Eternal Security Scriptures

Does this verse even remotely speak of eternal security? Second Corinthians 7:10" For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."

Eternal Security Scriptures? "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know the hope of 'His' calling, and the riches of the glory of 'His' inheritance in the saints...the exceeding greatness of 'His' power to us-ward who believe according to the working of 'His' mighty power. In whom also we have 'obtained' an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of 'Him' who works all things after the counsel of 'His' own will." Our security is in the faith of Jesus.

Our security is--or should be--in Christ Who is eternal.

But I wonder how many people are putting their security in their own act of faith.

Big difference, though sometimes too subtle to grasp at first.

The result of Godly sorrow is salvation. The result of worldly sorrow is death. Sounds pretty secure to me either way.

If you are rightly saved, you will rightly live.

God gives eternal life, this life is eternal. What part of eternal do you not understand?

We don't work to keep our salvation, but we work because of our salvation. If we work to keep our salvation, then it is a salvation of works and not of grace.

AMEN m.p.a.:

God put a conscience in every man. Read Romans 1&2. Those who have not seared that conscience put in them have a conscience to know they are a sinner. The first step to repentance. Those who say "there is no God" and have made the world or themselves their god have no hope.

How about "Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. or in another version "He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

2 Timothy 1:12
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Amen Nana and it harmonizes with (John 10:25-30) It says nothing can snach us from God's hand. It also says though that Christ gives eternal life to those that follow Him. The passage is talking about those who follow Christ in obedience, faith and love. Can I get an Amen. Many abuse this passage by saying it is eternal security no matter what. no it is eternal security only for those who follow Christ and listen to Him(Hear my voice in passage).

Here is one guaranteed:
John 8:29: "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him."
