Any Urgency To Get Saved
The urgency of the saving of the soul is because you might never get another chance. None of us knows if we will see tomorrow, or even another five minutes.

It may be that few respond to this blog simply because the question is ambiguous. Whose soul? Yours? Mine? Theirs?

shira_9639 , This has been spoken about in other blogs, the urgency to save souls. One of those blogs was the "Does God Need help" blog: http://christianblogs.christianet.com/1156636416.htm#115757818726110

HELL! Saving folks from going to hell is the urgency.

The urgency to be saved is not a popular blog. Does that show the interest in helping keep people out of hell forever? Only 5 responses to this blog, yet several hundred on another that does not amount to a hill of beans. We should take this as an eye opener for our priorities.

AlwaysOn I agree. Life is just so different once we have the assurance of sins forgiven. When we have this ourselves we want others to have the same. We know that the reward will be the same for the one who was saved at age 9 as for the one saved at age 90 but there will be no comparison between the way their lives were lived. We are not given life so that we can waste it.

My answer has little to do with death or "before it's too late" (though I agree with all that's been shared in that vein). My motivation is because I want to see people live the best life possible, now. So many are depressed, addicted, bored and wandering aimlessly...and it's so unnecessary! Salvation is not just for when you die, but eternity is right now...why would anyone not want to experience all that Jesus offers now?

I have an urgency to see souls saved because we know not what a day will bring. I have an urgency to see my family saved (all of them). We had 7 in church sunday that raised their hands for prayer because they are not saved, but no one came to the altar. The sad part is they realize they are unsaved, but pride kept them from making the best decision in their life ever. They could meet eternity anytime.

Well I am guessing that we are talking about your soul; You really don't have control over any other.
The urgency for your soul or any is that life can end without warning.
Steve Irwin's death ought to be a good reminder of that.
In the event that your soul leaves your body today wouldn't you want to know for sure that it would be accepted by Jesus?
