Romans 8:1 says " There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." If you're walking in the flesh you're not out of Christ, but in the flesh. Galatians 5:19-21 lists the works of the flesh. Then verses 22-23 lists the "fruit" or "produce" of walking in the spirit.

Do Youjustwait on your kids to make a mistake to pounce on them? Neither does God

Yes, if you are not walking in the spirit it is not pleasing to God at all. And God will come down on you. If you slip out slip right back in.

This blog has a very sweet spirit about it, looks like the replies were all written from the gifts of the Spirit.

Read a little further in Romans 8. Verse 9 gives you the answer. Also, who put you in Christ? You? Or were you baptized into the body of Christ by the Spirit of God? If you were put into Christ by the Spirit, then it will be the Spirit of God who will have to take you out. Since His job is to bear witness of the Christ, I don't think He is too busy majoring on taking folks out of the Christ He planted them in. Condemnation is of the enemy, of the letter and not the spirit. The Spirit edifies.

Sue8693, (3.) As long as you Abide in God's Truth, you can never be separated from Him(Romans 8:35)Walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16)means that you surrender all to God, you are letting God direct your path down that "narrow straight" road that only a few will/can walk(Psalms 37:23)(Matthew 7:14)and as long as you do that you will be okay. The Word says that we must examine ourselves(2 Corinthians 13:5)to see if we are "in the faith" thus "in Christ". God Bless.

Sue8693, (2.)Contining and Abiding in God's Truth is the key. We must "live right" before God, He expects this from Christians,we must abstain from all appearances of evil(1 Thessalonians 5:22), don't partake in the things that God said not to partake in, basically keeping away from all the works of the flesh(Galatians 5:19 )keep away from anything that would separate you from His Truth....

Sue8693, (1.)Jesus said no one can come to the Father unless they are "Drawn" first(John 6:44), it's the Holy Ghost that does the Drawing, and He will continue to lead us into all Truth, if we allow Him, and yield to Him, give Him freedom and liberty in our life. Always remember that many are called , but few are choosen, because only a few, continue(John 8:31,32) with the Lord, most stop abiding(John 15:4)....

Rom.8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
You cannot be in Christ if you have not surrendered to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Christ is the FULL Measure of the Holy Spirit, John 3:34 ..for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him].

Linda: Great Answer!!!
1st Peter Ch 4. Growing is through the fellowship of His sufferings. Jesus learned obedience throught the things He suffered, yet Jesus wasn't worldly. It's the carrying around in us the dying of Jesus, that the life of Jesus is made manifest in us. We die daily. Jesus is our example. He came to do the will of His Father, and left us His example how to do that. *Philippians: 2:5-8

You can't be "out of Christ" if you're a true born-again Christian. The Holy Spirit sealed you to redemption. There's no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. As a carnal/fleshly Christian you make decisions apart from the leadership of Christ thru the Holy Spirit, His filling you need daily, you're choosing from the "old man" & not your new life. You don't have Christ's wisdom in you each moment as you need it. Nor the confidence you have when you have knowingly yielded to Him.

You must also understand that you are a spirit, have a soul(intellect, emotions), are in a body.(Genesis 1:26; IThessalonians 5:23; John 4:24; IJohn 5:7) Paul talked about his flesh warring against his spirit in Romans 7 then in Rom. 8 he shows the liberty of walking in the spirit.
