sandy, all these scriptures I gave you are ones which tell us to forgive.a good place to start would be to become a forgiver yourself, not saying you aren,t.and always remember God says he will forgive and he does.any guilt you might feel is not from God.

Confession is good for the soul. When Jesus breathed on His apostles and gave them the authority to forgive sins on His behalf, He knew something what we did not.

When I sin, I confess my sins to my confessor, and I hear him absolve me. And I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from my shoulders and I know that I have been forgiven.

What is more important is that after having done this a few times, I have become more keenly aware of sin and I am less inclined to sin.

We must remember, as a Christian, we ARE forgiven. We dont get forgiven. We have died to sin, through Christ.

In 1 John 1:9 clearly says that if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us from all our unrighteousness.
But a man who always commit and willfully sins against God because of this verse then meditate Gods words if you are really a son of God.

Agree totally, amen...We are forgiven, no more asking.

That word in your comment is the culprit, "feel". We walk by faith and not by sight. We don't feel forgiven, we believe we are forgiven because we take God at His Word. Not to believe is to make God out to be a liar. If He says, He has forgiven us, then He has.

Pharisee-- That was so pretty.

Start living the life that wears sandals and has no provision apart from what God gives, that has no place to lay it's head and no comfort apart from Heaven.

God has not only called you to salvation, but a life of salt and light; how could you help another find salvation if you have no confidence in yours?

When you walk in his will for your life the fear and doubt have to leave and you will know what it is to "only believe."

sandy, let me say that you are not uncommon.most of the human race can not understand and fathom the forgivness of God.why?basically because of the life we live and the people in the world ,and our own feelings, and the lies of satan.dear believe me when I tell you GOD DOES NOT LIE.scripture tells us he is faithful and just ,to forgive us from all unrighteousness.when you trulY repent, and ask God to forgive YOU ARE FORGIVEN. everytime all the time.God is not a God of guilt feelings.

knowing you are forgiven, and feeling forgiven are to diffirent things, its reffered to as the word becoming may read as many verses as you wish, but if you do not live them, making it flesh, alive you will not feel it when you ask for forgiveness say thank you in advance, and live as if you have been forgiven in thanksgiving that they are gone, and when you doubt, god gave his only son who died for you sins, what better way of reminding yourself you are already forgiven!

Rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus and tell him to go back to hell where he belongs.**

Satan and his cohorts have not yet been sent to hell, therefore nobody has the authority to send him "back" there.

Quit relying on your feelings. Rely on what God says.

I agree with Rebecca. The Word says anything you ask, believing, you shall receive. So if you have asked forgiveness and you believe, you receive. It's as simple as that. Don't let any one or anything fool you. God said it and that is final. All you need to do is believe.

Rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus and tell him to go back to hell where he belongs. This is what Satan does, plays with our mind by telling us that we are not saved and that God doesn't love us. If you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has forgiven you, then you are forgiven. Do not let Satan steal your assurence that you are saved, cause if you let him, he will.

I hope this helps.
Ask God to allow you to forgive yourself and FEEL HIS SPIRIT while reading 2 Corinthians 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.
