Tell Everyone About Jesus

Someone you know, maybe you work with them, maybe they live next door to you, maybe you see them on the bus every morning and etc. You have no reason to believe that their are saved. Does God hold you responsible to tell them they can be saved, to give them a message of salvation?

Chip: "I totally disagee that Jesus is "only a messenger" & disgree That the Bible says that."

Instead of disagreeing right of the bat, be like the Bereans who search to find truth. Also, do a search for "kingdom of God" in a KJV online bible and read all the verses in context.

Steveng,

I posted: "So, what is the gospel that Jesus taught? The Kingdom of God. Daniel knew when he interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar dream. Isaiah knew that Jesus was only a messenger."

I totally disagee that Jesus is "only a messenger" & disgree That the Bible says that.

Chip: "Malachi 2:7 refers to Levi and 3:1 was referring to John the Baptist, not Jesus."

Read the chapter very carfully. Of course, Malachi wasn't the only prophet to point to Jesus as a messenger.

Dear Sir/ Madam

I have recently come across an image of a painting of Jesus
by artist Dan Proops which I found most offensive. I would be interested to know
what your viewpoint is

I have a testamony. I spent four years in this apartment complex. Didn't believe that I would ever move back to my home. Anyways, I didn't feel I was much of a witness over there. It kinda weighed on me a little. One day God said to me, "I didn't put you there to be a witness for me but to learn about people. I received a four year degree. However, I did witness some. I would cut their grass and praise God publicly when I turned off the lawnmower. God's power.

Jesus told us, Be ye witnesses unto me." Telling people about Jesus is another whole ball game then giving them the gospel and asking them to make a life changing decision to repent, follow Jesus, and accept Him as their Messiah into their heart as their Lord and Savior, that's a life changing decision and people don't want the gospel shoved down their throats. Did Jesus witness to the woman at the well that way? LOVE people and they will be drawn to Jesus in you. Be a witness to them first.

Steveng, Malachi 2:7 refers to Levi and 3:1 was referring to John the Baptist, not Jesus.

My mistake.

Please accept my most humble apologies.

I posted: "So, what is the gospel that Jesus taught? The Kingdom of God. Daniel knew when he interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar dream. Isaiah knew that Jesus was only a messenger."

It wasn't Isaiah that said Jesus was a messenger, it was Malichi.

we are told to go into all the world and that includes everyone We show the gospel more by opur actions than our words very often. Many times someone has asked me about my faith because of my actions and because they saw God'sd love in action they were willing to listen Jesus met the need often before preaching

It is the "gospel" about the Kingdom of God that Jesus came to teach. This is the same "gospel" truth seekers will be teaching. Jesus did not come to say "hey look at me and worship me because my grace is sufficent", He said He came to save the 'lost sheep of Israel' (KOH). Adam's job was to do the same thing, but he failed the test. Israel/Jews were to do the same, but also failed the test. The 144,000 and the 5 wise virgins will NOT fail the test.

Jesus did not come to earth to talk about himself.

Nor did He come to talk about the gospel of grace nor the gospel of salvation. Nor any of the hundreds of other gospels that weaved themselves throughout the world for two thousand years.

So, what is the gospel that Jesus taught? The Kingdom of God. Daniel knew when he interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar dream. Isaiah knew that Jesus was only a messenger.

In the body of Christ, church, we are called/chosen for different things. All are called to live a life that brings credit to the church & honor to Jesus. Some of us are called to preach/witness/teach. We are given the "tools" for our purpose. I have witness some on this blog that wants to witness but use their opinions to judge & condemn. Think about it.

**You have no reason to believe that their are saved. **

Do you have reason to believe they are NOT Christians...I mean, beyond this person's not using pop-evangelical buzz words and catch phrases?

There are many people who have a very deep faith and close walk with Jesus, but they are reserved and not as articulate and glib as some.

Part 2:

**Does God hold you responsible to tell them they can be saved, to give them a message of salvation?**

Only if you are led to. Make sure it's the Holy Spirit leading you, and not your desire to be a hit man for Jesus.
---Jack on 4/26/07

jack-where exactly does it say God does NOT want us to witness? plz elaborate
---r.w. on 11/18/06

God saves so that the saved can go out and save others too, then they may also rejoice in their salvation; There's no good in a selfish salvation, nor in a silent and dead witness. You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost it's saltiness it is good for nothing, but to be thrown out and trampled under foot of man. Don't hide your light under a bushel, but let your light so shine in the presence of man that they may see your good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Please read Mark 16:15-18.

**
If we don't witness to someone about Christ when we see them everyday, then yes God will judge us for that. If they die and go to hell and we never spoke to them about Christ their blood is on our hands.**

Rebecca, remember when St. Paul and his companion wanted to go somewhere to witness to the people there, the Spirit of God did not lead him to do so, and eventually led them elsewhere?

Just because you THINK you should witness to someone doesn't mean that God wants YOU to do so.
---Jack on 10/20/06

No. Not necessarily. God expects you to love that person as He would love them. He wants you to do what HE tells you to do. You cannot always rush into these things. Your responsibility is to BE a Christian and be PREPARED to answer questions. Do your job well too. If you are not sure, don't do it. God will put the right words in your mouth at the right time. Witness to them and if necessary, use words.

God does have designs to our days, but if were not walking in the Spirit we miss it or mess it up. God doesn't hold it against you, but it's another day where you added nothing to the Heavenly storehouse of rewards.

God loves the days where you praise him before the feet hit the floor.
