Phobia Of Dentists
I have a terrible phobia of dentists. I now have two abscess teeth, requiring two root canals this Monday. Please pray for me. Would like to know if anyone can sympathize with my phobia?

Yes,,,I can. I also need to visit my dentist, soon. Have put it off for over a year but it is a necessary evil. Bad teeth in one's mouth can affect your overall health. Breath smells also. Ugh!!! Ask others to pray with and for you. Go in the name of the Lord. He will be with you.

A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down! Today's the day. Let us know how you handled the dentist. :-]
Did they give you a new toothbrush? (Makes you feel better about the $1600.00 you had to spend).

Listen to what Madison is saying! My dentist did that for me too! It helped SO much. To hear music instead of that drill does wonders. The dentist will probably give you a shot to numb all pain, it's the sound of the drill that is scary. Bring head phones!

One thing that helped me overcome my fear was to play headphones with soothing music while I was in the chair. Now, I have a dentist that gives nitrous oxide to patients who request it.

franc, I pray that the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus Our Lord. Have them numb you or give you laughing gas. You won't even know they're working on you. I will be praying for you.

Franc, I will pray for you. You are doing better then me. When my teeth were sore I never even made it to the dentist, I cry even now thinking about having to go. Lord, we know fear is not of You, but sometimes it is hard to deal with things like this. Please wrap franc in your arms Lord let Him feel your presence. Ease his mind Lord about going to have this work done, give him peace Lord. And Lord please gulde the dentists hand Lord as he works on Franc, and let no pain be involved whatsoever. Amen

I totally sympathize with you! I have had fear of the dentist since childhood. I will pray for you. Try to imagine Jesus sitting there with you, holding your hand. He IS with us always.
