Does the Bible talk about Dinosaurs. It's odd that people ask this question about this type of animal in particular. Why don't they ask "does the Bible talk about the DODO Bird."The Bible in the facts of Noah says all the animals that fly in the air and creapeth along the ground. It never specifies a type. So why do we ask about the Dinosaurs? Why do we assume that all the animals that we see in the silly cartoons of the ark, the present day animals are the only ones that were on the ark?

Jared. There is historical proof of Dinosaurs living with man. First the name dinosaur was not invented until the early 1800's. Before that was the term Dragon. There are these stones called, I think, the INKA stones. The have lots of seens carved into them. Some of people doing brain surgury. Some of animals that look just like Brontasurus and trysearatops along side of people. These stones are 3 thousand years old.

Dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, the theory about a metior is still a theory, the fossil records just stops. However, some still are to be found today, if you go to an office of the California DMV you will see some dinosaurs, and some still roam the wilds of congress, where they are known today as 'liberal democrats.'

God created the animals first, before man. A common mistake we make is the time issue. The day (24 hrs), day of a man, (his lifetime), heavenly day, (1000 years), Gods day ????? (millions of years? Longer?) Plenty of time for dinosaurs to come and go.

Dinosaur or dinosaur like creatures are described in Job chapters 40 & 41.
---Kay on 4/25/07

Oke - I believe that it would necessarily have to. My understanding of the world environment before the flood is that they would not have been able to survive after the flood.

Gen 7: 21: "And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:"

Could "beast" here have included dinosaurs?
---Okebaram on 11/5/06

Kay: Genesis 1:2 begins with the earth void and without form. Isaiah 45:18 tell us the exact opposite. What happened in between? Job 38:7 tells us we "all" shouted for joy in Fathers' presence. All of us, all his children, were here on this earth in an age(eon) before the flood of noe. Recall the division satans' sin caused. 1/3 followed satan. 2/3 stood with Father. Genesis 9:11-13 Father tells us He will not destroy again with a flood. Archaeology proves the first earth age.

"The verse in Peter certainly speaks of a time befor Noah and the re-fashioning of the Earth for hummanity."

Of course there was time before Noah, but there wasn't a global flood that destroyed the Earth prior to Noah. I just cannot see how you are coming up with this.
---Kay on 11/4/06

Robert, I completely agree with you. The verse in Peter certainly speaks of a time befor Noah and the re-fashioning of the Earth for hummanity. When comparing the words in Genisis that the Spirit of God was brooding over the waters of the earth we see that the flood spoke of in Peter led to these waters in Genesis. Also God only created something out of nothing in the first verese in Genesis chapter one after that all words used are fashioned or formed.

"Scholars argue Job is older than Genesis. Job speaks there was an age before Genesis."

Robert, what scholars mean is that the book of Job was written before Moses wrote the BOOK of Genesis. They aren't saying that the book of Job was written prior to the events recorded in Genesis, if thats what you were trying to get across.
---Kay on 11/3/06

"Job 1:6 speaks of a time that satan and the sons of God knew each other."

In Job 1:6 the sons of God refers to angels (notice that Satan was with them while they stood before God).

"Please note IIPeter 3:5-7. Here we are told that there was a flood before Noah."

I didn't see where it states that there was a flood prior to Noah. What translation are you using?
---Kay on 11/3/06

"THIS IS NOT A HIPPOPOTAMUS."

Robert, I agree. I've never seen a hippo with a tail like a cedar.
---Kay on 11/3/06

What animal's tail sways like a cedar? (has anyone ever seen how big a cedars is?) A brontosourus? What other animal is of a montrous size, power and appearance (behemoth)? Many dinosours as shown by the size of their bones in the museums. How many large animals can you lay your hand on, struggle and never forget that struggle?

By the way, God was using this animal to compare to His streghth.
---Steveng on 11/2/06

Job 41: 17&20 tell us the dinosaur had a tail as long as a cedar of Lebanon and ate off the mountain tops. THIS IS NOT A HIPPOPOTAMUS. Scholars argue Job is older than Genesis. Job speaks there was an age before Genesis. Job 1:6 speaks of a time that satan and the sons of God knew each other. Please note IIPeter 3:5-7. Here we are told that there was a flood before Noah. Father's Word is full of golden nuggets. Searching the scriptures is always rewarding. Discussion and debate strengthes our Faith.

Just so everyone knows I was joking with my last blog here. I believe that the Dinosaurs did roam the earth, and that nearly all of them died in the flood (which is why the dino Grave yards have so many all together in what people considered low lands in dino time.) I think that they existed into the middle ages because of the dragon story's (or atleast into western civil history) But there is no proof of that.

Jared, I don't believe that God would have done that. I do not think that He would deliberately mislead us, and, you've got to admit that quite a few people who believe in dinosaurs don't give God any breathing space. What I'm trying to say is that much of the dinosaur debate has taken man's mind off God, and onto other things, when our focus should instead be on God.
---laure5759 on 11/2/06

maybe God just made a bunch of bones and put them in the ground so we could find them and have weird debates about evolution and creationism so God could have a sitcom in Heaven.
---Jared on 11/2/06

**
Dinosaur or dinosaur like creatures are described in Job chapters 40 & 41.**

Maybe, but maybe not.
---Jack on 11/2/06

We usually need to check what the Bible says, but in this case, the evidence is before our eyes. Dinosaurs existed. How or why, we do not know. Personally I believe some exist still today - snakes, crocodiles, Komodo Dragons, Lizards, Chameleons. These are all descendents of the dinosaurs.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

<<(??I wonder how much time passed between here??)>>

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

<<(??Or Here??)>>

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
---Ryan on 11/1/06

Dinosaurs are not talked about in the Word of God.
