More Healings Today Needed

" The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked" The God that allowed Paul to do this is still God today. What keeps us from doing this?

We aren't walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the baptism in the Holy Spirit in the day of Pentecost so that we would receive power. Paul was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Some churches try to say the baptism in the Holy Spirit ended with the disciples.

Healings are happening all over the world. Where have you been? Benny Hinn is a great faith healer. God uses him mightily for healings of all type. I see miracles of healings in our churches here in Texas.
Also. Too much doubt and unbelief hinders our miracles and blessings these days. We cant doubt God and expect miracles like Paul did.

but herb you do have to admit that if something miraculous happened anything such as a healing in front of a non-christian they would get pretty interested in what you have to say...

That happened in the beginning of the church age to show that it was God. Used as a sign to the unbelieving Jews. To show that the Apostles were of God. Today God wants us to trust and believe in him by faith, not by what we see happening.

more healings?no.e are told not to seek signs and wonders.More of God's will?yes and that may or may not include healing.I am deaf and severely disabled but know God isn't going to heal.I sought Him over this and the only reply I got confirmed over and over was that HIS steength ands grace would be sufficient for me and it is.My health problems sometimes open the way to ministry

When God heals, would that mean no more assistance. Benefits would be no more.

Jack, what responsibility is that? I'd like to know because maybe you're Actually, God healed my mother of polymyositis. We have done nothing but rejoice and Praise the Name of Jesus and have given HIM all the Glory and Praise due to Him. I did the same when I was healed of a spinal injury in 1996. I'd be curious as to what kind of responsibility you mean? Thank you.

My feeling is that only God can heal. We need to have faith and pray to Him for healing. If the prayer is not answered right away, I feel God has a reason for this. A lot of times people pray for something and if they don't get an answer immediately they say there is no God. God may not feel as though a person is ready for the answer and will grant it in when He thinks the person is ready.

I think we need to remember that God is sovereign, and WE are not.

Maybe the reason more people aren't healed is that they can't bear the responsibility that would come with the healing.

On the other hand, in the world to come, there is no disease, so healing DOES come, even if not in this life.

These things are happening on a regular basis in our city. The only thing in the way of miracles happening is people. God is a God of miracles. He doesn't do much were unbelief rules.

---Rickey I want to encourage you and all other Christians who are reading this blog to do exactly what you said, the Bible says it let's do it.

God is still healing the sick today. One lady who came to my church to testify shared how she was paralized for four years and how one day God raised her to her feet. Every one thought she would die and they spoke of burrying her wearing a wedding dress, because she was not married and would be Jesus' bride in heaven. After a short time since God healed her she married a widower with 8 children. The youngest boy said, "Mom, where you were for so long." Her name is Yevgeniya Poleshchuk.

I agree with Rebecca. It's not that God doesn't. He certainly does. I've had a miracle happen in my life. I haven't seen the Bible ones, sure, but I know many who have. We need to be where God wants us, doing what He wants us to do. And it is His choice if He uses us as part of a miracle, or allows us to see one. God is STILL alive and well. Read missionary letters.

I totally agree with Rebecca. Some people are scared. Jesus Himself said that these signs shall follow those who believe.(Mark 16:17-18) Some folks just won't believe it, some are scared that it won't work, some are just skepticle & say that it isn't for today. My question is if the bible says why don't we just do it?
---Rickey on 10/19/06

Maybe because back in those days people actually SAW the miracles of Jesus, now-a-days we have only blind faith. It's easy to beleive in something/body when you see it.
---sue on 10/19/06

Rev. Herb the following verse seems to repudiate your statement that God doesn't want us to go but what we see. John 14:11"Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake." Remember Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever.

People don't have faith in God like we need to. It takes faith to move the hand of God. Some people are scared of God's power and don't want any part of it.
---Rebecca_D on 10/19/06

Doubt and unbelief. We have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we believe God can and does work miracles, but unless we are walking in the anointing, by the Spirit, hooked up to God with the God-kind of faith, these things aren't happening. We gotta have God's faith which I call the God-kind of faith. Jesse Duplantis said he has to cut through tons of doubt and unbelief when he prays for people. I feel that too.
