The Apostle Paul tells us to take heed to what we listen to. He also tells us all things are permissable, but not all things are profitable. We should not be putting in our spirits anything demonic. We should feed our spirit with the Word of God, Bible Teachings, Songs of Praise and Worship. We should watch as little TV as possible. Most if it is garbage anyway.

Lately I have been focusing on what it means to be "Holy". The Bible says pray without ceasing for the devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, one of his favorite strategys is the influece and power of the air waves. I am convicted by much I see. But the Bible says that ''without Holiness it is impossible to please God'' I looked up the Holy definition, and Websters states it like this, ''Filled with superhuman and potentially fatal power.......part one

"Seek that which is good and Godly." Even most, if not all, Christian movies (anytype of entertainment) today are not fit to watch. Most contain errors, some major, some minor. It's written that Christians will be deceive by false doctrines and will believe in lies by fables, gnostic stories, and novels including Left Behind, DiVinci Code, and other books, stories and fictional documentories. We are at the dawn of the great falling away. Pray to God continually for guidance.

There is not anything good about hellivision. All we see is the occult, violence, homosexuals and I could go on and on. My husband likes to watch the old westerns and action. I just don't like the action. I like weather channel, fox news, animal planet if I watch tv.

I'm starting to hate action shows; not only does it show happy violence, it also shows incorrect depictions of men, reality and that I've never seen 'em feel emotion. It's only like that in action anime (except for Eva). I've never seen them pray to God or are Christians. It's no wonder agnostics are.

No it isn't satantic. I watch action shows, but mostly I watch suspense, like Law and Order SVU, The Closer, Monk, etc. If I rent a movie and it has alot of language, or nudity in it, I turn it off. If the action shows your dad watches doesn't have language or nudity like (Chuck Norris Movie or Jackie Chan) I don't see the problem.

I once heard a sermon that stated that the dirt clings to us, not the good. I have found this to be true. Good does not rub off onto us, but the dirt does. So we should be careful what we watch. If you want violence to rub off onto you, then watch it. I won't.

Violence has always been a specator sport from the days of the first Olympic games which included wrestling and boxing, frequently to death.
As Shira pointed out, despite her opening words, there ARE good things on TV. I happen to enjoy Mythbusters, myself.
