The general condition of local churches varies from church to church. We attend one church on Sunday morning as it is close to a ministry we do on Sunday mornings. That church is definitely reaching a lost and dying world and is on fire for the Lord. On Sunday nights and Wednesday nights we visit other churches in the community where we just moved. Each is different. But, we have found only one that is truly reaching a lost and dying world.

I dont feel He would be pleased. Dont really know. There is so much going on the churches today.Sheep are being sheared and butchered, fleeced. Pastors out of line and teaching all type doctrines. No love among the brethren and leadership. Its a mess. Hard to say. Money rules the churches these days. Very few souls are being saved. Parishioners are discouraged and wounded. Priests are raping and abusing kids. Its one big mess and then some.

He would not like the condition of the local church, For reasons I will not give, because nobody would believe anyways.

I can't speak for all churches. But the people in the church, needs to be in order and going according to the word. these churches that are condoning gays and sin behind the pulpit, are the ones that are going to a harsher judgement, especially the Pastor, because after all, he is the Shepherd, and if his sheep is not in order, God help him and the rest.

I,am inclined to agree with jaer,2 out of 7. less than a third. the church today is probably worse.

I believe that Jesus knew what was going to happen because He is Omniscience. He knows all past present and future so anything that is happening He already knew it would happen and has allowed it to happen for a purpose in the order of things He has ordained. The end results and what is to come is all in front of Him. So is He mad at the condition of the church? I don't think so since He knew in advance what was going to happen.

2. If God was happy when you did something good and then got angry because you did something wrong, then God would have the charastuistics of a human being, seeing things as they happen just like us and He would be learning as time goes on, but God is outside of time. All stands in His sight. Nothing is outside of Him. He doesn't learn anything, He already knows all. I know many believe He is working through time as a human, but that is not the God of Scripture.

3. Will everything turn out the way He planned? Of course. He already told us. From the beginning of Genesis all through Scripture He has taken us through time, to show us who He is, what He does, why He does it, and what is to come. After all it is His plan. We only see through time because we are finite creatures, but He is infinite.

I believe Donna in her assessment of the local church is correct!!! O how correct!!

Rather than relying on what Jesse D.'s experience was, is, I'll take the Word from the Bible.
---Robrt on 1/8/07

We need to be diligent to present ourselves approved to God. We need to study the scriptures ourselves, not depending on others for spiritual growth or for "Thus says the Lord".

We are to lean on Jesus, not Jesse.
---TedH. on 1/8/07

LOL! Jesse was just quoting scripture. Jesus told us all the same thing!

Jesse Duplantis said that when Jesus told him, "Tell my church I'm coming back SOON." He then told Jesse, there will be one more sad day in his life, I will have to tell some of my creation, "Depart from me, I never knew you." I think there are lots of people who think they're going to heaven, but are not. I don't think the local churches are birthing forth evangelists, prophets, teachers, etc., I believe the local church is at a dangerous place of complacency.

At least we have a church, for some do not have the knowledge of god.
---Jacques on 1/7/07

What if Jesus asked your local church" what are you doing here to fulfill the great commission. Are you giving a few bucks to missionaries? Are you seeing people saved here in this sanctuary? I often wonder how the churches of today will answer these questions should they be asked.

#1 I believe Jesus would say, "Where is the untiy in Body of Christ?" The church needs untiy, unity of mind, the mind of Christ. If the Body of Christ, in its entirity, had the mind of Christ, we would all be in agreement. To have the mind of Christ, we have to give up our right to our own thoughts and ideas. Human nature wants to have a say, wants to share in the glory; it does not want to be nothing.

#2 When our heavenly Fathr looks on us, He sees Christ, not our human, fleshly nature, We are nothing apart from Christ. One problem I see with the opponents of OSAS is they are taking the responsibility of their salvation off of Christ and puting it on themselves. Christ is the one who keeps us and the responsibility should be on Him. We should get no glory for our salvation.

#3 There are many different ideas of what the Truth is and human nature says, "I am the one with the correct answer." No, without the mind of Christ, no one is correct. Jesus is the Truth, and we must have His mind and give up all rights to ourselves which includes our own thoughts. Pray for Unity in the Body of Christ.

i'm inclined to believe that every church both through the centuries and in this present age, no matter what the denomination, Jesus has already spoken about in revelations chapters 2-3

jack, all you gotta do is read the questions posted here, and many of the responses to see there are lots of confused people.they make issues of things that spiritually mean nothing.except that they have the wrong, encourage, uplift one another, not much of that going on.

I would suggest we all take care on anything we say about the Kings' wife. He loves her and finds her to be good enough to die for and makes intercession for her and has promised to be with her and bless her with gifts until He returns. Calling her degrading names is a sin. If you find her in trouble and don't help but only criticize, you may be held responsible.
---john on 1/6/07

People do tend to confuse what they say about something with what Jesus would say about it, thinking that they are the same thing.
---Jack on 1/6/07

If we are called on to give our view we could find many things we see as wrong. But, the Lord left it up to us to do the things He commanded. We don't think alike, we don't see things alike, all we can do is serve Him the best way we know how. Many will have some things to answer for. The Lord will judge our hearts. Thats something we can not see.

donna, we are not to judge fellow believers. but I must say with so many denominations out there, because people ,even believers seem not to be able to agree on anything, its a good thing that our hearts are seen and known by God.

part2 I believe there are gonna be lots more goats than sheep, when our lord separates them.many believe they are but many will be told by jesus, depart from me ye workers of iniquity for I never knew you.
---tom2 on 1/5/07

I would say that it depends on WHICH local church. Not all are alike.

But before you indulge in pointless speculations, remember that Jesus doesn't even THINK the same way we do.
