Shroud Of Torin

I remember as a kid reading about the Shroud of Torin and how it is displayed in a museum. However it is so vague I don't remember much about it. Does anyone have good credible information on it?

We can google a majority of blog topics, so why blog at all? If we only asked what can't be found on the net, we would not have much variety.

First of all it is spelled "Turin." Secondly, you can do a Google search on it.

the shroud has encouraged many people in their faith. Maybe it is not real but it has brought many to faith. My brother-in-laws uncle has come to christ becaue of it. it may prove wrong but by the time people hear that usually their faith has deepened enough they don't need to shroud to keep their faith in tact.

**it is a fake. Bible says Jesus was wrapped w/ 2 pieces of cloth, not one like the s o t. p.s.--leonardo da vinci created it, it's his face on the shroud. check it out**

The image on the Shroud shows that a second cloth was wrapped as a chinband under the jaw and over the head.

And it's really doubtful if the face is that of Leonardo.

Some denominations can only survive by regularly producing miraculous proofs of Jesus (and Mary). This 'shroud' is just one example as are the face of Jesus in a cut tomato, a pool of spilt milk and apparitions of Mary in a distant shadow or the folds in your bed-sheets etc. They are sent to mislead gullible people.

*Jesus asks where are you?*

I gave up on trying to crack that case years ago. lol

I don't think it can ever be proved either way, personally. It's interesting though.

I can tell you haven't been following it too closely. The alleged second cloth (the Sudarium) is in Spain.

This Shroud of Torin can not change your spiritual life in Jesus whether is fake or not, just keep your faith in Jesus to have eternal life

The shroud is hotly debated because some believe the carbon dating was botched.

One side says it's a painted masterpiece, the other says it's the burial cloth of Christ, what both arguments have in common is that neither present enough evidence to leave the other without a doubt.

Those who believe it could be his burial cloth have already filled the gap of faith on the right level and the seekers remain in the middle of the two.

Jesus asks where are you?

The Shroud of Turin (Torino in Italian) isn't displayed anywhere. It is kept in a special case in the Cathedral of ST. John the Baptist in Turin, and has not been exhibited since 1978.

Shroud of Turin? Thats just it. A Shroud of non existence belief. The work of the devil I would say. Remember the Bible says there will be false christs etc...

Good choice Matthew. Your spirit leads you correctly to leave it alone.

I went and looked up information about it even after I posted this question. I was just hoping maybe someone knew some information that I can't access. Doesn't matter now because after visiting the sites I got a real bad feeling that I should leave it alone. I'm sure it was the Holy Spirit. So I'm no longer interested in it's origin.
