To Whosoever Has An Ear To Hear?

Brethren, Suffering with Christ, we're also Glorified together with Him, receiving not the spirit of bondage unto to fear, but the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we're the Children of God : and if Children, then heirs. Heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, .... and this is how we know our names to be written in the Book of Life !!!

#3. If no fruit is present, then no faith is present. Where saving faith is found, fruit of that faith is also found.
Third. We seek assurance from the Word of God through which the Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit that we are His children. If you have that love, that saving faith, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to your spirit you are a child of God your name is already written in the book of life, from infinite time. There is no names added or taken away from what was written already by God.

Hi Annabel, The easiest way to have a false assurance of salvation is to have a false doctrine of salvation. If a person holds to a Universal view of salvation they don't have the right doctrine. If a person is believing that they will get to heaven by trying to live a good life, is another. Those who think they are living a good enough life to satisfy the demands of a Holy God are only deluding themselves into thinking they are saved.

#2. The test for authentic assurance is twofold.
On the one hand, We must examine our own hearts to see if we have true faith in Christ. We must see whether or not we have any genuine love for the biblical Christ. For we know such love for Him would be impossible without regeneration.
Second, we must examine the fruit of our faith. We do not need perfect fruit to have assurance, but there must be some evidence of the fruit of obedience for our profession of faith to be credible.

There's a blessed assurance each believer has, and that's the Holy Spirit.

Sin losing it's luster is a good indicator that God has come to live inside of you. Further if Jesus is first in your mind much of the time and you long for the Kingdom, these are also good indicators.

1 John 3:2-3
God will not despise you for letting him know that you need to know.

greetings, your name is at this moment in the book of life.your name was listed soon after you were were born innocent with no curses or sins of your fathers upon you.the roll call will determine if your name stays.if it does[the indwelling spirit(the true light that lighteth every man that comes into the world) calls your name] then you will be given a new name and a new body and your heavenly ,eternal journey begins.

If you are saved and you abide in Jesus and he in you. Rest assure your name is written down. God said that his children (Christians) are written in the palm of his hand. How cool is that?

Everyone who was ever born has their name written in the book of life. Those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ are in the book of life of the Lamb and that is the book you want to be in. Find out about this in revelation 13:8
