Yes, an unbeliever is living in the age of Grace, but they are not saved by Grace.

There is the Age of Grace...which is now....

When this age of Grace is over, there will be the age of God's wrath on those who rejected this wonderful Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. 2nd Thessalonians states this clearly.

Put the words..Identification in Jesus death and resurrection life, where the word Grace is. Grace is a Gift, and Yes, Jesus death and resurrection life is a gift to all who receive Him and are crucified with Christ.

Paul is saying this EXACT thing in Galatians 2:20 and 21

I do not make void the Grace of God..look a the verse before ...I am Crucified with Christ..no longer I but Christ in me. True Grace is not cheap..it will cost you your life for the free Gift of HIS eternal Life.

The word "grace" means that God GIVES graciously/generously (definition of "grace" is often misunderstood).

God graciously provided humanity with the "lamb of God" (Jesus).

The Bible says there are two paths in life, right and wrong, and the Bible says CHOOSE which way you want to go: and according to which one you choose, will determine whether you get God's grace or you get God's wrath.

We are saved by grace, THROUGH faith..
We are forgiven by the blood but we must believe to be saved.By HIS life we are saved. (born again)
---duane on 6/10/08

I think everyone is saved by the blood of Jesus because by the shedding of his blood our debts were paid in full. All we have to do is believe that.

we are saved by grace, not by works for if by works then it is not grace - something like that in Galations - wonderful book

as far as for the unbeliever
He makes it to rain on the just and the unjust - I believe many unbelievers are blessed by His church and christians and that God works in their lives. But that you need to recieve Him to go to live with Him.

Exucuch, "The Gospel must be believed by faith" Just a little correction there. Faith in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not another gospel but the one of Christ. And the new born does believe by the gift of faith, and repents by the gift of repentance through the conviction of the Spirit of his sins. Then as you say, the blood covers his sins, and he is under a New Covenant of grace that will last forever. Praise be to God in the Highest. Thank you Exucuch.

the world is lost and under the law, it judges them sinners and condemns to hell, the gospel must be obeyed to be saved. Once you Obey the Gospel and the blood is applied to you then you are under the New testament of grace and all the blessings are yea and amen to you.

Leslie, you have it reverse, You are saved by saving grace, an act of God from the start, then you believe by faith after you are born again. God has to bring you to life first, by His saving grace, once you are alive, He gives you the gift of faith, and repentance. All the work of God. Unbeliever's get grace but no salvation and so no faith. Some unbelievers live better life's then most Christians. But it is all for a time, which will end.

God rains on the just and the unjust. Don't confuse grace w/God's goodness.

3 Among whom also we (believers) all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

1Jn.5:19 And we (believers) know that we are of God, and the whole world (unbelevers) lieth in wickedness.

I believe unbelievers are living under HIS good graces as well.
After all, did HE not die for the unGodly?
While we were still enemies HE died for us.
Thats what I call love

Good Quetion Donna

Born again folks are saved by faith through Grace. The unbeliever is living under God's grace but, they are not saved until the become born again.

(i)We are saved by the grace of God through our faith in Christ Jesus. Remember, Adam condemned the world when Satan deceived Eve and Adam sinned in eating of the tree of knowledge; then we all became debtors to sin & death, and Satan had all power & authority in the earth.

.(ii) But, Christ is now the savior of the world, because he has taken back all authority and power in the earth, and we are no longer debtors unto sin & death, but debtors unto LIFE. The life that resides in Christ Jesus because of his righteousness, resides in all those that repent of their sins and accept him as their Lord & Savior.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Mima - ("...the unbeliever is living under the mercy of God") -- Could you please tell me where that is in Scripture. I ask because all unbelievers are living under the wrath and curse of God.
---Helen_5378 on 1/11/07

For by Grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift of G-d Not of works lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8-9 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Eph. 1:7. No, an unbeliever is not living under G-d's grace. You have to accept the gift of salvation first, after acknowledging that you are a sinner and realizing that the blood of Messiah makes atonement for our sins.

To Sherry: to avail ourselves of the salvation his shedding of blood offers us we must receive him. We can do this by asking him to come into our hearts.----the unbeliever is not living under the grace of God but under the mercy of God there is a big difference.

You must be born again to be saved by grace. Jesus Christ is the only way to God & salvation. You must go through God's birth connal in order to be saved.
