John14:2-3 Jesus said he would go prepare a place then come back & get us. Rev 20:11-13, Jesus said we will all be judged, then we that are in the book of life will enter heaven.

None of that has happened so HOW can anyone be in heaven ??

Mima,You quote outside the 4Gospels. Matt28:19 TheGreat Commission= Go..baptisizing them.. John3:5No one can enter heaven unless he has been bornagain of water and the Holy Spirit. But if Jesus' words are not enough= Acts2:38 Peterexplained what happens at baptism. Act22:16 Rise & be baptized..1Peter 3:21 Baptism.. savesyou..Act22:16,Rom6:3-4,Col 2:11-12 all speak- baptism for salvation. Only one or two quotes for-a Formula of words to obtain Salvation. TheBible is clear-Baptism is needed for Salvation.

Some try to get into heaven on their own righteousness and so do not recognize Jesus as their Savior, and some say that since they are saved then they can go on sinning. I say that which Paul says is correct. We receive a new Spirit, and by the Holy Spirit , grace to go ahead without sinning so much. But even if we try, we can never be perfect and always need Jesus to save us. Priests and confessions cannot wipe the sleight clean IMHO. And when facing death we may not be able to confess.

As Jesus sees what is in our hearts, he knows whether we call on him because we really recognize our sinfulness and need of a Savior, or whether we call on him 'just in case he exists' at the end of our lives, and to attempt to 'cancel out' a life spent in disobedience. So he will decide whether to say 'Away from me you who do evil' or 'Come into The Kingdom of Heaven'. The day of salvation is Today, all who hear and turn their backs on Jesus - note well - clearly some people he does not want.

Mima::I write not to criticise or condemn but show you the error of your statement. We are continuously making some error against whilst also acknowledging Jesus as God & saviour. But does this absolve us from the error? Now if we happen to die in this state of error, WHERE do we go.You would say Heaven!but you know if you are in sin you cannot enter Heaven.WHY did God call us to perfection.?You cite one part of the equation what about Gods will as in the Our Father.

Jesus chooses who he will bestow the gift of grace, and the repentance that comes with grace, upon. Some people are counterfeits, or they 'try it on' to see if God can be fooled. The Bible tells us God will not be mocked. They have the Bible, the prophets, Jesus, and they have computers, all are warning Christians and unbelievers, reject them at your peril.

Exactly how does this statement from Nicole,"Holly, Emcee is correct. Jesus said everyone who calls his name willnot enter the kingdom of heaven.Matt7:21-23" agree with this statement made three times in the Scriptures. We'll take one Romans 10:13,
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." This Scripture also is in Acts 2:21, Joel 2:32 someone must be mistaken here.

Holly, Emcee is correct. Jesus said everyone who calls his name willnot enter the kingdom of heaven.Matt7:21-23 Suggests some were faithful- beinging & ended badly. They stop doing the will of His Father. Works are not Graces. Graces are from Jesus giving to us to do good Works constantly. I beg some of you all to read James2:14-26. Luther wanted James out because of this Chapter. But others told him to leave the New Testament alone. Even Luther knew he could not preach faith alone on solid ground.

Nicole you are a loving caring woman.there are some people who like to be heard and say things they do not really mean.but a word once uttered can NEVER be recalled. It does not antagonise me what they say but strengthens my resolve not to tarnish myTongue.which can be sharp at times. It is said "every idle word a man shall speak He will render an account for it on the day of Judgement"God is the Judge. Man is the accuser.

Holly::Sorry you think I lie but that is Truth"Nothing defiled enters heaven"Its Godsrule. This is where we differ in faith.you believe that since Jesus died on the cross all sins are forgiven.I say not so one must continue to strive for perfection by Following Him. If you die in the state of sinyou will not enter Heaven. Jesus's death on the cross was to open the gates of heaven. Why did he come as a man put on flesh if not to show us the way.
---Emcee on 4/22/08

Emcee, why are people saying because you older that you will see God sooner then younger people. Many people die in their teens all the time. After reading your blogs I know you are ready and assure of God's Mercy. I can't wait to see you in Heaven. Whoever gets there first.
---Nicole on 4/22/08

Holly I don't think it proper that you call Emcee a liar, as he may truly believe what he is saying. He is definitely wrong and should be contradicted.

I am convinced he is plainly contradicted by Romans Ch.7 specifically verses 14 to the end.

Though our sins were forgiven, if we say we are now without any sin then we set ourselves up for a fall.

Yes, God promises salvation and heaven to the obedient. John 10:9+ 14:3+ Matthew 25:34.

Emcee...that is such a lie...and it makes Jesus's death and sacrifice on the cross null and void. No one is perfect and without sin...that's why Jesus died for us,

2) He is our righteousness and as long as you accept Jesus and His finished work on the cross, you are saved...(meaning you spend all eternity in heaven with Him).

How frightened you must be Emcee...meaning that since you are an older person and your time could be coming soon, you have no idea where you will spend eternity. That's the same hope the pagans also have, that is, no hope at all, yet you proclaim to be a Christian.

Jesus said baptism is needed to go to heaven. Mark16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, whoever does not believe will be condemened. And Jesus also said in John chapter 6, esp in 6:54= Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. I will take Jesus words over anyone any day.
But, in I Peter's letter ch 1:9 .. as you attain the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Notice the words attain and goal.

The Bible says that Jesus Christ IS THE ONLY way to God and Heaven. You cannot get into Heaven unless you accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord & Savior.

"If any man say, I have sinned and perverted that which is right, and it profit me not; He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see light. The eye of the lord is upon all them that fear Him, upon them that hope in his mercy; to deliver their soul from death. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. The Lord will not cast off His people, neither forsake His inheritance. The truth of the Lord endures forever." I have His Word.

The proof of going to Heaven is to live a life which completely lines up with the Word of God, and His Law of love,Love God Mark 12:30 with all heart, mind, soul, and strength and neighbor as self Luke 10:27. If one does that then they can be assured they are heaven bound.

Paul was caught up into a third heaven but it does not tell you what occurred there.

The Holy Spirit is with us to convict us of this and every other truth. Anyone searching scripture for this truth without the Holy Spirit will be confounded. (ask me how I know)

2 Corinthians 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

You can't be saved and not have the conviction that God is with you because it doesn't come from you, but you can be unsaved and by human reason assume this very thing.
---Pharisee on 12/27/06

Althrough the bible God has made promises and he has never broke a promise. I am standing on his word when he says "those who endure till the end, the same shall be saved". Plus my name is written in the palm of his hand. That is his promise.

Darlene 1; in looking at your definition"The proof of going to Heaven is to live a life which completely lines up with the Word of God," we come across the word COMPLETELY may I suggest to you that you have flailed in fulfilling your definition. Many I suggest that your salvation by definition depends upon your behavior. God does not have to hold you you will take care of yourself.
