Went to Howard-Browne meetings back in 1994 and God moved incredibly in my life. I came to Christ back in 1983, but God seems more real to me since those 1994 meetings. I learned early in my walk with the Lord that my mind isn't the final source of truth and have learned to trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean NOT on my own understanding. I've learned to acknowledge Him in all my ways to direct my path. God bless! |

I went to a crusade once and wasn't very impressed, a lot of hype for sure, but little substance. I think the people he made to fall down in fits of laughter appeared to be staged. |

With a "friend" like you, who needs an enemy?
I doubt you're that close of a friend. |

He is a very biblical sound man and really a good person because I know him personally. But he is just a bit short on some Godly character issues and a little to bold and frank in some areas. I like him but wouldn't really want to hand out with him too much. |

#1 Feelings and signs and wonders but no Scripture. Not good. Uncomfortable - where did I write that?
\\\"And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders..\\\" |
|
---ShaunT on 2/19/08 |
#2 \\\"...And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.\\\" |
|
---ShaunT on 2/19/08 |
you must have a problem if you are uncomfortable when you see rodney howard browne speaking on tv. he is one of the most anointed preachers out there that is finally taking a stand to preach what is true. |
|
---kristin on 2/19/08 |
A bit over 10 years ago, the Lord used his ministry to open my eyes concerning the WoF church I was attending. So, does this man always rightly divide the word, no - no man can. Can/did God use him and his ministry, yes. The Lord set me free from WoF, legalist yuck. Jesus told the disciples, "if they are not against us, they are for us." So, watching your own heart's attitude, speak correction when he's in error, and then let God handle him. God's much better at it anyway. |
|
---daphn8897 on 2/19/08 |
.shaunT, I see zero harm in Rodney's preaching, and on the contrary, I see the disease of depression and the spirit of melancholy being driven out from among God's people. God has commanded Rodney to spread cheer among the body, but the Accuser of the brothers as you are, will mock what they have no part of. What are you yourself doing for the kingdom, besides dissing the evangelists of God? |
|
---Eloy on 2/19/08 |
I am guessing that you have never been in one of Rodney Howard-Browne's meetings. The way that you would feel uncomfortable is if you were not living for the Lord. I have never in my life felt God like I do in his meetings. The signs and wonders that take place are undescribable. When I get touched in a meeting, I do not care what anyone thinks, I just know that it was the very presence of God. Instead of saying he is a false teacher, get into one of his meetings, and speak again. |
|
---nicole on 2/18/08 |
Eloy - Perhaps you did not read my post clearly. Where pray tell did I say laughing was wrong? Where did I say laughter was not a blessed thing? I rather spoke to a false teacher who is making a mockery of the things of God. A man who thinks he can pour out the Spirit like a bartender does a glass a beer. A man who like the other TBN wolves is devouring widows homes so he can live a lavish life. This is blasphemy as is being "drunk" in the so called spirit. |
|

#2 Laugh I do, but as I grow in Jesus and see the sin in the church my heart grows heavier where I'd rather be wise than a fool.
"It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men, and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth." (Ecc 7:2-4) |
|
---ShaunT on 2/15/08 |
#3 - The Lord likewise gives ample warning to the fools who dwell in the house of mirth.
"Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep." (Lk 6:25)
Choose rather to be blessed and forsake Rodney Brown and the house of fools brethren:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." (Mat 5:3-4) |

.shaunT, how long ago has it been since you yourself laughed? a day ago, a week, a month, a year, five years ago, never? No wonder you don't like it. And so instead of happiness, you would rather want every body else to be miserable just like you. Too late, I think I'll laugh right now because those with joy have been set free from sour faces, and those whom would try to spread their sourness onto us whom are loved by God beyond all human words. |
|
---Eloy on 2/15/08 |
.shaunT, God has humor: Please read Deuteronomy 30:9, Psalm 2:4, 37:12,13, 59:8, Isaiah 62:5, 65:19, Jeremiah 32:41, Zephaniah 3:17, Luke 10:21, John 11:15. |
|
---Eloy on 2/15/08 |
.shaunT, We are told to be happy. Psalm 98+ 100+ Isaiah 35. |
|
---Eloy on 2/15/08 |
Stodgy to expose the apostate Rodney Howard Brown who is a wolf in sheep\\\'s clothing? You have got to be kidding. So, should we all step up to the bar so ol\\\' Rodney can pour us a glass of his holy spirit? This man is a deceiver and damned lest he repent. He is fleecing the flock and making a mockery of the Holy God. |
|
---ShaunT on 2/13/08 |
If you truly belong to God, you may ask God who is fake and who is true. He might tell you. He certainly tells me whenever I ask Him. |
|
---catherine on 2/13/08 |
No laughing matter! Browne is indeed a false prophet. |
|
---Leon on 2/13/08 |
It has been declared through the Holy Prophet Elisabeth Sherrie Elijah, that Rodney Howard-Browne is one of the Evangelical Prosperity Pimps (EPP). Who, if unrepentant, could very well end up in Hell and the Lake of Fire. GOD does not take lightly "teachers" of His Word TWISTING it and dishing it out to GOD's sheep for MONETARY GAIN. |
|
---Gordon on 2/13/08 |
There is nothing wrong with laughing. You know what his ministry is about before you go attend, therefore if you don't like it or don't like laughing, then do not go and do not attend, but don't dis a preacher for doing what God told him to do. Because you are too stodgy and sour faced and spirit-quenching, don't bad-mouth something that is good. Shame on you spiritless bad-mouthers, get saved and stop racking the evangelists whom are changing peoples lives for the better. |

