"People perish for lack of knowledge".
You say that pleading the blood is a powerful technique. This may be so, but where can you find it in the Bible? You can't.

As such, how is it any more legitimate than other powerful (yet non-biblical) "techniques" like acupuncture, Feng Shuei, transcendental meditation, etc.?

"...You CANNOT PLEAD the Blood IF you don't HEED the Blood!"

Plead the blood of Christ??? I dont know what that means. It doesnt sound right...
---duane on 8/19/07

While attending a little Bootleg Baptist church, the Message was about Incessant SINNERS 'Pleading the Blood of Jesus' in order to gain way into Heaven after the Judgment. You CANNOT PLEAD the Blood IF you don't HEED the Blood! As a Recovering Baptist, I wrote the man a letter, and you may read of that story by searching "Justification Without Rectification".
---JoeMcDaniel on 8/18/07

The bible tells us people are perishing for a lack of knowledge. Pleading the blood of Jesus is a powerful form of protection and deliverance. Blood has a great significance in the bible. If Jesus had not shed his blood, we would all be facing a hellfire in all of eternity. There is power in the blood. We should plead the blood of Jesus over our family, jobs, finances for God's full protection over our lives.

why is there no mention in the bible of anyone actualy pleading the blood of Jesus over there belongings or there sttacks or there life. lets be honest
---Iain on 8/15/07

Mrs. Morgan, no need to reinterpret what Ernest Angley teaches. I've read it.
I can see where you're coming from now. That always helps. When you speak religious judgments against others, I will remember his words and interpretation. Don't force those beliefs on anyone else. I haven't found any Scriptures for blood control.
---Davis on 7/29/07

Matthew, run for cover if you need to. If Mrs. Morgan is your mentor, you are learning some unscriptural teachings.
Any Christian can plead the Blood of Jesus over themselves. Some may be faced with any number of dangerous situations in the future. It is one of their God-given promises as a Christian, to be able to call on the Name of Jesus, or plead...any time they need to. To tell others they must be qualified, and all of E.A.'s additional stipulations, to be able to do so, is religious error.
---Jenny on 7/29/07

I have also read E.A.'s additional stipulations and additions to the Word, about what it will take for a Christian to make it in the 'Rapture'. Have you read those, Mrs. Morgan?

(3.)I never said that Christ only needed to slit His wrist, then carry His Blood sacrifice to God the Father in Heaven (Heb.9:12), thus, I need not apologize, Davis, the death of Christ had to take place too, I've said this several times. Divine Blood = non-sin tainted/corruptible blood, that isn't hard to understand. Adam/Eve was created without sin, didn't have that curse in their blood-line before they fell. God said come let us reason together (Isaiah).
---Mrs._Morgan on 7/29/07

No, Mrs. Morgan, it's not lies. After your long absence, you will be launching your answers from the same non-denominational holiness teachings again. When we don't agree with you, and I do not, you will resort to anger, calling others liars and deceitful.
When E.A. has passed someday, it is possible that you might be able to look at some of your views with a biblical perspective.
---Jenny on 7/28/07

Until then, I can see you are completely immersed in them.
Don't put that religious bondage on others. Any Christian can plead the Blood of Jesus.
You have no more qualifications than any other Christian. All additional holiness practices do not make you more worthy to plead the Blood of Jesus.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, when the devil roars like lion, seeking someone to devour, any Christian here, can plead the Blood of Jesus against him.
---Jenny on 7/28/07

More from the holiness church that does not believe in the Trinity, but is oneness (in Jesus Name Only) pentacostal.
Very similar to your beliefs, Mrs. Morgan. Their beliefs about Pleading the Blood of Jesus are similar. You must be 'holy' in a holiness church to do so.

I quote from their doctrine, "The whole drift of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Christ, and the gospel ministry has been granted by Him.
---Jenny on 7/27/07

This fundamental holiness church doesn't believe the Holy Spirit is God, only points to Christ. That is spiritual error.

