Amen, Ralph. If you take an opinion poll with your friends, family, etc., you will have so many different answers. God is not the author of confusion. If you're confused now, there's an indicator. Seek God with your whole heart. He'll tell you.

Ask God. Why not ask Him directly? The Bible teaches if you need wisdom...ask for it. God is more than happy to give you wisdom in a matter.

If you both have God in the center of your relationship,It's hard to go wrong. If only one of you look to God for the answers, then I would rethink who I'm about to marry.Just keep praying and asking Him for His direction for your life,Don't try to help the Lord,He doesn't need our help.

I personally believe that Christians are free to marry whoever they wish as long as that person is a believer.

That person will be saved, sanctified, prayed up, serving God and their testimony sure. As should you.

Is he is capable to love you...for who you are..

then he is the right person.

Ask Father God, "Is he the one or should we wait for another?" that's what they asked about John the Baptist and that's what I asked God when He sent my husband and I wasn't sure if he was the one.

Great answers given here. Also, compare this person's character with the character God speaks of spouses having. It's important, also, for both of you to understand marriage, and the spousal roles within marriage, from a biblical perspective before marrying. Take the time to explore, together, what the bible teaches on this subject and listen to God speaking through the pages of your bible.

The Bible says let peace be your guide. In the Amplified Bible, Colossians 3:15 says: And let the peace (which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds].
Trust the Lord for direction and never make a decision without that peace from God. Ask Him to confirm His plans until you are confident you are hearing His voice. He wants you to hear from Him. Be patient and keep trusting, peace will come.