Jesus, his Apostles, St.Paul, and countless others never had bodyguards, yet RHB does. Jesus, his Apostles, St.Paul, and countless others never lived in houses by the sea valued at over $1million, yet RHB does. Jesus, his Apostles, St.Paul, and countless others never laid hands on people and they begin to writh, wiggle, jerk, and laugh, yet RHB does.
"The Son of Man has no place to rest his head." Sleep well tonight Rodney. |

I have been in pastor brownes meetings for ten years. i am always changing and constantly learning. i have been to many churches and i know i am changed for the better there always.its hard to even stay in a church where people are more lacking in movement to a salvation walk. i look at me and i love and forgive and wish all of us could feel gods love like i do. thankyou glenda |

I don't know, but do not knock laugher in the or with the Person of the Holy Spirit, it is real. |

---catherine on 11/26/07 |
Can anyone on this blog prove the authenticity of "holy laughter" in scripture? I can't find it. If Paul warns us not to be drunk with wine, then why do those who are so-called "drunk in the Spirit" at certain church services act...well...drunk with wine? That's a contradiction. And please, do not take scripture out of context while trying to prove this false teaching. |

I have been delivered from severe mental illness by this ministry by (God's) power but the Mona Vie thing and Rodneys apparent materialism is disheartening.Orange Juice is as good, wheres the science? Monavie and ex Amway shaker and mover Brig Hart preach from The River, and his buddy Scott Willis, who was in the front row in Louisville last week....shameless.Rodney was good friends with Karl Strader...who's doing 60 years for fraud.Homeland security won't let Rodney become a citizen,he is human,to be sure. |

Man O God, emphasis on MAN. No man is perfect but the man Christ Jesus. I can testify that this man is a good pastor teacher. again emphasis on man. I would encourage the sceptical to pray off the religious spirit when attempting to discern. Dont look at it through the lite of your past religous experience. I have seen his ministry effect through the tv, on children actually that were innocent, and unbiased. He's good. |
|
---david on 11/18/07 |
I have had the opportunity to sit down with this man on many occasions, and have found him to be a true man of God. Look at the fruit of his ministry, God is truly using this man. Thousands of people are being saved on the Great Awakening Tours around the USA. When he speaks by the anointing, there is a conviction of sin that takes place by the Spirit of God, and thats why I you are feeling uncomfortable. Allow God to set you free. Jesus Loves you. |
|
---Walt_D._Woodward on 11/13/07 |
I also resent MonaVie being called a scam. I have seen the health benefits of it in my family and others. Pastor Browne is to be commended for sharing it with people. They have the opportunity to enjoy better health and may or may not pursue a lucrative career in the functional health beverage industry if they choose. Do not judge a man of God. |
|
---Brenda on 11/4/07 |
I object to Monavie being called an "MLM" scam on this post. Monavie has made a tremendous difference in my health. I met Rodney Howard-Browne one day at Barnes and Noble. I sat down and talked with him, and although I have never followed his ministry, I believe he is helping restore the health of thousands of people by introducing them to Monavie. |

The few times I saw him on tv, he seem to have a great anointing, on his life and ministry. The Holy Spirit was overwhelming and many people seem to be blessed and falling under the power of the Holy Ghost. The services were awesome. I think I taped a couple services. He seems to be genuine. |
|
---Robyn on 8/8/07 |
They are exploiting the sheep to push a mlm. scam called mona vie. I was personaly approached and told that I could make enough money in 4 months that I could stop working for-ever. That was his right hand man basil his brother. When I questioned the means buy which they were promoting the product he got intensly angry! He said was he did not care about the ethical implication of mlm. he said he did not even think about it, but only that he could make alot of money doing it!! Wow!! |

A group of our church leadership attended meetings held by Dr. Brown in 1995. They brought back a great annointing to our church that we had never experienced before. Many members were added and many salvations occured including my husband and I. Since then my life has totally been transformed. I recently watched Dr. Brown,s summer camp meetings. I had never seen him in person nor had I heard him speak.Even at home, the presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong I could not stand up under it. |

I have attended a service of his in South Africa. After he leaves, many are saved and start going to church. Mighty stupid devil to use him to populate various different churches (not his own)if he is not of God? I have seen many lives changed and people start serving the Lord from his ministry. What more can I say? |

The word of God SAIDS ," that when you are under the influence of the Holy spirit, you can make all kinds of judgments, but you cannot be judged by no man. Also look at 1 corin. 6-2. Saints shall judge the world. The bottom line is this. IF one christian shall rebuke another christian== pray first. THEN MAKE IT SWEET AND SHORT. |

As someone who has experienced the teachings as well watched some of Rodney's broadcasts, i would be hesitant to critisize the Spiritual authority that he obviously holds.Rom 11 v 29.Remember if you judge you must also be willing to be judged yourself ,Luke 6 v 37.None of us are without sin,Rom 3 v 23.If you think him wrong tell him to his face,Math 18 v 15 |

Thank you Susie and Catherine. This word 'anointed' does not mean the same thing to all people I believe and I feel that it is used very glibly by some preachers. They announce that they are anointed but that, in itself, does not mean that it is God who has anointed them. They then use that verse to say "You must not criticize me because I am speaking with God's authority" when, quite often, they are not. It can be a very 'handy' verse to use to keep their followers (and the cash flowing). |
|
---m.p.a. on 2/6/07 |
"touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm"
This verse does not apply to self-appointed prophets or preachers. |

Having not completed a study of this man I hesitate to be completely thumbs down on him. But my initial reaction to him tells me that his teachings are false and I am certain that some of his prophecies have been false. Therefore I recommend staying away from his teachings. |
