When I was younger (im not old but we're talking at least ten years ago) there was a television show name "TV Show." Most people didn't watch it since I think it was public access, but a friend of mine and I loved it. We still sing the theme song to this day. Since I know my way around the internet i have decided to start a search, but I keep on finding deadends since it was not very popular..and its called "TV Show." So thats a very hard search. The theme song went like this: TV Show is cool, TV Show is phat, TV show is happening and its all that! TV show is cool, TV Show is phat, TV show is happening and its all that! TV Show, TV Show, go, go TV Show! Come on everybody lets watch!" Its corny but it was so much fun.

we have Chrsitian cable tv but even still its hard to find anything decent.

We just escaped the clutches of the heresy that is "Word of faith" movement recently, instead of watching Creflo, Copeland, etc..we are watching people who are preaching current relevant things like the end times which is around the corner.

We enjoyed carter conlon's recent shows and also enjoy a bit of John Hagee. We dont like all of what he preaches and believe he is wrong about his rapture theory, but we enjoy hearing him preach on the truth of holiness.

anyways its been interesting filtering through all the trash after being awakened2 the lie of the word of faith msg. Makes it harder to find quality preaching on the tv thats 4 sure.

We have digital tv by Time Warner Cable, so we can watch GMC. They have old shows like "Highway to heaven" "Dr.Quinn..Medicine Woman" I also like watching on the ISP network or anotherone , the Gospel Showcase or the Gaither Hour (their homecoming shows)nice music. I donot watch a lot of televangelist because you can spot the fake ones from the honest ones. This is why I donot watch the 700club anymore..too fake.

Have you seen the gameshow "Minute to Win It" on NBC? A new season begins on July 7th. I find it to have good values, and clean good natured fun! Give it a show when the new season starts.

//The woman got upset with me and said God won't bless you or you're family until you send us a $100. or more. I said, Well I'm sorry but I don't have the money to send at this time. She hung up on me but not before she said, God doesn't care too much for tight-wolds, and he will get angry with you.//

Arm twisting is ungodly. I really hate that there are people of God who say things like that. God's anger and wrath have been satisfied. To imply that His anger would be refreshed because of something you did or didn't do is to imply that Jesus just simply didn't do enough.

Has anyone seen Building a Difference? It's a new home makeover type TV series airing on TBN Tuesdays and Thursdays that features charities and ministries that are helping people in desperate need.
It's a great show and you can see clips of every episode on the Building a Difference website. Every story is fast paced and very emotional.

Ancient Secrets from The Bible on TBN. But they have mostly reruns and very few new programs.

The Bible prophecy teachings & world news of H.Lindsey, P.Stone, E.Hindson, J.V.Empi himself
& the news-situations in-on & about Israel.
All the other programs ain't worth turning on the tv for.
---Lawrence on 3/16/10

Perry Stone, Jack Van Impe, Hal Lindsey report, John Hagee and Pastor Jay Dennis.

These are the ones I support and watch the most. I don't have TV, but these are all accessed through the web.
---James on 12/12/09

I love hearing Joyce Meyer preach, but I find the talk show days boring. I used to get Sky Angel programming and I liked watching the children's program "Buzz and Poppy". It was colorful and funny. I watched that when all the other programs were boring. Also, I enjoy listening to Gloria Copeland. I don't agree with all of Jesse Duplantis' thoughts, but he is definitely amusing. Sometimes he's gone too far with his familiarity with God (naughty sayings).
---Betty on 4/24/09

I love watching The Billy Graham Crusades on TBN(Trinity Broadcasting Network).
---Michelle on 4/24/09

I am very faithful to wake up at 12:00 a.m. to watch and learn from Mellissa Scott. She has changed my Christian walk. May God continue to bless her.
---Diana on 4/15/09

lisa~ I don't blame you for getting rid of your t.v. Not a whole lot worth watching on it., and most of the 'religious' stuff on there is some of the 'scariest' programming of all.
---Anne on 3/23/09

I get 4 channels of Christian programs. Sometimes they have people on there like the Gather Vocal Band. Right now Daystar has their annual spring-telethon, which goes on forever it seems. They are begging for money. I got a magazine from Daystar one time wanting me to pledge $100. or more. I said if I were to give money then I'd give it to my church and not to them. The woman got upset with me and said God won't bless you or you're family until you send us a $100. or more. I said, Well I'm sorry but I don't have the money to send at this time. She hung up on me but not before she said, God doesn't care too much for tight-wolds, and he will get angry with you.

