Denominations are man made so disagreements.
Many try to follow the gospel in Matt-John as key to understanding the Bible.
These books are spiritual truths, but it's Pauls gospel that we understand all things (On this side of the Cross. 2 Tim 2:7)

The gospel Christ gave to Paul is missing from Matt-John, and is called a mystery gospel (Rom 16:25, Eph 6:19).

Instead of trying to pattern ourselves after the Lords earthly ministry passed on to the twelve apostles to Israel, we should start with Christ crucified and pattern our ministry after the heavenly message of the apostle of the Gentiles (Rom 11:13).
Focusing on Paul's gospel puts us in position to grow in grace as did Paul, according to his gospel: (1 Cor 15:10)

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever,

17 Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.-----

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

It doesn't get any clearer than this.

\\Me self being in the Acts Church of The Living God. Which are few, Mat.7 v 14.\\

Lawrence, I know you get a nice warm feeling believing yourself to be on a higher spiritual level than everyone else here. If it makes you happy to think that, why, you just go right ahead.

Don't forget to believe in the flat earth and Tooth Fairy while you are at it.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 3/20/15

Lawrence:

What do you make of this scripture:

Mark 13:32:
"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father."

This means the Father knows the day or hour, but Jesus did not. Thus, Jesus is NOT the Father.

It's nice that you like the book of Acts, but you can't do the bible justice unless you accept ALL of it, including those that say things you may not like.

Rick
To answer your question, we would all be dead by now if God was not held back by his promises.

The only thing keeping God from destroying his creation, are these promises, promises he must keep because he is Holy, and therefore not a liar.

I Thank God He saved from the Lies, Deceiving Mess of the 3 persons heresy godhead religion in Rev.17 vs 4 5 6 pushing to John 10 v 1, Mat.7 v 13.

Lawrence:

We are saved by believing that Jesus died for our sins, and God raised him from the dead. Period. If you read any of the requirements for salvation in the New Testament, NONE of them require us to believe anything specific about WHAT Jesus what. It matters little whether he was one with but different from the Father (trinitarian), one with and the same as the father (oneness), or even a lesser created being (Jehovah's witnesses) who nevertheless had the full power of the godhead.

Whichever one believes should not affect how one lives one life, nor does it impact one's salvation, as described in the scriptures. You are choking on gnats. Your obsession with this one issue at the exclusion of all else is unhealthy.
---StrongAxe on 3/19/15

Lawerence the hypocritical Phairsees thought the same thing. The five foolish virgins the same. The Goats thought they did many wonderful works for GOD believe as you do. Matthew 25.

None however loved others and loved GOD. They like you were all about self.

Please read the Bible and pray.

Lawrence:

You keep mentioning: The Acts Church of The Living God

Most churches would claim to be descendent from the church in Acts. Some would be right, many would be wrong. I would guess that those who spend the most time talking about it are the ones most likely to fall short (have you ever heard the phrase, "The lady doth protest too much"?)

Also, why do you keep resurrecting these old blogs that have been dead for 7 years? Nobody who has posted on them before is paying attention, and most of them aren't even on this site anymore.

No

The Acts Church of The Living God, some are getting to be to worldly. Satans devices of worldly pleasures etc to get their minds off of God. People go to games whoop n holler scream, & God Is Not on their minds what so ever. God is Not for it, God is Not in it. But Is of the devil.
---Lawrence on 3/18/15

God's church has nothing to do with anything you named, the church that he sees are selected people among many he's called, and they come from many backgrounds.

The Holy Spirit is with this bunch and he knows them because the Spirit cries out to him from within them all the day long.

These chosen ones have a heart that agrees with God's and they are willing to be true to that love even when it means self sacrifice.

God adores HIS church.
---Pharisee on 5/8/08

No God is not happy with the church today. Alot if not all churches are not in order. In order for God to move in the people, they have to be Holy Ghost filled and their church in order. God won't bless a mess.

If those are the things He looks at then he's no better than us. Seriously, Rick, we're valuable not because we have everything just perfect but because of the price that was paid for us. This is what makes us,the bride, beautiful.

Some New Testament churches are right with God, but many are not. If you have unholy leaders leading the parishoners, then the blind are leading the blind, and both will fall into the ditch; but if you have holy leaders leading the parishoners, then the seeing are leadding the seeing, and both will enter into glory and Paradise.

Christian diversity proves that Satan has overcome the entire movement. There is no clean place. All are out of the way. Google vote for zion to find my site where I have been engaged in this battle against my own Church. The signs of the times include the Druid Pagan steeple atop all Christian Churches.

Nana- there's a difference in repenting of sin and having victory over it. Repentance doesnt give victory over sin, Only faith in the fact that Jesus has already paid for your victory on the cross actually brings the victory. Repentance is definately a step in the right direction though. But, its faith that causes the Holy Spirit to work inside of you to bring victory over sin. Repentance is acknowleding your sin and your need to turn from it. The blood of Jesus is what makes the turning away possible

Jeremiah 18:8: "If that nation, against whom
I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I
will repent of the evil that I thought to do
unto them." It does not say there that God
will turn people from their evil but rather
that it behooves them to do it for themselves.

John - ("God helps those who help themselves") -- That is nowhere to be found in Scripture. Jesus came to save those who cannot help themselves. If you think you can help yourself, then you don't need God.
---Helen_5378 on 12/28/06

Craige - I just love the truth in your Blogs. What you say is correct. When I was diagnosed with Emphysema I came home and cried my heart out to Jesus and told Him I couldn't stop smoking and that He would have to do something. He got me to confess it as sin, and I was immediately free from the addiction and bondage.

