Is God Real

Is God real? That is my question. I've had a hard life all my life and looked to God for help, but all He did was make it worse. Think about that when your at church yawning because the preacher is preaching of something you've heard more than once.

You have had a hard life? Well, the bible says that those who sinned much love much. I am not accussing you of sinning, but usually those that have had it the hardest, God uses in the most powerful ways. Hopefully someday you will look back at these years healed, blessed and even thankful for you trials! Keep praying. 1 cor 2:9

Is Jessica real? Did Jessica post this blog, because a Jessica was personally asked more than once to obey my Commands, says the Lord God, but instead she just continued with her own way. So is there a Jessica?
---Eloy on 2/16/08

God is real, whether you're thinking about Him or not.

The dulling effect of religious, churchy routines - empty preaching.

Singing campfire ditties that are pawned off as worship.

I want a Lion's share of Truth, do you?

Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

The one constant in our lives is God.

Alarm clocks are ringing all over the world.

Are you going to hit the snooze button and doze back off?

Joel 3:9 Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men. Let all the men become mighty men of war.

Devil this is it. No more lukewarm church services as a license to wreak havoc on our lives. The devil lies about our victory and he lies about what will defeat you.
Let the devil's lies stop with you and never give him the edge over you again!
---Cindy on 2/15/08

God is Real. God is Alive.

David arrived at the battlefield as a shepherd boy, but when he heard that devil, Goliath, David woke up!

There is no negotiating with evil or the devil's lies. The devil's lies will not back down because you deny their existence.

Swords are not given to doubleminded soldiers. David arrived as a shepherd boy but he left as one of God's kings. A mighty warrior. Roaring.

If you are still out there, upon answering these questions, I will show you that God is WITHIN YOU this entire time. God is closer to you than you think. I promise not to even mention anything about the Bible.

David - Have you ever thought of asking God to reveal Himself to you if He is real?
---Helen_5378 on 12/25/06

For many years I had to call myself an atheist, but only because I wasn't sure about the existance of god. When I was 18 I read the bible, I hated it, didn't make sense and made me sick. I was confused for a long time. Today I realised, god doesn't exsist, to worship any kind of god is wrong. The bible is laughable, writen by 1000's of people at different times. I'm not a Satanist but I do believe that you are your own god, and you should worship yourself more than others.

Jessica, Jesus Christ cares about you more than you could ever know, and he wants to have a right and deep relationship with you, if you will only surrender, and pour out your heart and soul to him. He knows you Jessica, and every single thing that you have gone through, and where you are right now. Let him have his perfect way with your life, and he will bless you. Just bow down and talk to him in prayer, and give your burdens to the Lord, for he cares for you. In Jesus I pray for you Jessica. Amen.

Christian: 1) Grace, what you wrote in part 1 of your response is a question many have had...however, we are to praise Him in ALL things, whether or not we percieve those things as good or bad. To praise Him does not mean that we believe that he is responsible for bad things such as sin, but rather that He is in control of all things and allows everything for a reason. We may not understand, but He knows best.

That's a good answer Christina, thank you. It has made me look at it differently.

Jessica, If you think God has promised that all Believers are supposed to have a 'better life' when becoming His, then you're listening to the wrong people! Thousands upon thousands of Christians not only had 'worse things' happen to them as you said, but were tortured and EXECUTED for their belief in Him! There have always been FALSE TEACHERS and greedy hypocrites in many churches; I pray that you'll encounter some real Believers who may help you understand God's love personally.

1) Jessica, you ask if God is real and at the same time fault Him for making things worse. It appears you do believe there's a God, however your view of God and His character is more the issue. The One True God is loving and Good and His heart is for love, a love so great that He died on a cross and took the penalty of OUR sin in our place.
---Christina on 12/2/06

2) Remember, the wages of sin is death and we are all sinners and all deserve death. it is only By Jesus Christ that we are freed from the law of sin and death and are given freely eternal life. What a wonderful savior, what a wonderful God! I pray that you would come to know the fullness of His love. Bless you.
---Christina on 12/2/06

2) His ways are higher then our ways and His thoughts are higher then our thoughts. As high as the heavens are above the earth so are His ways higher then ours and His thoughts higher then ours. We do not see all things as God does, we see only in part and so we need to simply trust and obey regardless of how we see or understand things. Trust that He knows best, trust that His heart is for us and not against us, trust that He has a plan. A way seems right to a man but the way thereof is death.

Jessica: Faith in God comes by hearing the word of God "more than once." If you'll allow, the word of God will come alive in your heart & enable you to successfully navigate thru the ups & downs of this life. Yes, God is very real! Have faith in Him. Give Him a real hearing & you'll see for yourself. God bless!

