mima,we can only go by what a person says and does after we deliver the message, but that has its limits.only God knows a persons heart.remember the apostles were a mess the whole 3 years they lived, walked, talked, ate, with jesus.and IAM SURE THEY MADE MISTAKES EVEN AFTER THE RESURECTION AND DURING THE EARLY CHURCH. soory about the caps.the struggle of life can create doubts in anyone,we have enough to do keeping ourselves straight.don,t doubt or worry about others, let God deal with them.

just to add ,yes we should as believers have relationship with non beleivers as testomony to jesus thru him in love. but remembera doubting person can drag you away from God,my point is not to allow this to happen.
---tom2 on 3/2/07

Scott; that is kinda selfish isn't it? Just worry on your own relationship and don't worry about others, that is what you said. So if I see a sister or brother in Christ, that are straying off of the path, don't do nothing, say anything to them, just let them go? So you see people dying and going to hell, and yet you don't step? I know that I am going to heaven, I'm not worried about me, I'm worried about the ones that don't have Christ.

We should be walking testimonies so that others want what we have! I led a friend to the Lord several years ago, he wasn't an active Christian for a while, but he was studying and finally got into a fine church. I watched him grow in the Lord and become a mature Christian man. He died 4 years ago of brain cancer, but he didn't fear death, he knew where he was going.

we as people sometimes do doubt, but it is not for us to judge someone elses motives and sincerity.God looks on the heart.you can fool people but you can't fool GOd.
---carol on 2/27/07

Oh, my goodness. If you have doubts about your salvation, then you are not saved. Let me explain. I am not talking about the Devil throwing doubt and unbelief at you, I have that sometimes. You ask God to take that away and He does. But if you are in doubt of your own salvation testimony you are not saved. Jesus does the calling, the choosing.

If I were you I'd spend more time with my own relationship with God. Don't worry somuch about what happens with others. Just have faith. God is in charge. Amen

robert ,apparently you have misunderstood my posts,I said someone who claims to be saved and over ,and over, and over again have doubts needs to let God deal with them.apparently reading and knowing the word doesn,t relieve their doubts ,then we need to pray for them and allow God to deal with them

genuine, brother from my vast mission trips and many covsation i WOULD SAY THERE ARE VERY FEW genuine christians.
---tom2 on 2/27/07

Tom2, You said "We have enough to do keeping ourselves straight." A genuine Christian would not say that, because a genuine Christian realizes the need for others to be witnessed to. For your information, we are commanded to witness to others. And please don't tell us it was for just the believers of the early church. We will all have to give an account of what we did, to tell others about Jesus and eternal salvation. Is it that your too lazy to go out and witness, or...?
---Robert on 2/27/07

God used me to witness and lead others to Jesus. Even when I felt inadaquate, I had confidance in the work of the Holy Spirit in me, and He took over. Even one scripture can pack a lot of punch. It's a great joy to lead others to Christ. Also, if you ever witness and you don't see results right away, don't dispair because a seed palnted can grow into salvation and ultimately glory for God.

I have scored 84% yes I have heard people call on the name of the Lord many times. i have on doubts, because we leave the result to God.

mima,I know people who claim to be christians and have doubted for years their salvation.our job is to deliver the message.their job is to accept or reject not spend a liftime wondering.its the job of the holy spirit to convict not yours.if any person comesto you and expresses doubt then if you are able you should examine the situation.but ultimatley its not you that doing anything its the holy spirit.
---tom2 on 2/25/07

part2 scripture tells us no one comes to the father lest he draws them.God uses his word to drwa men to him.he uses people.situations, many things.but ultimately GOD has todeal with all things in anyones life, and will judge all things done in the body, even doubt.

mima, there are literally millions of people who will never lead anyone to jesus.I have been on many mission trips .and have seen thousands of people saved, but few that reach the fruitful stage as described by jesus in the parable of the sower.the cares of this life are too much for most.read the message jesus never said to go back over and over and over again to the same people.we shopuld deliver the message and allow santifiction thri the holy spirit.thats jesus,s plan.
---tom2 on 2/25/07

mima, remember what jesus said to the disciples he sent out.if they won,t receive your message then shake the dust off.it would be better for them who were in sodom then these.sounds like he didn,t want you to be returning, over and over.and paul writes no man of two minds will receive any reward from God.sounds like God knows about the doubters.the doubters are stuck, don,t get stuck with them.

mima, my point is dont get caught up with people who live by sight ,or feelings and never faith.for welive by faith not by sight.many many so callled christians have never and will never live by faith, cause they have none.thats my point.
---tom2 on 2/25/07

Mima, I had the pleasure of presenting the Gospel to my paternal grandfather and a sister-in-law when I was a teen, and I believe they both were sincere. Both are now deceased, but, I feel certain that I will see them again in Heaven. The amazing thing about it is that I wasn't actually saved myself at the time, though I claimed to be. My sister-in-law went on to become a speaker in a women's ministry before her death.

With the heart the man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I tend to believe people unless they live like the devil. Then I wonder. But I try not to be the judge. Even those kind of people have surprised me later on. Some of them take longer to deal with things than others. But God is faithful to continue the good work He started.

I wander how many people that we lead to Christ that we may never know about. And Unfortunately, people that we think we have and have not, sense Jesus does do the choosing and the saving of souls. I wander!

I totally disagree with this statement."we have enough to do keeping ourselves straight.don,t doubt or worry about others, let God deal with them."
---tom2 on 2/25/07 --- if one doesn't truly know they are saved, then they will be concerned with keeping themselves straight. And they will never be able to hear nor follow God's leading to witness to the lost. And therefore cannot complete the great commission.
---Mima on 2/25/07

I led my mother-n-law to God. I done the talkin' she done the walkin' to the alter. I know that she got saved. I felt the power of the Holy Ghost come over us. She was a faithful Christian for a long time, but now she is straying off of the path. I can only pray for her. But for me to question if she is still saved, it isn't for me to decide. I don't know her heart, but know her intentions. But good intentions won't get someone in heaven.
