What Does God Want From Us

What is it that God truly wants from us? From my way of thinking, He simply wants us to be the best possible people we can be, for today. And to follow the Golden Rule, without expectation.

God created us to worship Him. Some people think that means simly to get down on our knees. It's beyond that. One of the reasons He sent His only Son to earth was to teach us about praising Him in the way we serve each other. How you treat your neighbor reflects how much we serve Him--for it is one in the same.

To be like him through Jesus Christ.

David, God wants our hearts. He wants us to come into a close fellowship with Him and love Him with all of our heart and soul. Once you do that, get to know what He's saying in His word. He will reveal things to you through His word as you study it. Love Him with all of your heart is the first thing we are all called to do. Then Fellowship with Him, then study His word "to show yourself approved."

My best advice to you is to read the whole Bible and see what God wants, not what I want or your pastor or your pope wants. See the Bible. Two verses left strong marks in me, and even three: In James it says: True, undefiled religion in the eyes of God the Father is this: to visit the widows and the orphans in their afflictions, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. In John, Jesus says: This is my commandment, that you love one another. And you will find a lot more. START!

If you would like to know what God wants from us read James. It is a very good way to learn what God wants from us. You are suppose to give yourself to God. It says so in James 4. God is suppose to plan your life and you are to be patient. If you want to know the power of prayer read James 5:13-18 and Hebrews 4:14-16.

God wants mankind to have a relationship with HIM.He gave us a way....JESUS CHRIST.

A person can be the best person in the world and still die lost without God. God wants us to worship him with our whole heart as he created us to do. The angels can praise and worship God but they know what God can do, we have only seen a part of what God can do.

Jesus told us that the two great commandments are to love God with all our heart, soul and mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. In scripture, Jesus says that if we love Him, we will obey Him. God basically wants our love.

God wants us to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. He also wants us to keep and obey His Word and Commands (10 Commandments), to love others, and to practice righteousness. God wants us to act justly (do right and good), love mercy, walk humbly with Him, look out for orphans & widows, keep yourself pure & holy, fear God, keep His commandments, be holy & perfect, carry others burdens, do good to all, do His will, and be like Jesus.