Let's see. Everything that ever went wrong in your life is God's fault? Is any of it your own fault? God is definitely real through the bad times as well as the good times. If you never had any bad times, you would never grow. You will be a stronger person after this if you let God have control of your life.
---Susie on 11/29/06

Part One - I've often wondered why it is that we are suppose to praise God for all the good things that happen in our lives and give him the credit for those - but we are never suppose to blame him for the bad things - those we get to take credit for. Doesn't that seem unfair to you?

Part two - I'm not going to say your hard life is your fault. We don't always deserve the things that happen to us. But God can make good things happen out of bad situations. God does not give us life on a silver platter though - he gives us the tools to make our lives good. We have to determine which tools to pick up and how to use them and who to surround outselves with. Especially who we choose to surround ourselves with - because everyone has free will; we want to choose our companions wisely.

greetings.for jessica.Do you think the believing children of God has an easy life to live?Do you think we are given extra attention?Do you think God discourages us to find comfort elsewhere?Does God complicate your life when the life in the spirit is what we seek and not the life of mortal living albeit this life we are to devote our loyalty to him?You "know God" is real as the words you are reading before you.Your slumber because no man takes the place of the spirit of truth

Jessica: God is telling you something. He's telling you that you are walking down the wrong path. Remember that God chastises those he loves very much. People are looking to you for love. Give it to them. How? Feed the homeless, clothe them, heal their wounds, offer them shelter. If you truly put people first and you sacrifice yourself to do it, then you will find what you are searching for - God.
---Steveng on 11/28/06

If God never did one more thing for or to us for the good, He has already done more than we could ever fully thank Him for. When you get a view of what it is He really did in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you will never be the same. I agree with the previous response that you talk to Him out of your heart and ask Him to reveal Himself to you in a way that you can receive right now.

Though the fig tree may not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines;
though the labor of the olive may fail,
and the fields yield no food;
though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
and there be no herd in the stalls--
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer's feet,
and He will make me to walk on my high places.

Don't ever underestimate the value of praise in every circumstance. The God of the universe lives inside of you and what He had to do to make that possible is a love greater than you are comprehending right now. Embrace His grace and endure hardship like a good soldier. Life is not fair but God is faithful.
---Linda6563 on 11/28/06

Jessica, I challenge you to "Taste and see that the Lord is good." Talk to God from your heart, not your anger and don't blame him for things in your life that have gotten worse. Get to know God. GOD IS LOVE. Jesus said the thief (satan) cometh to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came to give YOU life, and life abundantly. Talk to God from your heart, ask Him to show you Himself. Ask him to bless you in a special way, and don't blame Him anymore, He doesn't like that.

God is real, even though you can't see Him - just like the wind, you can't see it, but you see its effects. You reap what you sow -sow negative, reap negative, sow positive, reap positive. I know, I was once the same way, but I changed my attitude, and that changed my life for the better. Give God all of you, and He will make you new. Like the saying says: "I was sad that I had no shoes, until I saw someone that had no feet", life is always worse for someone else.
---Leslie on 11/28/06

God never makes things worse, people do,that leaves the problem with you or people around you. God makes it worse you say,the preacher preaches things you've heard, you're bored, you're good at blaming others for everything you don't like, but it's not them, take a good look at your attitude toward life, then you will find the problem there. We get out of life what we put into it,receive what we give. Negative outlooks only begat negative outcomes in life. Work on changing you to line up with God's Word.

We can prove: Jesus was alive; Jesus was crucified, spiritual beings DO exists and miracles DO happen!
You will never be able to prove God totally exists, but by Faith!
"Faith is the things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen!"

We can prove without a doubt: Jesus was alive; Jesus was crucified, Spiritual beings DO exists and miracles DO happen!
You will never be able to prove God totally exists! He has made signs for Us to see, to feel, to hope for, but it is still by Faith!

I had heard your story a million times. The problem isn't God. the problem is you. The word never, ever gets old. And if you find it's boring, then the problem lies within you, not the Preacher and not God. If you think God isn't real, then why bother asking him for help? He is real, you just don't give him time to help you because maybe your whinning and complaining too much for you to hear him. Don't blame God for the problems you have and chances are, you created some of the problems yourself.
---Rebecca_D on 11/28/06

God must be real because you have just blamed him for making your life worse. Many people had a hard life. Even Jesus. And the apostles ended up losing their life. So, you don't really have it so bad after all do you? And it's not the God of heaven who makes your life worse. It's the god of this world that is doing that. It's time for you to pick yourself out of your dustpile and smell the roses. Life is too short to act like this. I'm pulling for you.
