It sounds like your son might have made some bad choices in the past, and it has caught up with him. Bathe him in prayer and keep in close a contact with him as possible.
Find yourself a Bible study and get the social and spiritual support you need there. Ask for prayer there and lean on these people as much as you can. The Lord will be there holding you up in them.

The Lord will bring you through this. Remain prayerful, put your trust in God. As hard as it is now, every day you wake up brings you closer to your deliverance.
You are in my prayers.

Traci...I'm so sorry you are going through this with your son. As the mother of three sons who are now grown, I know how heartbreaking it is to see them doing things that hurt them. Your son will make his own mistakes and learn from them. You can be supportive through this, but do not let this destroy you spiritually, mentally or financially. God can get you through it.

Traci, read Psalm 91 everyday, exchanging yours and you son's names in place of me and thee.

Hi Traci, Please know you and your son are in my prayers. All very good advice on here for you. Just keep praying to God to help you because you want to get closer to Him, and He will! Talk to Him, tell Him what you wrote on here. God bless you.

Psa 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. If you belong to God in Jesus Christ, not only you but the life of your children are in God's hand.
Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

A close walk with the Lord is achieved by consciously and constantly trying to do so.
It's NEVER automatic.
When you think you're doing it automatically, you're in danger of falling--because you're probably not that close.

traci. It's very important that you have a group of people who you can talk to and get strength from. I hope you have a church family and if not, go and seek one out for support and friendship.
Your desire to seek the Lord is always going to benefit you.
