Because the things in this life are passing away, and everything they consume upon their lusts that God gave them cries out as a testimony against them in time.

They receive no reward after this life, God is revealed to us if we think about where anything in life came from, even if by the manipulation of man's inventiveness, there is nothing here he didn't create.

Live as though God can't see you and you don't even acknowledge him, much less receive all things with thanks as it should be.

I personally think that Jesus is enough of a reward in heaven!

As for the sinners and carnal Christians; they have their rewards right now and will have an eternity to regret the choices they make.

The Bible talks some on rewards I am not sure yet if specifics are mentioned. I love this.===Angry resentments in the world at these actings of the power of God. They fretted against God, and so increased their guilt and hastened their destruction. I won't worry so much about rewards. Getting to Heaven is my reward. [Look above rewards of the Wicked.] Jesus-worship- joy== rewards- wow!

I don't think it is totally unrealistic to think that Satan "blesses" some non christians so that they never learn to turn to God.

It rains on the just and unjust. The unsaved who use God's principles in business prosper like Christians using the same principles. We see real estate moguls with much wealth. If they don't accept Jesus while they are alive, their great wealth on earth is their reward. Only what we do for Christ, in Christ will stand up on Judgment Day. The unsaved are facing destruction. Don't worry about heavenly rewards. God rewards the just. Keep your eyes on the Lord and you won't miss the reward of Heaven.

According to the gospels, all tears and sorrows will disappear (absolue JOY!) and that heaven is more beautiful and wonderful than we can even imagine in our earthly bodies! To answer your question, think of the most awesome and beautiful place you can even imagine and Heaven is ever so much more with absolute JOY!

I agree 100% with Climacus Redividus except for the neo-platonic concept that we have souls. We are souls so OT and all pre, greek, persian lit.

Our reward, Christ will be our king, perfect in character, Gods Government on earth, no one will be decieved no more.

In heaven some do not receive more and some less, as on earth. We have intimacy with the Creator who owns it all, whereas they have no relationship at all with God. In the hereafter we enjoy the unspeakable riches of heaven in the New Jerusalem which has streets of pure gold, they on the otherhand will be thrown out into the lake of fire and brimstone for an everlasting torment. Please read Isaiah 11:6-8; 64:4; 65:17-25; Revelation 20:11-15; 21;22.

There's a great chasm between heaven and earth. If you had a choice to have all the riches of earth, or to have everlasting life in heaven with Jesus Christ, which would you choose? Remember the riches of earth are temporal, after you expire you have nothing but eternal separation from God, not even one smidgen of money. But a born-again Christian is blessed with Jesus now, and in the hereafter you live eternally in the paradise of heaven to enjoy all things that God has made for us his own children.

I think some of the posters have their eschatology confused. God's physical creation is good (Gen 1), and will be renewed in the age to come. Humans, being physical creatures with souls, are going to be resurrected and live on this new earthly paradise. We aren't all going to live in the clouds as in a Renaissance painting. We're going to live on a renewed earth! Accordingly, our rewards will be far more 'earthly' than might be supposed. Just read the prophets.

As a non-materialistic person I could care less about earthly rewards. I have worked for over 40 years and never lacked for a job. There is nothing on this earth that I own right this moment that could not be replaced. But, my heavenly rewards are so much greater. Just being able to talk to Jesus face-to-face will be reward enough!

What seems to be rewards here on earth is just temporary, a fact that is hard sometimes for Christians to realize. The eternal rewards (of which the non-Christian will receive none of) are being brought back with Jesus when he comes again. These rewards are for what you did in your body since your were saved.

I guess it all depends on what you mean by rewards. Not everyone is as happy on the inside as they look on the outside and peace of mind, which only comes from God, is worth more than millions.
