Take a long drive stay in a hotel, evacuate, but understand, even in this you could be hit by a bus.

Well, I hope you were out of harm's way.
I don't believe Katrina was judgment on America as some have said. When God brought judgment to Soddom and Gommorah, it was obliterated off the earth.
Bourbon Street is still in New Orleans. It was not lost. It remained.
It was a hurricane.
When judgment comes it will wipe things away permanently.

If you are in doubt...GET OUT!

As a "salty" Floridian, (BTDT)evacuation works. Fighting a 20+' wall of water doesn't. LISTEN to the authorities. If they say go, GO. Don't cause those who have to stay to risk their lives because we get stubborn. Take advance action for your home, pets, friends, etc. Be ready. Know where your Bible & notes are, get the fam.photos and legal papers safe. Gov.Bush has a good plan. Go to myflorida.com (mod?) for more info...

Old, but good motto: "It's better to be safe, than sorry."

Alexa- Last year I had to travel during Katrina to MS as one of the requirements of my job. I spent 3 days in Pass Christian, 2 in Waveland and 5 in Gulfport. In Pass Christian I had lots of opportunity to talk to people who had underestimated the storm and were now homeless. I also spent a majority of time working with local law enforcement(another aspect of my job)searching and picking up dead bodies. My advice, if you feel that you should leave, then go, regret is always a hard lesson to learn.

Alexa, if you do not have the level of faith to pray the storm away or pray that the Holy Spirit can move it in another direction, then you do all you can do in the natural which is evacuate, the pray and ask God to do the supernatural. Why aren't you asking Father God what to do? He knows what's going to happen, not us. Amen?

If you are in doubt ... don't. Pray.

Follow the advice from the National Hurricane Center located on the campus of the University of Miami in Coral Gables. This is your definitive source for information about tropical storms.
