I'm puzzled, why do you think Israel is at fault, unless you believe just existing is a fault.
Look at the facts, not the hyperbole.
1/ Refugee camps. Where are they and who set them up? Short answer: the Arab states.
2/ Does she not have the right to security, when no-on else in thre world will raise a finger to help?
3/ We are told, in the Bible, to support Israel.

A common false doctrine is, "God favors the Jews, they are the chosen", and God is a prejudical racist and a respecter of persons. God made a covenant with Abraham and his offspring Israel: You serve only me, then I will bless you. But the requirement is exclusive loyalty to him. When you fulfill your end of the covenant, Love God completely and love your neighbor as yourself, then God keeps his end of the covenant. But a fool says, Forget you God, but you must keep your covenant promise to me.

The PLO has Nazi roots. Arafat's beloved mentor, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, spent WW2 with Hitler, helped recruit Bosnian Muslims for the SS Jew-killing squads, and urged his pal Adolf Eichmann to hurry up with the "final solution".
---Ktisophilos on 7/24/07

I don't know who "blindly" supports people. But the likes of Jimmy Carter blindly support the murderous terrorists of Hamas (the Hebrew word for "violence"!).

Fact: Israel is the only real democracy in the Middle East. Ordinary Arab citizens have more rights in Israel than they do in Arabic countries. Conversely, the Arab countries threw out the Jews who had been living there for generations.

.tofurabby, God cares more about whether you are obedient to him or not, for to call oneself a Jew because of nationality or because their forefathers were Jews is worthless, but to call oneself a Jew because they love Christ and keep his Commandments, this is a real Jew. And so the sheep will be separated from the goats, those whom did Christ's will and those whom did not Christ's will, one will be gathering into heaven, and the other thrown into hell fire.
---Eloy on 7/23/07

.tofurabby, Jesus said to the Jews, "The kingdom of God will be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forward the fruits thereof. But the children of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness: there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 21:43, 8:12. A real Jew is one whom is a Jew inwardly, and not outwardly by nationality. But you will believe whatever you desire.

Christians are to support every righteous nation, and not favor any one nation over another nation. In fact where ever there are needs we are to fill them, and treat others as we would want others to treat us.
---Eloy on 7/21/07

Israel has every right to defend itself from radicals. All christians should support Israel. Muslims are trying to take over the world the same way Hitler did. Mass murder, beheadings and other things they do to people that won't denounce A Holy God.

No Eloy, "God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew." Rom. 11:2 "through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy." Rom. 11:11 "that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written" Rom. 11:25,26
God has blinded Israel temporarily as a form of chastening. They are still his chosen people.
---tofurabby on 9/13/06

tofurabby, Yes, God cast away his people because they chose sin over him. Salvation came to his own people meek and lowly and riding upon a donkey, but his own people received him not, but instead they did unto him whatsoever they desired, which was slay him. All who reject me, I will reject before my Father in heaven and before the holy angels.
---Eloy on 9/11/06

"I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite" Rom. 11:1 "God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew." Rom. 11:2 "And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this IS my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins." Rom. 11:26,27

God is no repecter of persons. "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich to all that call upon him." Romans 10:12. Christ is the vine, and ALL believers are the branches. If the Jew does not stay in the vine they are withered, and are gathered and cast into the fire along with all nonbelievers. Please read John 15:1-10.

kathr4453, my socks are knocked off... Jana, what are you talking about? You have no idea what Israel has had to endure in the name of peace. Land that GOD gave them , and according to GOD's promise it was returned, there is land that has been taken away that still needs to be returned. Many words are written here in these blogs, but very little understanding of the FACTS. Read Romans 11:18. Through Christ we have been branches grafted into the tree. We are not the root.
---Dottie on 9/10/06

Jana ... where did yo pick up the idea that the people of the state of Israel are muslims? They are Jews, who are the descendants of Jacob, son of Isaac.
By the way I agree with you that their behaviour is bad, maybe they are God's people, but don't yet understand how they should behave.
---alan8869_of_UK on 9/9/06

If Israel be God's people, then why are they making war all the time...why are they killing and bombing the enemy...is that God's way? No way...they are of Ishmael..they are muslims etc but not christians and certainly not of God..they and their forefathers rebelled against God.
---jana on 9/9/06

Israelites and Hebrews of today are not God's people...Gal 4:22to31 they are of the bond woman Hagar. Paul said that Jews inhis days are'nt Jews of covenant children that is of Sarai/Abraham but of bondage Hagar John1:12,13. True Israelites are those who has Christ in them Gal3:26-29 and Rom9:6-8

Jack; In Romans 11:26-36
Have you read ALL. Does it say after the fullness of the Gentiles, that a DELIVERER shall come out of Zion for Israel? My Bible says that. What version are you reading that that was ommitted?

Don't you believe Romans 11 at all, or do you just pick and choose what you want to believe. There is more yet to come. Stay tuned!!!

We are under the NEW Covenant, not the old. And I note that a lot of people do not know the living God: For God does not love the Jew any more than he does the non-Jew, else God would not be Holy God, but rather a prejudicial racist. "And he has made of ONE BLOOD ALL NATIONS OF MEN for to dwell upon all the face of the earth..." Acts 17:26.

Israel is God's chosen nation. If you believe the Bible, then that is an eternal relationship. In my opinion, God is the only one with the authority to take any action against them.