John- I know overweight people, who couldn't stop eating no matter how hard they tried. They knew they could do things to help deal with it, but couldn't do those things on a regular basis, no matter how hard they tried. The problem is sin, and, creating man made laws to deal with a spiritual problem did not help. It was only when they cried out to God for the ability, that the ability came. They asked the Lord to take away the overwhelming desire to eat and the Holy Spirit went to wotk IN them. Cont...

Jonh- When the Holy Spirit went to work on the inside by dealing with the sin nature within them, it started to show up on the outside. Just because a person knows they need to lose weight doesnt neccisarily mean that they can. It' like telling a drug addict that they need to quit using drugs. They already Know that. They just arent able. "for to will is present within me, but how to perform it I find not." Rom.7:18
---craige on 12/27/06

Im amazed at how many Christians I know who claim to be free from the law, but when they have a spiritual problem they begin to make a list of rules to live by, to keep it from happening again. Its still living under law- even if its laws made up by you. People sin because of spritual problems, and a list of rules cant help change them from the inside- only the Holy Spirit can do that. If he's allowed to fix the problem at its source, you wont need your religeous regimines.
---craige on 12/27/06

Craig, are we more practical in our thinking than Jesus?...If an obese person voices the desire to lose weight, yet does nothing to attain weight loss e.g. eat healthy and excercise after being "helped" by her dr., can the dr rescue her from herself? No. Jesus had little patience for those who would not listen and let them learn from their ignorance and defiance. Try resorting to a little common sense instead of finding a quote in scripture to get you off the hook.

That statement as such is not found in the Scriptures
but I infer it is true. See Matthew 25.
May also mention Psalms 37:3 and 2 Thessalonians 3.
We help ourselves by doing the things that are pleasing
to God and our fellow man in love. There are some things
that God requires of us; which things we must do for he
did not state he will do them for us.

Mark 8: 34: "And when he had called the people unto him
with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will
come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross,
and follow me." Even when Jesus calls the "heavy laden"
to offer them rest, he does not offer to carry their load
but rather offers a trade ( Matt 11:28-30).

Can somebody show me the scripture that says "God helps those who help themselves". My understanding of the word is God helps those who cant help themselves. That was the whole reason Christ came.
---craige on 12/26/06

No, I for one do not conceive that Jesus is happy with the Church, today. A large edifice (bldg) costing in the millions and houseing gyms, indoor-skating rinks, etc., is geared to be a club, not a church! The Bible plainly states Jesus is against it. Money talks -- louder than Jesus I'm afraid -- for now!

Jack - ("You can change and improve yourself only") -- How do you think you might be able to do that? That is what false teachers of the false self-help/psychology "gospel" teach. Only the Lord can change me, of that I am absolutely certain. Jesus died on the Cross so that He could mould me into something beautiful.
---Helen_5378 on 12/23/06

Personally, I think that if Christ were to live in today's time, He would be angry. He would probably tell the church of today what is what like He did with the Pharasis (Jewish prists of the day).
---Leslie on 12/22/06

The Church is the "Body of Christ". Jesus is Head of the Church and we are His members. I believe He is extremely Happy with those who belong to Him, those who are In Christ and Christ is In them. Denominations and earthly institutions have absolutely nothing to do with it.

The fact that he hasn't destroyed us all shows his emense love and patience with the "church" of today. Men (the species which includes both male and female) constantly put their views, agendas, before the word of GOD. I believe he thinks - if I wait alittle longer more will come to see the truth and light. I'll give them every chance but it does hurt me (GOD)so. Do you realize you actually hurt GOD with your pettiness and willfulness.

God was not happy with the Church in the New/OLd Testement and Paul made recommendations to bring the churches in line with Gods will. On that note, No God is not happy with the ''Church'' Collectively today. Why because as Christians we don't even remotely join in union to the word or do we do what the word says we should do. So I agree with Pharisse it is down to those that know their God and work according to his will.

I think the Heavenly Father is pleased with the love and devotion that He receives from "the church" today. The Bible says that the Lord loves those who diligently seek Him. So, he is pleased with those who are trying to put their lives where they think He wants them.
---Susie on 12/2/06

Read the letters to the 7 churches. God went from inside with His people, with praises for their loyalty all the way to today on the outside with the "church" believing they have it all... I see us in the Laodicean church age today. (MY thoughts).

I believe God is most happy about those who are Christians and have their beliefs based on guidance of the Holy Spirit through Bible study rather some man or woman on a pulpit. I say worry only about being a Christian first. I can't go to Catholic church because their beliefs contradict the Bible. The same goes for most Christian denominations. I am only happiest going to a non-denominational Chruch where only Christians are around me. I truly believe that is what God intended.

I don't think anyone has feet big enough to wear God's shoes. Everything you have described is healthy. When everyone starts falling for the lie, the One World Church, that's when the real trouble will be here. Denominations and divisions of doctrine have been with us for at least 2000 years. I like the hard-headed knotheads here. Luke-warm, mush-mouth, milk-toast, people-pleasing....is not for me.

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him." (2 Chronicles 16:9 Amplified Bible)

God is looking for an opportunity to bless us! He understands our limitations (Psalm 103:13-18), He knows we are utterly dependant on Him, despite our arrogance and stubborn ways. He knows we will never be "good enough" for Him and yet He loves us and loves to bless us!

I know a church where no one has been saved in over 20 years, maybe never I only have a reliable record for the past 20 years.
