Valentine's Day Gifts
She could be allergic to perfume, object to gems (for political/moral reasons, usually), or have dietary restrictions against candy.
But if you want it to be a surprise, dinner at her favorite restaurant, followed by a movie or play is usually a safe choice. (Just give her enough lead time to get dressed up.)
Or just spend a romantic evening at home. (Word of advice--if you don't cook, bring home take-out. But DON'T make her cook, unless that's her thing.)

Valentine gifts should convey to her the fact that you are always thinking of her. Perhaps a small kids snowshovel so she won't have to use that big one and strain her back when she's out clearing the walk and driveway. What's also nice is one of those garden seats on wheels. When she is washing the cars in the summer, this will allow her to sit comfortably to clean the low spots and tires rather than bending or kneeling.

Yes, jewelry is always nice! However gifts are not obligitory. A sweet card and some special treatment is always nice. I haven't seen many women comment on gifts for their loved ones! Going by Ralph's suggestions, I think I'll get my hubby a new mop and bucket! Maybe a brand new package of vacuum cleaner bags!

My husband usually gives me a piece of jewelry.
What I need this year is getting the garage door fixed so I don't have to push that heavy thing up every day.
Since you don't know what is appropriate I'd say a piece of jewlery as that lasts longer than flowers.

I would say...all of the above lol..jk :P

All I want is to spend time with my husband. He doesn't have to buy me anything. It is nice to receive flowers, jewerly, etc but a women or man shouldn't get all bent out of shape if their spouse doesn't buy them anything. It is a blessing just to have someone that I can spend that day or everyday with. Alot of people doesn't have a special someone in their life.

If I had a boyfriend or a husband, I would be happy with a simple "I love you".

Depends the relationship you have with the rcipient. Someone you just started dating doesn't get as rich a gift as your wife.

It would depend on the person and your relationship to them. Also, if you buy it now (not flowers) it will be a lot cheaper.LOL. And some people will tell you it's a sin to give on that day because it's a heathen holiday.

We've been given much in this life to lift our hearts.
God's Love, pets, flowers, art, music, and a box of semi-sweet chocolates.
