Let me tell you about an important piece of truth I learned and wished someone had explained to me many years ago. When you get saved you are not instantly changed by nature only by grace. The nature part takes time and is a process. Be not discouraged continue to seek and to practice being saved by the scriptures outlined in the New Testament eventually you will notice a difference, But be warned this process is challenged every second by the devil but persevere in Christ you will overcome.

You Now have a Clean Garment without a spot or wrinkle(sin) so try to keep it that way because Now you are Responsible for your new life and have to give an account for it. When you were unsaved you did not have that blessing so you won't be charged NOW you are saved. You will be charge if you continually sin with ignorance to the word. So keep your garment clean (Life)

Welcome to the fold.
BUT, don't be taken in with everyone that says they are a christian measure their behavior by the word which takes knowledge of it. Study to show yourself approved and it will keep you from the the tricks the devil will set up for you to slip. You will have to search the scriptures daily and look for the truth like you have just been given a ocean of earth to find (Gold )keep searching (Studying) you'll find all in the HOLY BIBLE.

Prayer! Get in the habit of talking to God as often as you need, but at least daily. Once you open your heart to hear what God wants you to do, then you will have your answer. For everyone it is going to be different, but Prayer is probably at the top of everyones list.

Find a church and if you have to, disassociate with your old friends. Sometimes when you loose your past, you find your future, but you have to cut off all ties.

You may not be perfect, but God still loves you. A new book: "I'm Still in His Hands" by Douglas L. Ross addresses the issue of christians sinning, and how sin affects our relationship with God.

3/ anonymous,

Also to be changed from the old vessel to the new, can only be done by the hand of the potter. Its not a work that we can do ourself. So the first thing is to surrender to His will and He will do the rest. God bless

1/ anonymous,

Being born again, or becoming a new creation in Christ is only an experience that takes place in part. Being born again, baptised into His death, being raised in newness of life, is only been given to us in down payment form.

2/ anonymous,

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
[14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

If you are born-again, then your whole life has already changed the moment you got saved! 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "..If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new." Jesus has already given you new desires. You will find you no longer like your old lifestyle. Read God's Word & join a Bible-believing church.

Repent, be baptised, pray, seek Him through His word and in SPirit.

Have you started attending a good church? A bible study with strong Christians, making new friends?

Jesus Christ is our pattern for everything we do. We must learn from Him and the Holy Spirit.

We may be required to give up our old friends if they are not Christians. A new Christian needs strong Christians to stand by your side.

We need help when the enemy tries to steal the Word of God from us. Do you have a new Bible? A new Bible of your own is comforting.

A good place to start is JOHN, pray and ask the Lord to help you, go slow, ask God to reveal the understanding to you of what you're reading. Go get baptized(thereby making a public recognition and confession of your faith) Almighty God will never leave you nor forsake you stand on that ground. May The Lord richly richly bless you!!!!

PLEASE, I'm begging you get alone with the Gospels and learn the life of Christ and as often as time allows be in prayer over his words.

Study his sayings and know what he thinks about every attitude and thought you could ever have even before you have it.

You NEED the Holy Spirit and you know you have it when you are looking at all things in a brand new light. Some hellevision programs actually turned my stomach after I got saved.
