Share Some Testimonies

May we please share some good testimonies? One of my 3 Catholic friends said the sinners prayer last week. She asked me to lead her into the prayer and I did and now she wants to get the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Can you rejoice with me in this? It's exciting. Do you have any testimonies lately?

Good morning.Praise God that your friend said the sinners prayer and has freedom. That is great she wants to have baptism but I believe you receive the Holy Spirit by believing Jesus died and rose and thet you then repent of your sins sincerely and turn your life over to Jesus.Jesus then gives you the Holy Sprit to help you through lifes journey.Once again,I am thrilled your friend has found God.I love my God and my life belongs only to Him.

Tell all your friends if they are truly saved they have the Baptism of the holy Spirit, the moment that they are saved. No great mystery.

My testamony is simple, and applies to every aspect of my life.
When ever I find myself comsumed with the troubles of life, and when I can't see my way through, something "the holy spirit" on the inside reminds me, that God is faithful, and just. The next thing I know, I'm coming through it. He moves in ways that we would never expect, or understand, I don't try to, I simply believe ...,

testimonies of Jesus Christ. I do not know where to begin. I have so many where He intervened on my behalf and saved my life from instant death. One that I would like to share is a day I was riding my bike on my mission for God. I was carrying groceries home in one hand. I saw a car a mile up the road. I thought I had lots of time so I went ten feet and turned left.

2-To my shock, the cars bumper was next to my leg traveling forty miles per hour. I heard the brakes and screams of people standing on the street. I went the full width of the car, over a curb, in between a tree and post and stopped. the car did not touch me, did not break an egg either. Does God live and protect us? . Definitely. I have no doubts. that is why my faith is so strong in Jesus Christ. I cannot thank Him enough for my life. I would feel honored to share more if anyone wants to hear them.

I prayed the sinners prayer because I was told I'd go to Hell if I didn't. Later I was told I have to repent as well. Could never figure out what I had done that was so bad that I deserved Hell. I discovered that I was still sinning after hearing the Ten Commandments are a good definition of what sin is. In Luke 13:3 it says if we don't repent we will perish. Merely saying a prayer does nothing. I've finally realised why I was deserving of Hell and how much God must love me to have died for me anyway.

Wow Rebecca D==I just love it, when these people say the right things. It's Bible. If you will look at all the scriptures on Salvation. WOW again. I will also thank you, for Jesus. Have a great day.

YES!! Donna I can rejoice with you! Praise the Lord for what he has done for your friend and how he has used you. Last night in prison ministry a man from Russia soon to be deported said a sinners prayer with me. He was Greek Orthodox raised the Lord convicted him while my friend was speaking. Surprisingly perhaps, this man spoke perfect English.

I understand the sinner's prayer. but if a person isn't convicted of their sins, they can say the sinners prayer all they want, that doesn't make them saved. If a person is just uttering Jesus is Lord with their mouth, and their heart is far from him, they won't become saved. It has to come from the heart before they can speak it with their mouth.

I understand the sinners prayer, but if God isn't convicting them of their sins, they can say the sinners prayer until their blue in the face and still won't get saved. One must confess with their heart Jesus is Lord, not with their lips. Acts 2:36-38. These people were pricked in their heart (convicted) and they wanted to know what to do then, Peter told them to repent. I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just saying everyone must be convicted of their sins before they can ask for forgiveness.

#1 donna6598, **HOW do you Ryan, get someone to confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord?**

I don't think that highly of myself. I know, from diligent study, that it is only God who can place this ability upon someone. You quote Romans 10 and neglect the previous chapter. You might want to read John 6:65 and the part in Romans 9 that says, "it does not depend upon the one who wills it".

#2 donna6598, And, again, what you call attacking is refered to in the bible as standing for truth. And as I am led by the Spirit I will continually denounce the lies of Satan whenever I am confronted with them.
---Ryan on 2/28/07

donna6598, BTW I did not attack anything I merely responded to the blog with questions. I apologize if this does not meet your protocol for proper blog response etiquette.
---Ryan on 2/28/07

Ryan, I have asked you several times to please NOT attack a person's answer, but to respond to the blog. You continue to do this, why?
Here is what the sinners prayer is:
"Lord be merciful to me, a sinner."
Romans 10:9 Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved

HOW do you Ryan, get someone to confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord?
---donna6598 on 2/28/07

Yes, I have found out what it is like when God moves out because of Sin. How you can no longer feel His presence, not even His love. When He finally comes back, how beautiful everything is again. Only a fool, well you know the scripture. I have already given it on a earlier blog. I shall finish it anyways==says there is no God, He is evil and does no good.

Ryan, the sinners prayer is to acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you accept Jesus as your salvation and Lord, and that you repent of your sins and live a new life in Jesus Christ. You must also believe that He died on a cross for your sins and that He was raised from the dead on the third day, and He now lives. Your life will not be the same after this if you are sincere, and the Holy Spirit will guide you. All Christian must do this.

That's wonderful. I love testimonies.
A couple of months ago we baptized one of the town tough guys and this last Sunday we baptized his wife and 2 kids. He has totally changed so much that some people don't even recognize him. He was up for some assault charges from last year and the judge let him off. Now he has a real job too.

So your friends will initiated her relationship with Christ? Sinners prayer? What in tarnation is that?
---Ryan on 2/27/07

Last Wednesday night at church, this woman that was visting our church, stood up and asked us to pray for her daughter. I knew that this women wasn't saved. She had a spiritual death upon her face. We gave an alter call, and within a few minutes, she walked up the the alter. I knelt down beside her. When she got up from the alter, that death look was gone. The light of God was shining through. Praise God he's good.
