How Does God Speak To You

God chooses the way He speaks to people most of the times. He has spoken to me, in dream(s), in audible(to me only) voice while not sleeping, in the inner mind, through other persons who did not know before-hand what i needed from God or did not know me before, in the word of God-the Holy Bible, in signs etc. Note also that Gideon asked for a specific sign and God responded according to his specific demand Judges6: 36-40. |

Whilst God speaks to me though his written word, God also speaks very directly to me through my emotions. At times, almost every few days, when I hear or experience the plight of poor or agrieved people, or when I hear some foundational "truth", it seems my soul or spirit responds in some way, and this response appears to manifest as a deep resonance in my chest, an almost crushing but upwelling of emotion that to me feels like ... Yes, this is God talking to me. I would describe it as a heart shudder. Thanks God, for you are always near. |

i feel that god speaks to me through everything that i experience even what people say. What people do has both good and bad effects. The good effects i call the power of god/love and the bad is given to the devil. So even if people don't realize it god is speaking or acting through them.. The only thing i have to do is only listen to god and not the devil.All glory to GOD praise his name forever, and thank Jesus for spending his life for the love of all he possibly could. I hope i can share my love to as many as he. |

Jesus speaks to me through His Word, through other believers, through music, but the most awsome is when the Holy Spirit brings a thought to mind, either while I'm praying, sometimes while sleeping, and definately while I'm awake. I've heard the Lord speak loudly before, but that was when I first became a believer. The more I fast, the louder He gets in my spirit. The thoughts that He gives me begin to get so loud that they are almost audible, but usually His voice is that still small voice inside. It's hard to explain it to someone who's never experienced the voice of the Holy Spirit. |

For me it is through the mind. The thought will be very clear and distinct. Many times I question whether my mind is fooling me are not, then in my imputed thoughts will be a resounding example as to why it has to be from God. |

God doesn't spea directly to me- or at least he hasn't. I belive in and see god in the presence of life and matter. In people. While it is no feat to create life using existing apparatus, how does the person form? No answers but god. Having decided on a dualist philosophy of life which satisfies my observations, I can't help but observe god constantly. Its hard to make sense of what god wants the bible to mean at times- if anything. But life exists. Life is real. And because of that, I know god is real. |

God's favorite way it seems of speaking to me is throigh my intellect. Also, circumstances. I have had on occasions, visions of different nature and dreams. Often I pray about something and pay attention to what's going on inside of me. Like a yes or a no answer. The more that you converse with God the easier it becomes in knowing if it's God or something else. Perhaps you. On rare occasions I may actually hear His voice. I simply can not make it without God's counseling. |

I've had s=situations where God spoke to me using Billboards on the Hiway. (I used to drive a truck) A good example of this was i saw one saying "the wolves are coming" The next one said see the wolves. Anything from a situation, something you see, or hear, oor feel, and even the "voice in my head..." |

2) ...Him to be communicating with us and don't keep Him in a box, expecting Him to speak in only one way. He actually spoke to me once through a statement that Pres. Bush made, it totally spoke directly to my situation!!! Another time I was struggling with a situation, having a hard time trusting God to work it out and a car pulled out in front of me and the license plate said "RESTNHM"...what peace that brought to my spirit and the situation did work out perfectly! |

1) God speaks to me in so many ways...mostly I just "know" things and they prove to be true or He will drop something about someone or about a situation in my spirit. He shows me spirits in people, when the demonic is operating. He speaks to me in dreams, through various things such as license plates, movies, people...everything and anything as well as circumstances. Absolutely amazing! I think God is ALWAYS speaking to us, but we need to be tuned in to listen and always be expecting... |

The quickest and best way is through His Holy Word, the bible. It was left here as a guide or map for Christians to follow. This is why study and bible reading is so important to Christians. This is where our direction and strength comes from. Along with much prayer and disciplines. |

I have had many questions answered during Mass. The readings are preselected, but sometimes it seems that God draws my attention to them even more when I need to hear them. Other times it seems that God smiles at me through the sunshine. The sun was always there, but when I am blue or overly serious about a problem, He draws my attention with an extra-bright sun shining in my face, and I know that it is Him because I feel it in my heart. |

Simeon, one night, while drowning in my tears (personal problems), I prayed and asked God for help. Soon afterwards, my cat walked into the room, jumped up onto my dresser (something he has never done in all the 13 years that I've had him), knocked something off, jumped back down and then left the room. What he knocked off my dresser was a small picture with Proverbs 3:5 written on it. I believe God spoke to me and used my cat to communicate the message. Does that sound too corny? |

I think God speaks to us in many ways. He usually speaks to me thru the Bible, a passage, songs, even dreams. He has used people to encourage me, scold me and make me think. In the quiet time of prayer when God speaks deep to that inner "place" we all have, our spirit man. |

God speaks to me through people. This really happened to me. I was considering helping out with the Senior Hi Youth group. Was praying on it, and thinking on it. The girl that was heading up the youth group, came up to me one Sunday after church and said: How would you like to help with Youth group? I took it as God answering my question. God is in constant communication with you. The only reason that you may not hear him is because you are not listening. You have the power to regulate that communion, simply by choosing to listen or choosing not to. He speaks with feelings, thoughts, images, and words. Words are the worst for communicating because they are easily misinterpreted. Whatever way you communicate is the way that god will speak to you, after all you are who he wants to speak to. When I ask God questions, I then go to His word and wait on Him to illuminate a scripture to me. If it's something He wants to convey to me, he uses people to speak into my life, he's used a donkey (just kidding), He also speaks to me through the Holy Spirit that dwells in me. He quickens me alot through His spirit and it always lines up with what is in His word. |

The Holy Spirit is actively seeking to communicate with us. Some only believe the written word. Others prophets, others dreams, others words of knowledge and wisdom, others through audible voice. These are all legitimate and we should open ourselves to all so the Holy Spirit is not quenched. |

God speaks in words to me,in the mind of my spirit,at other times it is just a knowing,or feeling, I need to do something or pray for a particular person whose name keeps coming to me,at times I see pictures in the mind of things to happen. The anointing of the HG often comes upon me to prompt me to pray. God only speaks to Mom with feelings to pray about a thing. Everyone is different and must learn to recognize God's voice in whatever way He speaks to them. |