before i kicked out my tv, I enjoyed all the Kirk Cameron movies. He's pretty on fire for God and we all need a boldness like his. God was dealing with me about TV for a while, so I just kicked it out of the house. My 6yr. daughter was in the hospital for a while and when I left her to go to church, she had free reign of the TV and now "sex" is in her vocabulary!
---lisa on 3/20/09

My favorite christian programm is evan almighty (a film probably done by non-christians but so full of God miracle power that it is better then most christian films)
---Andy on 3/19/09

Robyn, I am happy there is finally someone besides myself who eyes are open and knows the truth about TBN and Daystar.
---Rob on 3/9/09

I have cable tv. The christian shows are limited to TBN and Daystar. They are getting very secular and hard to really understand. On Saturdays they show a lot of cartoons for kids with a bible theme. That's about it. The local stations and networks, don't touch christian programming. BET (cable) does a few christian shows on Sunday morns and a few award shows, from time to time. Local networks are beginning to show little advertisement for local churches. Very little.
As I write I can only think of one or two churches that are advertised in my city. I live in a very large town.

PS- The Program was an Animated Cartoon.
---Joshua on 3/7/09

Hi, this is more of a question than a reply, but around the time I was 7-10 I use to watch a movie series / TV series around in the 1990s. It had two Archeologist. 1 Man, 1 Woman, and they had a boy with them named Mokey. The program started with them digging, then they would fall though the sand and find a secret chamber with a giant door infront of them. When they went through the door it took them to a different biblical moment in history per episode that they would then relive and interact with the people of that time. Please can anyone tell me the name of the series I can't seem to find it. Thank you soooo much. JC
---Joshua on 3/7/09

I don't have one. I do enough preaching all day long. I don't need to listen to anymore.
---catherine on 8/27/08

We all too can have knowledge. God of Heaven and Earth sends instructions for His people to follow and the is to repent for our sins, in the Name of His Son our Lord, Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ and then be baptized in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. If we truely are of Him we will receive the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost that He sends to us. But we first must follow these instructions so we can have on the full armor for these last days

You evidently have enough sense to watch someone that actually uses scripture that witnesses scripture. Murray leaves the scripture in a place or two with his logic, on Kenites.
But, Murray is not antisemtic...which is a made up term anyway. Semites were never Israelites. He does preach truth about the anti Christs. Which there are many of today.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:21-23
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists, whereby we know that it is the last time.
1 John 2:17-19
---Trav on 8/26/08

Diane, the Reverend Murray is an antisemite. Many of his teachings match those of the Christian Identity movement.
---bernie_cohen on 8/23/08

Perry Stone & Grant Jeffery have alot of knowledge on many aspects(mainly prophecy) of the word of God that are fascinating to say the least.
They seem to be good men of God too...

I only get a few Christian broadcasts with my rabbit ears. I really miss the grass roots, anointed preaching, that Paul Crouch used to host on PTL or is it TBN now. Dynamite anointed preachers like: Kenneth Hagin..."are you listen to me"...and Dwight Thompson...and the yeller, I don't care much for yellers but R.W.Schambach was acceptable..."you don't have any problems, all you need is faith in God...and like an old wine Benny Hinn...and the prayer Ernest Angley...and remember Carmen Licciardello the musician and performer...and Nancy Harmon the singer...Ah yes, where are all these anointed ones today?

I just recently found Ask the Pastor and like it OK, but it is interesting, I also watch Shepherds Chapel, and Rev. Murray interprets the Bible also and he conflicts with most other pastors on TV. What do you all think of Rev. Murray ?

