Is Satan running amok? Well, what do you think, it sure isn't GOD.

So what is your point about the Amish kids it sounds like you are saying that the Amish are bringing the Devil into our schools?
---Alex on 11/9/10

The thief cometh to steal, kill and destroy. He roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The question should be, are Christians binding the devil each and every day so that he can't operate in our schools? Or are we not doing what Jesus said, binding and loosening? Can your prayers keep him from doing such horrific events of evil?

Jimbo: The Amish schools are not part of the American school system. They are totally independent of the public schools as you would know them. Most kids only go to school there to a certain age, as they are needed on the farms. They are not operated by the local school boards, but are independent. Pity is, it was an outsider, who invaded this little school. Just as the Colorado school shooting.

Sue ... yes Right!!
---alan8869_of_UK on 10/12/06

Alan, now I understand. You're correct and I agree. But now a days incest is a sin, right? But back then it was NOT considered incest and NOT a sin, right?
---sue on 10/12/06

Sue ... It is wrong to call what happened then, incest, because that has the connotation of sin.
---alan8869_of_UK on 10/12/06

Alan, I agree, you're absolutely right. Back then it was NOT a sin, but today it is.

John T, polydactily is a recognised condition. It might, on some occasions, be linked with the off-spring of an incestuous relationship but not generally. Goliath and his brothers suffered from this. These days the extra digit is virtually always removed surgically.
---emg on 10/11/06

Sue ... it was not incest, and it was not a sin, then.
---alan8869_of_UK on 10/9/06

Alicia, when there were only a few people to populate the world I guess incest was nessecary. But NOT TODAY! There are a lot of things in the Bible that we dont do today, incest is one of them.

I'am not excussing the guys behavior, but on all these killers faces there is this blank look in there eye as if they are not even there. It could be this guy was completely possessed by a demon. He would be good canidate for possession if he was angry at god. The fact that he was acting normally beforehand, and taking his kids to school is alarming.
---Alicia on 10/8/06

Wether or not you believe the bible we are all results from incest when in the beginning there was just Adam, and Eve. If we are not a result of incest than we can not possibly be all the same.
---Alicia on 10/8/06

Jesus bids the four angels hold the winds of strife till the servants of God are sealed. What we see is Satan being permitted to exercise his power, but God will have a people who will relate rightly, even to those who despitefully use them.
I am pained by some of the things said here. If there is no incest, divorce, murder among Christians, then we might wish to cast stones. What would Jesus do? As we judge, we will be judged.

Sociologists HAVE documented incidents of incest among the Amish. There is also a genetic defect among them where a signigicant number have 6 fingers.

However, having lived in York County for 8 years I know that there are some GREAT evangelical churches in both York and Lancaster Counties.

Thefore, I disagree with the contention that "there is a spirit of darkness in Lancaster county". It is no more there as it is in any other county.

I am aware of covens in Brogue .

Keep in mind that there are different groups of Amish, some of which have nothing to do with some others.

EMG, I believe both 60 minutes and 20/20 did investigative reports on incest in these communities. Several girls/women have come forth to report acts of incest and excessive punishment for resistance. One girl had all of her teeth pulled because she ran away and told someone on the outside what was going on. These women have stated publicly that this sort of thing is common amongst the Amish.
---AlwaysOn on 10/4/06

Jack, you are so very right. Because the media is saying they are all saying they forgive the guy who murdered those girls, yet they live committing incest and think nothing of it. They talk about it to non-Amish folks like myself like it's okay to do. By the way, why is incest a sin? Sarah was Abraham's half sister, right? So why is it a sin (which I believe it is).

emg, the man I dated who was an Amish guy, he told me. I live near Lancaster County and I've toured there with him many times. We dated and he would tell me stories. The reason why incest was so great there, he said it was because they would go to bed when it got dark out because they wouldn't use electricity, only candles and oil burning lamps.

**There is some kind of evil stronghold over that area,**
I think it's more likely because they confuse their cultural folkways and lifestyle with Christianity.
Legalism of any kind always leads to bondage.

Mima ... You should have the guts to say what you mean.

Just to follow up on what Donna said-- I don't quiet know what it is with the Amish people, they sing once a week at the nursing home where i used to work. while their music is great to listen to they seem to have a depressed spirit.

If you have any knowledge of the demonic forces in the world you understand the truthfulness of Donna's statements.

Donna, who told you that these people commit incest? Obviously they have a smaller group of people to marry than larger communities have but I believe you are wrong in what you say and, unless you have proof, you should not say such things.
---emg on 10/3/06

Folks, I dated an Amish guy from the same area where the shootings occurred. When I would go up to Lancaster County, I sensed such a spirit of oppression, that I told the guy to take me home. There is some kind of evil stronghold over that area, maybe due to the incest and believing they are the only ones who are living the right way. Let's bind that spirit of oppression over Lancaster County so that the rest of the people there can have peace.
