"Do not think for one moment that you are trampling upon my people for you are not, you are trampling upon God Himself".
---catherine on 11/8/07

Those who are born again are all God's anointed. But if you are talking about leaders being attacked then yes, I've seen it many times. Usually I see the attacked person pray for their attacker and the attacker goes unharmed. Sometimes a harsh judgement happens. David would not attack Saul. But Korah did attack Moses in Num.16 and he got into major trouble.
---john on 11/8/07

Anyone who attacks one of God's people is doing a very stupid thing. And God takes it personally. "Don't think for one moment that you are trampling upon my people for you are not, you trampling upon God Himself." And that is scripture. You can look it up.

Jack - Aren't you glad that when you stand before Jesus on Judgment Day you will not have to take a spelling test?
---Helen_5378 on 3/16/07

John's answers seems the most accurate here.
We are anointed for one purpose, the great commission of God (Mark 16:15).

I also think that there is much credit to give to Michelle's blogs regarding witchcraft within the church.

Jack ... You wite a lot of sense, and I am pleased to stand alongside you in trying to make peace between warring sides.
But we don't have spell check, and fingers can easily go wrong, and in any case, there do appear to be different spellings in different countries.
We all know what these words mean, and I don't accept your premise that misspelling shows ignorance of the subject
---alan_of_UK on 3/3/07

I very often blog late at night and I think my brain gets confused! I have some misspellings on some blogs, but I'm often writing at 2 or 3 AM and I get sleepy and don't notice them. (Its 1:45 am Pacific time now!) This old gal needs to sleep...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
---NVBarbara on 3/3/07

No big deal Susie, we know what you mean! I do wish we had 'spell check' here, especially for the Mods ! J/K! - We love u Mods and appreciate your work.

Dispicable(sp?) exz! I've never seen that, isn't it a cartoon on TV?
---NVBarbara on 3/2/07

For those of you out there who believe you don't have to pay attention to the Old Testament, would someone please tell God that? Because my bible says, "God is the same yesterday, today and forever." Where in the NT does Jesus say, "what God said years ago doesn't apply today, don't listen to Him, don't obey Him because back then God didn't know what He was talking about and he sent His son to do away with my words from the Old Testament." Where is this in the NT? Nowhere, right?

**Good for you, for jack often challenges someone's opoinion because of some small speeling error. What does that matter?**

I've noticed that being unable to spell a word properly is a good sign of not knowing what the word is talking about.
---Jack on 3/2/07

For some reason I have always wanted to spell anointed with two nn's although I know how it is spelled. Of course, the moderator spelled it wrong too. I could have blamed the moderator! LOL!!!!!
---Susie on 3/2/07

Susie, Yes I have, It's not a pretty site!
Have you ever read Psalms 18? Great chapter!
---kathr4453 on 2/27/07

Helen ... Good for you, for jack often challenges someone's opoinion because of some small speeling error. What does that matter?
It's interesting though, that in the UK, we spell it "anoint" The "nn" is not even given in my dictionary as an option.
But we all know what is meant so why does Jack have a problem?
---alanUKquent64534 on 2/26/07

Jana - I cannot read your post because you have all those words in code or something. Would you please write it out in full in future so that we may all read what you have to say. Thanks.

John - ("We are God's annointed to carry forth the great commission") -- That is exactly right. We all have an annointing and are all called to preach the Gospel. We are all one in Christ. God does not have any favorites. That is why I said that "God's annointed" refers only to the O.T. where the Prophets etc. were "God's annointed".
---Helen_5378 on 2/25/07

Jack - You are picking at straws again. Here in Australia we spell the word annointed. Anointed is American.
---Helen_5378 on 2/25/07

Family Guy is attacking The Father and Jesus on youtube and Christians are saying it is alright,I am beginning to believe that I am not a Christian, I will now call myself a follower of Jesus, the name Christian is now meaningless, they are taking the lords name in vain.

What makes me one of His anointed ones, Is because, I have a testimony. When Jesus saved me, I actually felt His Blood rushing through me. I tell you that I felt it. I did not sense it. I felt it. I did not understand it at the time, but now I do. I want to thank you my Lord and my God for the CROSS.
---catherine on 2/25/07

Helen. ""God's anointed was in the Old Testament""
2Cor.1:21."Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and ANOINTED us is God."
We are God's anointed to carry forth the great commission.
---john on 2/25/07

I wish people would learn to spell the word "anointed" properly.