Remember, Isaiah says that every nation will be against Israel but God will make them "an unmovable rock." The world is becoming more sympathetic to the violent people of the countries surrounding Israel everyday. It is easy to join in the chant against Israel, but bear in mind that God has never forgotton His first people, the Jews. We may be his people now, but He will still keep his promise that the land of Israel belongs to the Jews, and so we must support God's work.

Romans 15:26-27 "For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution to the poor among the saints in Jerusalem. They were pleased to do so and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.

Gen.12:1-3 when the LORD said to Abram, Get out of your country, From your family and from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you; and God doesn't go back on His words.

God is no repecter of persons: The Jews said to Jesus, Abraham is our father...Jesus said to them, You all are from your father whose the devil, and whatever cravings of your father you all will do....Who which from of God, hears these words of God; on account of this you all hear not, because you all not being from of God." John 8:39,44,47.

Jack, Rom. 11 v.1 "Hath God cast away his people? God forbid." v.2 "God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew." v.25 "...that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in." this whole chapter speaks ofhow they are blinded. Why? "to provoke them to jealousy." by giving the Gentiles salvation. Theyre still God's chosen. They rejected Christ andare being punished. v.3 "I am left alone, and they seek my life."
---tofurabby on 9/7/06

** Israel is God's chosen people. Deuteronomy 7:6 14:2 1Chronicles 16:13 Isaiah 44:1**
Others have said the same thing.
How does this square with the words of Jesus to the Jews of His day: "Therefore, the Kingdom of God is taken from you and given to a people who will bring forth its fruits."
---Jack on 9/7/06

Ryan, if God has directed you to pray for terrorists, then by all means, go for it!!
However, be prepared that you will be entering a war zone with their demons. Ryan, your zeal is precious. But you need to ask Father whom you should be praying for. Your next door neighbor might need Jesus or the fellow you pass by on the street, or the person you work with. "This kind only comes out with prayer and fasting." GO for it Ryan!

Blindly supporting Israel is the position of every bible believing person. In the matter of governing if I am not against Bush because of what he has done. No, rather I'm against Bush because he has not done more. The Jews don't know who they are, most of them refused Jesus Christ, yet because of who they are to Christ I unfailingly support them.

Where in scripture does it say to fight violence with violence. Yahshua didn't do it. Neither did Martin Luther King or Ghandi. If someone blows up your friends then you blow up their friends, how are you any better?

If they are decendants of the 12 tribes, then they are the same chosen people from the OT.
---tofurabby on 9/7/06

Not all Jews are the chosen. Only the born-again Christians are God's chosen people, and regardless of ethnic origin or color or gender. For God is absolutely No respecter of person's, nope, none. You either accept Jesus, or not. Please read what Jesus says about the Jews who think they are God's chosen in John 8:39-47.

MikeM and Eve, where do you get the idea that the present land of Israel is not the one in the Bible? Admitedly it is smaller then the promised land but still the right place.
I you take your information from the Muslims, they tell lies and deceit all the time, so anyting they say is suspect.
---mike8384 on 9/7/06

As a Christian I do not see the world as Arab or Israeli, Russian or Chinese, American or British. My eyes have become spiritual eyes and I see souls as either lost or in the grace of God. We should pray just as hard if not harder for the terrorists, Osama Bin Laden, Hezbollah and all the like. The nation of Israel that is involved in this conflict is just as guilty of sin as their Arab and Palestinian brothers in arms.
---Ryan on 9/6/06

Israel is God's chosen people. Deuteronomy 7:6 14:2 1Chronicles 16:13 Isaiah 44:1
God is capable of dealing with Israel, when it does wrong. This you can see, if you read the OT and the book of Revelation.
It is a good thing the US supports Israel.

Ryan, Israel has a right to defend itself against it's enemies.Israel was trying to bomb where Hezbollah was launching rockets from. Hezbollah is an Islamic terrorist organization supported and funded by Syria and Iran. They would like the complete destruction of Israel.

The real question is whether that patch of real estate in the Middle East is the true Israel of God.
I propose it is not, but this is not something I can explain in 85 words, and I won't even try.
However, consider this proverb: "Not all that glitters is gold."
And even St. Paul said, "They are not all Israel who are of Israel."
---Jack on 9/6/06

Ive heard the Muslim religion stems from Abraham's son Ishmael. They believe he was the son God promised Abraham to be his chosen offspring. So its obvious they would war with Israel, Abraham's other son and true chosen offspring. Here is God said about Ishmael: Gen 16:12 "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." Sounds like the modern muslim nations doesnt it? Always picking a fight.
---tofurabby on 9/6/06

Is the modern state of Israel the same as the OT Israel? To the Islamics it is Muslem land. The real reason for us supporting the State of Israel is as a buffer for our interest in the middle east, meaning OIL. That is why we are in Iraq, the only 'real' reason, wars are fought over economics, morality and patriotism are propaganda tools used by politicians to acheive those goals.

mike8384, Israel is at fault for crucifying their own Messiah and not living by the Spirit of the law. They continue to ignore the weightier provisions of the law: Love, mercy & justice. I love every child of the nation of Israel but I will not support their wars. Unfortunately I am forced to supply funds to them through my tax dollars I can only hope those monies go to the poor the orphaned the hungry and the widowed.

Israel is supposed to be our best friend. But all I see is Americans dying for idolatry and Bush's oil. Countries call America the Beast because of our support of Israel. I have a big problem with poor people dying to make rich people richer.