Something that I find really sad is that people will laugh when you tell them that "Little House on the Prairie" is based on a true story. Young people find it hard to believe that people ever lived lives with that high of a moral standard.
---Greyrider on 11/13/07

Star Trek the Original Series was great at teaching morals and tolerance. I highly recommend it for that reason.
---Nancy on 11/9/07

Unlike most true home churches, who are real people deeply caring about each other, you are nothing but another face in the crowd when you visit their church. Their sermons are shallow having no meaning in your life now, today. In fact, the people on TV are shallow having no one-on-one personal relaltionship with anyone watching and that is what people are searching for. That's what people want, personal relationships to help them grow in christ - not a bunch of cookie cutting sermons.
---Steveng on 10/14/07

Nothing on TV is worth watching today, not even the Christian shows. People who watch them like their TV personalities, two dimensional charaters having no blood or feelings, who are not the same person in real life. These TV stations only bring in people who are like minded having their own traditions, rules and interpretations of the bible much like any denomination church.

I don't have any favorites and you know that the PW show is my least favorite. That one turns, churns my stomach. Just another brick in the wall for "Without Walls" or boundaries.
---Bob on 10/13/07

I love to watch Adrian Rogers on Love Worth Finding, as well as In Touch with Charles Stanley. I also love to watch Ask the Pastor on TCT. Also Jeff Shreve on From His Heart ministries is very good. You have to be careful who you watch on christian channels. If you know the truths that Jesus teaches us, than you can detect a false preacher. Jesus said my sheep know my voice. God Bless!
---Cynthia on 10/13/07

I like watching Reba, Still Standing, The Closer, Law & Order, just to name a few. I don't watch the tv show TBN or the Angel channel. There are too many phonies on there and 9 times out of 10 the say, "Pledge $100 a month and you'll be added to our prayer list and you'll receive this bottle of holy water, you won't get this holy water anywhere else". It is like God only visits them and no one else, ya know.
---Rebecca_D on 10/13/07

I love Travel the Road- two real missionaries and the hardships they face.
Perry Stone- I love how he ties it into Hebrew tradition and he expounds the word very well.
Jentzen Franklin-Freedom Chapel, Georgia
I also love all those old Biblical movies TBN shows some times- does anyone else like them?

When I get a chance to watch TV, I like most of those mentioned here especially Melissa Scott, 700 Club, & Drive Through History I also really like Myles Munroe's BFMI, & Jack Van Impe Presents.
Andrea, Did you know you can watch Melissa Scott on the net? (pastormelissascott)
---tracy3346 on 10/12/07

I love Melissa Scott and her way of interpreting the scriptures. And what a testimony of salvation and the grace of God.
She stopped airing in my area but I used to set the clock and get up at 1am to watch her.

love is a verb
worship is a verb
When Jesus said:
"it is finished" it's an ongoing action --it continues to be finished (WOW) some of the stuff I learned from her will change me forever

Candice: I love watching Melissa Scott also! She is so interesting and she is so blessed in that she can explain the Bible so well, the TRUE words from the original Bible.
I thought I was the only one on CN who watched her!
Most of the preachers on TV are so fake, I feel so much embarressment for them. I honestly don't know how they can get so many people to believe them.

Pastor R Douglas West on TBN, Bishop Most,Pastor Gregory Dickow, Bountiful Blessings. Most of the TBN programming is great. I aso like Christian radio programming. Example: Woodrow Kroll, Bible teaching, some Tony Evans and so on.A lot of christian music on radio and talk shows.

I'm not fond of "powerful" preachers who try to mesmerize or hype their audience. To me that's acting.

If you listen to Fr George forgot his last name, from Washington, he is very smooth, explains clearly and I learn a lot from him.

Never liked those who make fools of themselves, yelling and screaming claiming they are filled with the Holy Spirit. No they are not - that's abuse.

Well, I do not get it. Why would someone be scared if that someone is truly saved? I love powerful preachers preaching by the power of God. I do not enjoy preachers that gets up and is so smooth you might go to sleep. I love a preacher that preaches by the power of God and speaks only His words. Let it be directly from scripture or directly from God Himself. God'S POWER.

I don't watch the TV preachers anymore since I have settled it in my mind that they are almost all false teachers. The only one I like to have a listen to is Bayliss Conley -- he seems to be Biblically correct and I haven't picked up anything that he has said that is wrong so far.
---Helen_5378 on 9/7/06

Joyce Meyers, She is about the only one that goes by the word of God. I don't watch alot of the Christian networks, they have a bunch of fake advanglists on there. I loved watching Touched by an Angel but it doesn't play anymore. 7th Heaven is a good tv show to watch.