"THE GREAT WORK WHICH THE Holy Spirit is now occupied in performing, is that of directing sinners to Jesus, and inclining and enabling them to come to Him, that they may be saved, and since this is the case, I am a fellow worker with God the Holy Spirit only in so far as I tell anxious sinners TO LOOK TO JESUS ONLY, and have "redemption through His blood".
---Jenny on 7/27/07

While your church may be a splinter from other holiness churches, the language you are speaking is very similar to Oneness/fundamental holiness churches. They come in all varieties.

Their emphasis is on JESUS ONLY.
Your emphasis is on the BLOOD of JESUS.

That's not the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, separating gospels, taking one scripture and building foundations for a church - denominational or non.

Any Christian can plead the Blood of Jesus, Mima, but you know that.

More holiness church belief system...

"It is unscriptural to seek the sanctification of your heart through the Spirit before the justification of your person through Christ,"

Do the Christians out there that believe the Holy Spirit is convicting you before you come to Jesus Christ, not find that error?
---Jenny on 7/27/07

More holiness church belief system..

"It is equally unscriptural to mix Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is Jesus, and Jesus only, the object on which your anxious eyes must rest for peace with God and a change of heart. "It is Christ that died," (Rom 8:34), and the Spirit's office is to direct you to Him who said on Calvary, "It is finished," (John 19:20). It is nowhere written in Scripture, "
---Jenny on 7/27/07

"The work Of GOD'S Holy Spirit cleanseth us from sin, but it is written that "The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin," (1 John 1:7).
What you are called upon, then, more especially to do, is to receive Jesus as your Redeemer, that you may "HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE," (Eph. 1:7): for it is written, "
---Jenny on 7/27/07

"As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name," (John 1:12).

It is Jesus and Jesus only that you look to."

Holiness churches come in many forms and splinter groups, but the spiritual error is obvious to me.

More holiness teaching about the Blood similar to yours, Mrs. Morgan.

"It's salvation by the blood of Jesus alone, the sprinkling of the blood of the passover lamb on the homes of the Israelites, on the eve of their redemption from the bondage of Egypt. "The blood on the lintel secured Israel's peace." There was nothing more required. The application of "the blood of sprinkling." God did not add anything to the blood, because nothing more was necessary for salvation."

Jack - ("Helen would call it "vain repetition" because she said all repetitions are automatically vain.") -- I did not say that, you did. The only vain repetitions I have spoken of on these Blogs is that of supposed prayers. You need to read your own posts again.

For a former Baptist, you sound oh so Orthodoxy and hoity toity.
Being a Baptist was too lowbrow for you, wasn't it, Jack?
Yes, you needed something extra. More tradition, veils, sit downs, stand ups, kneel downs, bows and curtsies.

Alan of the UK:
I was quoting scripture concerning the Blood of Jesus. Now if you are the one Mrs. Morgan is refering to that worship a bloodless Jesus, then Your Jesus is not my Jesus.
Why was it necessary for Him to be born of a virgin? or even become man? What opened the way into the Holy of Holies? If you are saying that redemption can be gotten without the Shed Blood of Jesus, you are not following scripture.
What covered your sin?

IV. that we are God's children, so the Savior can keep us by His living power. You need to start listening, Morgan, and believe the truth of God. The blood is only a symbol of His death on the cross and the worship of blood instead of our Savior, is idolatry.

Did Jesus say this is a symbol of my body or this is my body? this is a symbol of my blood or this is my blood? a symbol has no power as an Idol has no power. Only what is real can do something your faith makes a symbol become real.

Where can you find that anyone "IN CHRIST" has demons? We're a New Creation in Christ. It would be very hard to imagine that demons can enter the Holy of Holies!
Unless you have had a personal experience of having a demon while you are saved, then isn't your comment just based on your own thoughts.

Alan, We repent, and believe that Jesus died for us on the cross, and that His shed Divine Blood, washes away all of our sins, we accept Him in our heart, and Abide by His commandments. If we fail and Sin, get back up and repent, The Divine Blood will only cleanse if a person honestly repents. It's really that simple Alan. If you truly accept Jesus, that would include His Divine Blood Sacrifice too, wouldn't it? People are trying to make this more complicated than it is.

Helen, I agree with you. Jesus has already bled. It's done and He's not bleeding anymore. But He is living for us and His Spirit guides us. That is for now. The blood thing is like the gifts thing. It can become so big we make it bigger than the giver.
