An example. I live life with a guy who has an ANGER problem, Every day of life, he RAGES against me for the slightest correction of my kids. He is thrilled when my boy disrespects me. I truly suffer. i respond in anger, hurt, and sadness daily, but the Bible says, Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord; Looking diligently lest any man fail of the GRACE OF GOD; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; part 1

Part 2......Lest there be any fornicator, or PROFANE PERSON, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Mima, I take it one day at a time, but yes I have resolved to be free from sin and with God's help I remain so. But, I am not free from the temptation of sin, and occassionaly I stumble - and when I do, I repent and seek His forgiveness and I ask Him often to never let me separate myself from Him.

This may sound confusing or contradictory, but being a sinner is a little like being an alcoholic, desolation is only a sin or drink away. But we put our faith in a higher Power - Jesus.

Romans 10:9-11 Please read this. John 3:3 When Jesus died on the cross His final words were "It is Finished" He paid it all. So if you are saved by Grace then you will be living a clean life that can be a witness to those who are lost. In otherwards a clean Christian life you will now lead. Will it be easy no! Can it be done yes with Jesus' help only. A year from now look back at your life and if it shows a change you are saved. If not you are still lost.

(John 14:12)
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
(John 14:15-17)
If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever 17the Spirit of truth.

Romans 6:1-7
1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?........
5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

---lorra8574 from reading your answer am I to believe that you believe you are at this moment free of sin?

An unrighteous person is not absolved. Blessed is the man who God does not impute iniquity. Grace is greater than sin. If grace is applied, we are absolved.

We are not absolved after grace. We are called to be in Grace, made so by Christ see Ephesians 1:6. Christ died for our sins as the perfect, once and for all sin offering or sacrifice. But is it possible to fall from Grace, Adam and Eve were made in this same state of grace until they chose to disobey God and brought sin into a world where there was none before. The NT is clear that true Christians will not sin, but there will be those who will fall back into the mud of sin - it is a choice.

cynthia, not sure what you are asking?scripture tells us by grace ye are saved.meaning that it is a free gift from God.the gift is salvation ,through repentence, and acceptance of jesus.when we accept jesus, righteousness is imparted to us.we are born again, born of the spirit.it is only free because nothing you can do will earn it,NOTHING.least any man should boast.

And in this verse the Greek word 'Akathartos' is used. This same word 'Akathartos' is the same word that is used to describe the children of unsanctified marriages. HMMMM...Very Interesting.