There is NO doubled n in the word.
---Jack on 2/25/07

Helen, since the 10 commandments are located in the Old Testament, I suppose you think they don't apply to us today either.

God saids,"Don't think for one moment that you are trampling upon my people for you are not. You are trampling upon God Himself".Preachers and prophets are called by God for special service. We are not better than anyone. If you do your job you won't be popular.

And what exactly would be '' results of attacking Gods Anointed ?'' Proverbs 8:9 Reprove not a scorner least he hate thee, Rebuke a WISE man and he will LOVE thee. I guess you will be Loved. :)
---Carla5754 on 2/25/07

God's annointed was in the Old Testament. It does not apply today. All of us are in Christ and we all have "an annointing from the Holy One" (1 John 2:20). All are one in Christ. It is wrong to elevate preachers and pastors to the level of "God's annointed". Vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will avenge any and all of His children.
---Helen_5378 on 2/24/07

This message is only for God's chosen people. We don't have to fret about what people think about us or say about us. A world filled with lost people that are headed for Hell. A world that is lost and is headed for Hell. You know who you are. You have been bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Have a great day.

1 I've witnessed a leader mistreat followers with dictation, control and condemnation, as well as judging those who praised God. He was heavy handed towards followers. Ezekial 34 speaks about the the leaders of Isreal, who delt with a heavy hand toward the followers, they fed themselves and not the sheep, the sick were not healed, the broken hearts were not mended etc. God says in that chapter that He would require his sheep at their hands.
---Chris on 2/24/07

2. One night the leader spoke against a single mother, she had no offering. He thought she did. Over the offering he prayed, " Oh God don't send us someone with another testimony or praise, send us someone with finances. The next day the leader was in the hospital.

Despite one of the members preaching, rebuking the leader and mate, and another minister giving the leader and mate a word, which was Love. They would not change. They both became sick. One lived the other passed away.

3. Whom ever has truly dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ and made Him thier Lord and Savior is anointed.

1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same has not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
---chris on 2/24/07

4. So if a child of God, a true believer in Jesus Christ is mistreated, this is what Jesus has to say about it...

Luke 17:1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come.

Mark 9:42 And whomever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

5. Jesus also said...

Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

What Lael is saying below is is the truth. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. and 1 Chronicles 16:22 says, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm, if you want proof of this just look what happened to the sister of Moses, when she spoke against him she was struck with leprosy.
---Cynthia on 2/24/07

Yes, God takes the best of care of his children. He will care for those who do me good, and he also takes care of those who do me wrong. We whom are his very own and called by his name are most blessed. YHWH of hosts says, whoever touches you, touches the eyeball of his eye. And I will bless them that bless you, and curse them that curse you. If you desire to see and feel God's wrath, dis us and mess with us his kids; and truly I say to you, you will truly see what your own Creator will do onto you.

In the 80's Sadat arrested Shenouda, Patriarch of the Coptic Church and put his own appointee in his place. Many people, including Demos Shakarian, warned him that God's judgement would fall on him for daring to tough God's anointed (note there's no double N in the word).

Curiously enough, the bishop that was shot in the crossfire was Sadat's apointee as substitute.

This is the SECOND time I have written this reply.
---Jack on 2/23/07

My father pastored a little country church in which the whole family was involved - mom played piano and taught classes, they both could lead worship, etc. All the kids were involved, too. When a disagreement arose, a faction in the church chose to try to vote him out. Awful things, false things were said about us. Their effort failed, they ended up leaving. One after another terrible things happened to them. Many came and repented, saying they had been wrong. Several died within a very few short years.
---Lael on 2/23/07

That would be witchcraft.

Those who use 'don't touch God's anointed', as a threat or means of control, that's witchcraft.

It's not proper. God is Holy. When people start proclaiming themselves to be Holy, Anointed, using that term, you're going to see witchcraft operating in a church.

"You should have seen what happened to the last person who spoke out against me." That's pride and witchcraft.
---Michelle on 2/23/07

Those who operate in charismatic witchcraft have a handicap; they don't know what they're doing or saying. The "scourge of the tongue", Job 5:21.
The answer, is to put on Christ's love.

If you can remember that, you can stay out of charismatic witchcraft.

Charismatic witchcraft is controlling leaders or anyone within the church. It can be done using personal prophecies, declarations, "don't touch God's anointed", so you can control others.

It falls in the same house of incantations, spells, enchantments, divinations, prognostications, etc. It may be on the first floor of the house and the top floors are more severe, but it's in the same house.
